  1. 1v1 sounds a bit silly really. Fun for a few minutes and then gets tiring fast. I would suggest 2v2 or even 3v3. Personal opinion but 1v1 will just eventually turn into "Battle of the Hybrids". I didn't see if there is a faction that this is going to be on or just server wide? Still not enough information to decide on this. This is a good idea for exclusiveness but it seems to defeat the purpose for an "open" tourney. So basically, whoever is leading this needs more information posted.
  2. This is correct. There is not a specific "server time". The Pacific time zone is widely used due to the fact that this server tends to be west coast dominant. Whenever an event is held, normally, the original poster announces the time of it within their time zone.
  3. I would just go by the "ranked" channel in game found here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=693696 Seeing if anyone is active within that channel clues me in to queing. With that being said, I'm not sure there is a real need for this thread.
  4. I'm not too sure what the big ordeal is in this thread. I've been casually following since the beginning. Realistically, JMD can transfer wherever he/she may want to as well as type however he/she may want to. I could care less either way. If JMD was such an annoyance on the JC server, why didn't they just /ignore? So then there is something to complain about? I would suggest using that energy for something else. JMD is free to post on the forums and if the terms for his/her PvE seems unreachable... it sounds like his/her problem. No offense to anyone but this thread has gotten a bit out of control and veered dramatically off subject.
  5. I will agree with you to the extent of facing many players on this server in ranked. It has died down compared to previously although there are many reasons for it to have. I never claimed knowing so much about PvP on this server just knowing what I know about PvP in general. There will always be a player I am up against. If it isn't another player, then it will be myself and improvements I can make. The matches for regs or open world PvP may not be anything to boast about but I assume everyone, aside from war zone quitters, make an effort to bring there "A" game since I do. Also, to state, saying that there have been no competitive PvP since good Imperial guilds have left yet having a few regular war zones that have been does not make sense. I admit there are a few war zones, mostly premades, that yield excellent matches due to the players but even in a war zone where I am matched up against them, I'm still taking something from it. Whether it is a win or a loss, understanding opponents game play is important.
  6. As a "dedicated Oceanic PvPer" should you not know how competitive PvP is no matter what server it may be on? I would "assume" since it does involve players competitively fighting against other players there is room to understand that no matter what, players will be bashing each other. For some odd reason, I don't think you should factor in your cheap laughs as valid argument points. Understand what you should as a PvPer.
  7. You say that like a PvE server is strictly dedicated to Operations and Flashpoints. At least they are whining about it on their own threads. Seeing as you may be a PvE'er, you should stick with what you know best and avoid threads such as this.
