  1. The fact that 1 guy can still win over 4 due to stealth and positioning is pretty much not realistic.

     

    But nevermind that, specially when it drags on and on until the acid and still you're going to lose.

  2. 1) My main is a rep toon, imperial-aligned as of 5.2. Who exactly should I seek out to do Tyth OP with? imps? still reps?

    and is there anyway to revert to rep side ( not for story ofc,but just for the sake to being able to join rep groups ) ?

     

    2) pre-crating for the incoming conquest, I just realized that a crafting mule and occasional comp, a 50 inf. yuun, has totally disappeared from my comp tab, like, totally, as though i've never had him. I may think that the iokath alignment might've done sometihng, but that surely would've warranted some sort of explanation? like " having betrayed the republic, yuun dropped you " or something... Also got in my quests a repeat of "the alliance" chapter where you get told about recruiting him, so maybe he vanished because of that. any ideas?

  3. Issues:

     

    #1 )People attacking each other, both ranged and melee from very unconventional distances, sometimes even seeing bolts flying from one spawn to another.

     

    #2 )Repositioning of friendly and enemy players once every 15 seconds or so.

     

    #3)HP, proc sounds, and attacks activating normally on both other players and myself.

     

    #4)All my attacks and off-heals proceed normally as my connection were stable, with CDs, casts and everything, and seem to hit stuff, but my attacks, when they are in range, do the same as issue #1

     

    This has started occuring today, out of the blue, after 500-ish ranked matches. This issue for me luckily seems to be relegated to my ranked experience alone. Initially thought it was the latest hack, but enemy team still died over it. So heavily doubting that now. I'm presuming something on my end. Was also suspecting the patch, however yesterday after patching, I was playing ranked no problem.

     

    Any ideas, community? :(

  4. I can imagine for PvP'ers it is about being competitive, in the end that is what PvP is about. So when you pop the same queue as all other players, the chances should be equal. I'm not saying those chances were always equal, but RNG and boosts for CC coins will make it less equal.

     

    For some hardcore raiders it is important to have "world's first kill". That is also a form of competition. Or DPS trying to be competitive with each other about how much DPS they can pull on a boss. Same explanation i gave with PvP can be inserted here too.

     

    For me personally it is not about winning, it's way more practical. Those boosts will create an even further split between players. Combined with the GC system i am not only losing good friends in the game, if they decide to come back they will be so far behind that it will take them quite some time and i (and my fellow teammates) am not able to help them get geared for the things we like to do.

     

    There are still a couple of raid groups left in the game, just a few. They dedicate themselves to spend time together in clearing the hardest content. I don't know if you have ever hardcore raided, but it takes a lot of time to get used to each other, each others classes, each others failures, the mechanics and so on. RNG will break up these teams, because the team has now become purely individuals who cannot be helped to get what they need to get back in the team. Ofcourse the team can help individuals get XP as fast as possible, but again, RNG still exists, so it can all be for nothing. Now imagine one of those players using a boost. That will make it even worse. If RNG keeps ending up in a "not so good" direction, people will simply get tired of the grind, start slacking, start to not be present which will have an effect on the rest of the people in the team and in the end the team is gone.

     

    The positive side (if you are even able to call this positive) is that it's the old content all over again. So a lot of people do not even care anymore and say f*ck it, i am not going to do the same content again. But i know already quite some people that IF they leave now, they WILL come back when new real group content is added. BUT, they will be far behind, creating a new split in the team.

     

    Ofcourse you can say now: do the new "group" content called Uprisings. Well, a dedicated group of 8 players = split in those. Or do the DvL bosses! Which will have quite the probability to be taken by the biggest guilds on prime time. But you can open world PvP them! Sure, let's go 8 man vs 24 man guildies to secure that DvL boss, not gonna happen.

     

    In the past couple of posts i already explained that this whole new system is a great benefit for single players or very small teams. The current leftovers of old school raid teams are f*cked. But i guess that is just the case and i need to create my own personal peace with that.

    Don't really know just yet how pvp bolster will work with the removal of expertise but there will be a case there, with 5.0, yes. I'll say that much :)

     

    Regarding ops, well... Never seen the importance of pulling out bigger, or biggest, numbers, the kill is what mattered to me back in my own ops days.

     

    Also folks seem to forget actual figures like GTN where the boost will without a doubt end to. and the extreme easiness of credits nowadays.

     

    And the bigger guilds eating up the smaller ones is already happening on so many theatres of the game already. GC isn't changing that trend :) To specify DVL cases, the bigger guild will gank in a pvp instance, while just taunt and reset on a pve instance. Already happening.

  5. I saw some speculation that there are going to be Command XP boosts sold on the Cartel Market in 5.0 and the possibility to sell Command Crates on the Cartel Market like the current packs. If they do this, it will be a full on pay to win system. They specifically mentioned in one of the livestreams that they could sell power on the cartel market, but don't.

     

    If they do in-fact cross this line, the day this game goes pay-to-win will be the last day I ever play this game.

     

    Can someone from the dev team please unequivocally state that something like this will never be in the game in order to end this speculation?

  6. Was thinking of a basic rule set heroic sever, 1 character slot, 1 death PvE though, goal would be for special Acheivmemts that would be for account wide rewards, if you die you reroll. Perhaps even let me see, with A actual GM events where they actually participate? Lol!! Also legacy would remain after a character death. Yes I know about the current servers, but this server would only be for Subscribrs! If successful perhaps a PvP server with same rule set. Just a thought. :)

     

    So... after don't know how many dumbings down this game has received ( and with folks still dying a-plenty ) , you're suggesting a server with permadeath in it. And a pvp focused one, should the pve one have success.

  8. Can I get some sort of musical player ( much like the jukeboxes ) to get vode an played at my whim throughout the game?

     

    It brought back much nostalgia from RC :( , hate to see it gated behind the chapter 14 instance.

  9. You want to interrupt force blast.

     

    Don't know how level sync now works in that republic " Dromund Kaas " area now works.

     

    Knights can interrupt by:

     

    Force kick - The De-facto interrupt

    Awe - Aoe 8 second stun

    Force stasis - 1.5 second channel for u also but stuns for 3-4 seconds also, and ofc interrupts.

    Leap - ( ? )

    Force push if you're playing as guardian.

    So between usual faces bickering and stuff, I'm just gonna put a complacent :) for it all.

  11. Ever since 4.4 came out, was seeing "EC this, EC that"

     

    And I was like: I don't remember anything being changed for Explosive Conflict... so what's up the community... This went on for the last week or so.

     

    Today I acknowledged what the new EC stands for...

     

    Nothing much to this post really. Just Looking For Veteran Feels :ph_lol:
