  1. Between slicing tours, Resist feasts out of both Daily areas and OPS, and the plethora of money making gimmicks the various crew skills offer, people sitll cry cash grab when you can get millions of credits in hours, pluck the unlock off the GTN and still retian your coins for other uses?

    Dayum

  2. Gree sphere mounts, various trims of it.

Blue - Legend status, a number of grey helixes

Red - Xeno HM drop ( and not even a guaranteed drop )

Cyan - costs in helixes and/or snow-covered parcels, has an additional bit going over the top, but the easiest to grab of the lot :)

  3.

Also, given that Republic still continues to operate on Makeb (the Staged Weekly), it is likely that Empire cannot mine it in large quantities.

Nopes! Reason being that, as Jace Malcolm states, at the completion of the weekly, that the planet will be " uninhabitable within weeks " due to some gas liberating from the core or something like that ... despite this bringing into play if the makeb week is the same, conventional terrestial 7-day week, and the fact that 2 years onwards, we're still happily able to chug along sunny on makeb, that's probably the story reason why the mining stopped...

  4. Sorry, but I find your stances VERY Myopic.

The Hands serve Vitiate, but who is Vitiate really? Perhaps Valkorian is the man behind Vitiate and they serve him?

And nowhere, NOWHERE does it EVER say the isotope 5 was used.

However minor and totally unaffecting it might be, there's been " isotope-5 bombings " during the assault on tython FP, on rep side

  5. I do not like exploiting, but it seems that bioware have made me one :p

Today I got a warning in the mail for selling and rebuying chairs.

I know for a fact that I bought 51 chairs (bought 1 first, and then a stack of 50 to fill up available) It seems i inadvertandly must have resold one (1) chair.

While I cant argue that in the most extreme interpetation I accidentaly managed to exploit, I do find that lumping me together with the people that exploited for several millions a bit harsh

Now, I am not gonna threaten to ragequit, unsub or anything like that, but the fact that the appeal took less than 2hrs and a got a copy/paste answer basicly stating that they had "investigated" the matter and they would not change their ruling a bit hard to accept.

I assume it is a bit of software cheking for ANY resales, but I think the threshhold might be a bit low :p

Not really angry, just a bit sad that my account now have an infraction for something that I never intended to do, and the fact that the apeal system is such as it is.

I assume that a few post will follow with "you know what you were doing", Punish all who resold, etc are comming, and I can't really say I blame you, as I thought the same until this morning.

So you got done for 100 creds? astonishing.

Looks like bioware decided to choose " black " in a " black or white " policy regarding the chairs. Scary.

So they're really taking seriously exploits now, which is good. (not saying that getting done for a week over 100 creds is cool, but still)

Not sure if to be happy for BW's now-serious dealing with the exploits, or what.

  6. Yeah, being stunned every 5 seconds isn't really that... Epic.

Seriously, who is the genius who decided to give Revan 5 different stuns that he only uses on the player character?

My guess is probably like in movies and some games, where the protagonist gets dazed by something and sees the battle carrying on all around him, to see how the allies keep fighting against the enemy.. or something along these lines ...

    • Long term vision for the game. Probs getting some news after Kofte hits and they get their numbers, sussing out in kofte had brought chaps in, or not. However, IIRC sure that current map goes by: Kofte 1st 12 chapters upon launch, then more in 2016, togruta and yavin SH got next 6 months map covered, and, mayb, who knows, god forbid, some surprise content that'll lead us to the all-mighty carbonite freeze of doom.

    • Mid term road map. Kofte's hype has us covered in hype, and otherwise, till october

    • Information, or the lack there of, on a multitude of continually requested in game features/changes. And what do you expect? " nope, you'z not getting it " at most times, maybe it ends on the wall of crazy. whatever they have planned it will be implemented. whether we get something asked or not, just gotta wait and see

    • More interactive discussions with players about intentional class/game changes/redesigns and class balances. Mara/sent gate made sure we ain't getting any of that for a bit. Despite being not most folks, but just a minor bunch of idiots doing * that *

    • Engine ability/update in relation to player concerns covered and covered. Too messy.

    • Monthly/weekly/daily community interaction on hot button issues, or good will Got Kofte trailer thrown at us 2 weeks ago, don't expect a weekly or daily feed, again, they could, but yeah, again, mara/sent gate definetly didn't put in their interests to talk about hot buttons.

    • Illicit feedback for certain game direction content I'll be honest and say I didn't quite catch the meaning of this

    • Discuss upcoming changes with players on a larger time table Help yourself, unfortunately, to the sent/mara gate point that's written here and there in the answers

    • etc. just to name a few. I'm sure more people could add plenty more.

I know some of this stuff will come to fruition (I hope) as we get closer to KOTFE, but overall it just seems like dev/player communication needs a big kick in the butt. I'm sure most of us here wouldn't be mad over getting more information and interaction, more often.

Definetly would be willing to talk about features, or, heck, even just watch conversations about others.

Now however, because of a few imbecilles that as usual get faaaar to detatched from reality, they had to go and pester devs, and the ones close to them. Rightfully, may I say, they've clammed up again. I personally didn't write anything regarding the mara/sent changes, but, yeah, I'm also getting the consequences of it. TL:DR, if the devs have clammed up again, blame those fellas, not them

Allow me! in green, cuz red = hostile and yellow = devs color

Coloring fail in the quoting. Good luck whoever attempts to read that.

  7. I do commend you Bioware for being a little more transparent lately. Every bit of communication goes a long way to foster a good community, and open a dialog between players and developers.

However, the new communication does seem like it is still over just minor issues though, and I still get the impression that there is real fear in open, honest conversations with your player base. Bug fixes, ptach notes, and exploit updates are great and all, but really are just a shadow of the information exchange that we need.

    :[/b]

And what information would " we " need? Just gimme a few topics samples, or something :)

  8.

I was expecting that! I enjoyed SWG but things have to change and it certainly looks for the better!

    A former SWG player.

Accepting to let go of the old, and to let swtor in.

    Whoa.

( If you stick around the forums for some time you'll realize why I'm so amazed, awed, and everything between )

  9. Well, I was planning on buying 50 of the chairs.

I hope you can differentiate between those who just buy them and use them and those who buy them and sell them back...

should be good, probably gonna notice who's resold a whole heap of them and who binded them to their dec roster...

  10. I think I found a way to revert launcher to state of using BitRaider:

    1) open launcher.settings file with notepad

    2) find line "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\", \"publictest\": \"SSN\" }"

    3) change it to "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }"

And it should help you :)

Can't say for sure yet, but a " reorganizing data " seems far more reassurring than a 13 GB ( and god knows how much more ) wall.

    My thanks. :)

  11. Yeah, I can see how that may be too difficult for you to interpret. My bad. Keep doing what you do...I was simply making a suggestion.

What I'm trying to say is that in 3 years gameplay, I've always downloaded ahead, ADDENDUM: and it has always worked

( and apparently I'm not alone in this )

Me and a few other would like a fix, or a how-to-fix since, you most likely know, a 13GB + DL, for at 180MB patch, after a 14 hour downtime isn't exactly cool.

    But, yeah, Impatience! rawr! ;)

  12. Did they tell you it was ready to download or did you just assume it was? Unless they specifically told you the download was ready, they didn't screw up...you were just impatient.

Never had to wait for an annoucement*, and downloading ahead is to get the patch ready for when the "servers online annoucement" comes about. Always worked. And apparently a few other fellows in this threads are experiencing the same.

Tallying up at 14 hours downtime and 13 GB and counting download...

    * Never seen a " patch is ready to download " annoucement.. not around these forums, anyways, only because I've been digging on reddit for some info, have I come across what musco wrote, and even that was written today only because of what is occuring currently...

  13. If players become "outlanders" and they are not jedi or sith anymore, will we be able to run FP or Ops with players of the opposite, extinct faction? That is, ex-reps and ex-imps in the same group?

Think you'll find your answer when they'll explain more about, " most of the content being tuned to 65 " and " better than cross-faction " ;)
