  1. And now moving the goalposts. That's to be expected when you've repeatedly been showing your ignorance in how actual businesses conduct themselves, pretending that loyalty and thanking customers is some kind of fiction.
  2. Yeah, you're a terrible consumer. Thank you for proving your ignorance.
  3. Petition EA for Telltale to do a Star Wars game for them and anything's possible.
  4. Apparently reading is on par with your consumer skills. Because he continues with the car analogy here: and you got a response here:
  5. Then if it's nothing like buying or leasing a car, why use it as an analogy? So, your gym doesn't offer long term members with access to personal trainers, free classes, access to the juice bar, and more? Again, all you seem to be showing is that you're not terribly savvy consumers.
  6. What? Four years ago I signed a contract stating that they could never thank me? That they could never introduce something better and more in line with I continue to want out of the game? Silly me.
  7. So the dealerships and leasing agents that offer you free gas, maintenance, and the like for long-term repeat customers don't exist? Are you all just terrible shoppers in that you just automatically accept whatever the first provider gives you?
  8. It's a little better than two years old. With it happening every month, though, it can feel as though it's been around forever.
  9. If you want to play the HK-55 chapter, you need to pay $120 over the course of the time allotted. There is no other way to get the material. Therefore, the story content is gated behind a time-sensitive $120 paywall. You miss it, you're shafted. If it is untrue, please show me another way to get the HK-55 chapter in-game without paying the ~$120 from January 11 through August 1.
  10. Entertainment. Retail. Even the banks and financial services you mention still regularly thank you for your business and in some cases offer you other products or discounts for your continued patronage. Pretending that loyalty rewards and bonuses is somehow an alien thing is well...rather short-sighted.
  11. I have no desire to support a company that gates story content behind a $120 time-sensitive exclusive paywall.
  12. Even Telltale doesn't do that, but they don't have the audacity to charge you $15/month for their chapters. It's either a flat fee of $25-$30 for the "season" or $5 per episode depending on the platform.
  13. Likewise, we owe BioWare nothing. They are not entitled to our $15/month. This is why they're trying to hook us with a consecutive, exclusive incentive plan to gate story content.
  14. "Jediism" is likely considered an official religion somewhere. I'm sure that an overzealous civil and religious rights lawyer would be happy to make a name for themselves defending why purchasing Star Wars products should be a charitable endeavour to practitioners.
  15. Just call them incentives already, they really aren't "rewards". It's not about past loyalty, it's about hooking people into continuing to subscribe over the course of KotFE. Also, I'm still disgusted by gating story content behind a $120 time-sensitive exclusive. The "bonus" chapter idea is worse than the Cartel Market Shroud datacubes.
  16. You're paying for a service. If it ceases delivering what you want, should you be grateful? If you don't like it, a service that previously held your interest and you do want more of but are being underserved, you should just bite your tongue and walk away? Another person, I see, who prefers playing with himself. Don't complain to the rest of us when they start turning off the lights and telling you to go home.
  17. This is almost exactly the same as what they did with Nico Okarr though, to keep people subbed over the course of the summer into KotFE.
  18. Story content locked behind a paywall. That's understandable, acceptable, and more or less an industry standard. Paid story DLC, aside from the most staunch anti-DLC advocates, I don't think anyone has a real problem with that approach. Now, paid story DLC, locked into a time-sensitive exclusive whereby you have to leap through x, y, and z hoops in order to receive and if you don't, you will never see it...the more I think about it the more I think it's a terrible idea. This isn't an event like the Chevin Grand Acquisition Race that came around once for the people playing at the time, this is a chapter of the story in an MMORPG that is currently emphasizing story at the moment. This isn't story content datacubes locked behind an RNG drop in a cartel pack, that they swore that they would never do again. This is somewhat worse and more insidious, this is story content locked behind a timed $120 paywall. If you miss it, or for whatever reason decide that $120 isn't worth it for you, you're locked out of that story content forever. They were right, this does break precedents. Even though paid, time-sensitive companions kind of paved the way for this, which also is a form of story content locked away from new users and people who missed the time cutoff forever. And I fear that the new one it sets is not very good.
  19. They said during the livestream that these would be HK-55 related. I would expect it to be somewhat similar to what they did with Nico, which would mean we'd see things like HK-55's rifle, maybe a companion customization or two since as a droid he doesn't have any wearable "gear" any more. I wouldn't expect more than that.
  20. I still don't quite understand why the two neglected classes for class companions (smuggler and bounty hunter) to return in KotFE, didn't have two of the characters most suited to Bounty Week (Akaavi and Torian), receive alerts for their recruitment during Bounty Week. Even if it went unannounced, it would have been a pleasant surprise and a something during the time SWTOR is laying fallow. *shrug*
  21. You can have no combat whatsoever and still have a game be an RPG.
  22. Especially considering I have my doubts the HK-55's return will actually be "in-story", but rather extraneous, much as it is currently when someone opts to get back their class companions instead of waiting for them to pop up through the chapters/alerts.
  23. For that rare person who subscribes part way through that first month, I guess? Just trying to ensure that everyone is subscribed on the first. It doesn't seem like a fairly rewarding incentive to me, since subscribers are the only ones who get it in the first place. Also, if you were intent on waiting until multiple chapters were released to sub again, "two days early" isn't much of an incentive either.
  24. Maybe "BIG" was meant to be an acronym? Bring In [the] Gullible?
