  1. They introduce new bugs. They don't break entire zones. They RARELY fail to fix bugs that it specifically said that it has fixed. They can manage to fix tooltips. 3 / 6 patches shoukd not cause bugs. And small tuesday updates rarely introduce huge bugs that everyone notices that need hit fixes. That is reserved for content patches.
  2. Come on Bioware, seriously? First major patch. They tried to rush out too much content too quickly, and delayed it. They then released it early and completely broke the game for a day, greatly unbalancing valor ranks. GG Then wins don't give credit toward your daily / weeklies. They release a patch that states they fixed this issue. They simply did not. This issue and false patch note goes completely unaddressed by Bioware. In the following patch, instead of trying to continue to fix that issue, they fix other less important ones. While doing this, they completely break Ilum, A SECOND TIME. Straight Fail. In this latest patch, it said that reusable Exotech adrenals and stims are now useable by everyone and are no longer bound to Biochem. Here's the kicker. Biochem can't even learn that recipe, because it is broken!!! It gives an error whenever they try to learn it! Here's one thing that just blew my mind. In the patch notes, it states, "Rakata medpacks have had their healing reduced. The tooltip will still show the older healing values." Um, what? You released a broken patch, and to boot, you couldn't even change a tooltip? People keep saying "Just wait, the game will get better." Yeah, at the rate we're going, it's getting worse and worse. My hope has fast faded. I'm sorry. It just absolutely blows my mind that in a month and a half they have released 3 failed patches. And the fact that after failing to fix ONE issue they ignore it and move on to other random issues. AND CAUSE NEW PROBLEMS! Just... ***? If Bioware could please respond and ensure us all that they actually have an organized competent team behind the game, that would be wonderful.
  3. Good lesson. Now let me "edumacate" you using real analysis: Full damage increase/reduction from 650 expertise is around 11.5% You hit someone with tracer missile with full expertise for 1700 and crit for around 3200. That's about 86% crit bonus from surge. (No relics / adrenals) Now they have no expertise. So now you're hitting them for around 1900 with Tracer Missle. Critting them for around 3550. Now let's say they're 50% green geared and 50% blue geared. I would say that that is around the difference of around 3 - 4% damage reduction in armor values. Now you hit them for 2000 and critting for 3750. Let's add in a surge relic and adrenal! Let's say it gives you an extra 15% bonus to your crit damage (I feel that this may be conservative). Now we're at around 100% bonus. There it is! The 4,000+ crits with Tracer Missle on ungeared players. 4,000+ crits on ungeared players compared to 3,200 crits on geared players. That is a 20% crit damage increase on ungeared players. Not simply only the 10% that you say you have. MATH! You also have two rows of buffs in those warzones. God knows where you get all of that, but in the average warzone mid-game I have around 2 player buffs on me. So all of these estimates are quite conservative. Make an unedited video with no buffs, no pocket healers, and against a majority of champion geared players and we'll see how good you are.
  4. Guides? Specs? Come on, this MMO has the most SIMPLE talent trees in any game I've played. It is 100% clear which talents you should get. The difference between a common sense spec and a pro spec may be 10 sec on a cooldown or 2% crit chance. A different spec won't make your tracer missile crits go from 2500 to 4500. Only 600 expertise, surge, and a 0 expertise target can do that for you.
  5. haha come on, those videos are hilarious. Let me sum up the clips. *Full champion target* Tracer Missile hit for 1300 Tracer Missile hit for 1600 Tracer Missile crit for 3400 *HERE COMES A 0 EXPERTISE FULL GREEN TOON* SWITCH TARGETS Pop Relic. Pop Adrenal. Tracer Missile hit for 2500 Tracer Missile hit for 2600 Tracer Missile crit for 4000 Heat Seaker Missile crit for 5200 Show me a video where you demonstrate your ability to dominate a full champion geared player by purely outplaying them, then we'll talk.
  6. 67 bags and one peice of gear? That is an outright lie. That is 201 centurion commendations. That's at LEAST three peices of centurion, probably four! Haha, nice try though.
  7. I JUST climbed this "high" wall! I don't understand what you're talking about. I play a merc, too! The class with the least survivability. You don't need to talk to me about getting rolled with no pvp gear. With 200 expertise and artifact quality gear you will do FINE. Yes, some 50s will outgear you and roll you. Happems to me plenty. It happens. Play your class, learn it, get gear as you do. If gear were EASIER to get, then all of the 50s would be in full battlemaster and new 50s would be complaining that they only have full centurion and that it's not fair. It's an MMO, why get gear unless it makes you better than your competitors? As a BH, it CERTAINLY wouldn't be only because it looks cool.
  8. So imps get to do their weekly the first day, and republic may have to show up to illum a few times to get in a good group. Imps will get so much more ge..... wait a second, you can only do them once a week! Works well. So then you have 9 gear bags at 50. You will likely get one or two peices of gear. That's 100 expertise. Go do HM BT. If you didn't waste your credits and PvP'd to get your bags, you should have around 200 - 300k credits to throw around. Hit the GTM. 30k credits for artifact quality implants. 70k for an artifact peice of gear. Buy them! Gear is SO easy to come by in this game. Previous MMOs have greatly spoiled people. I have been 50 for a week and a half and have full artifact gear and 300 expertise. Just play the game!
  9. What is this myth and complaint about us getting geared quicker because of "easy wins?" Warzones were terrible pre 50 brackets and came down to "who has the most 50s." I got dominated repeatedly in pvp. I hit 50 in 3.5 weeks and went through a week of getting owned by all the geared 50s. Now I have 300 expertise. Spend less time on the forums and more time in warzones getting gear! Don't expect to hit 50 and be just as good as the people who have been 50 for a month. Heres a tip. Level from 45 - 50 in warzones, collect 1000 merc comms and 1000 warzone comms, after buying one gear bag (unique, can't be opened until 50). Now you have 6 gear bags when youre 50. Then do your two dailies the day you hit 50. Hey look! 12 gear bags your first day of being 50! Stop QQing.
  10. I hit 50 1.5 weeks ago and had to put up with the same thing. Do the two pvp dalies / illum weekly for 5 gear bags total. Buy champion bags with the commendations you aquired while leveling and run hard mod flashpoints for gear to have a higher damage output. Buy items off of the GTM since 50s don't know what their items are worth yet and epics are fairly cheap. 1 week you should have 200 expertiese and pve gear. You'll do fine. Don't expect to hit 50 and be as good as every other 50... This is the case in ANY MMO. The only difference is that you can get as good as other 50s in only 1 or 2 weeks and not 2 months.
  11. I got from 50% into 35 to 50% into 36 (around 8k valor) in 15 minutes of doing nothing. I'm not sure about getting 60 in an hour, but the gains ARE outrageous. I played a Huttball match afterward, went 44 kills 1 death and 6 medals, lasted 15 minutes, and got 1200 valor. I am not lying, this is truth. And I would agree that it is pretty game breaking and by tonight the majority of 50s on the Empire will be 59 valor or higher. Bioware are in over their heads.
  12. You would be surprised what a class could do in 2 seconds. 2 seconds in MMO time is like 15 seconds in reality hah. Any longer and it would make mercs overpowered. 3 or 4 seconds would allow an Arsenal Merc to get off a seeker and a half, doing 20% of someone's hp. 3 or 4 seconds for a Pyro Merc is an entire second rotation packing 5k-7k damage.
  13. Oh I played a mage for three years, I am fairly competent in the kiting department and know about side strafing / jump shooting. Funny thing is, my thought process in rolling a BH was, "I played a squishy caster for three years. I want to play a heavily armored class with less dps, but still be damage capable!" And ironically, lo and behold, I'm a damn glass cannon again. So I have experience. I just wish I had more control of a fight than just "run away and shoot." One thing I do that you didn't mention as well is pop my instant cast CD and drop a concussive missile on someone if it's 2 v 1. Works best 1v1 though, because if they break my dart then I hit them with that. Dumb thing in 2 v 1 is that EVERYONE has a CC break on a low CD because EVERYONE has CC. Anyways, if we had a root then kiting would be much more effective and would turn it into a more offensive strategy than a defensive "oh **** oh **** oh ****" strategy.
  14. I'm level 50 pyrotech in full pvp / pve epics. I hate mercs that complain about pvp at level 30. I have 250 expertise. I do alright, and yes I love kiting, but it only lasts for so long. When an assassin jumps me I jet boost. They stun. I stun. They sprint / lightning. Warriors have leap. If my class is going to play like a mage, I want the strategy of a mage. Not just kite. 2 v 1? Forget about it. I'm dominated. I want a chance to get away and resituate myself and have a CHANCE to gain the upperhand. Not just drop my mouse and keyboard waiting for the respawn button to pop.
  15. No, our class is fine. I enjoy being the worst 1v1 class in the game, depending on teammates for survivability.
