  1. I haven't played in years. Maybe close to half a decade? Probably not THAT long, but close enough. Anyways, I'm trying to find someone who I don't believe plays anymore. Last spotted in guild The True Republic on Star Forge (though that wasn't always the server, they've been compressed a lot from what I hear), his name is Peaches. A green tank consular I used to run flashpoints with nonstop on my commando, Andralea Kass. The last guild message was from him, oddly enough (he wasnt guild master when I quit!) and was about inactive players The message was in 2019, and I haven't seen him (or anyone else in the guild) log on since. If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it. Or if this is the wrong forum for it, tell me that too.
  2. I was recently told that they were making a change that stopped people from having a bazillion pending quest rewards so that they could instantly hit 60 when the expansion came out, and that come the expansion, you were going to be limited to three - and the rest would be reset. I understand that, but I wanted to clarify something. Recently someone mentioned that this also applied to 'completed' quests. IE, quests that were done but hadn't been turned in at the appropriate npc/terminal yet. I've got 25 completed quests, so understandably I'd like to know if this is true or not.
  3. With the new expansion coming out, they've revealed that the dialogue and endgame mission scenario will change a bit depending on whether you reach it by doing the OPs or by doing the single player missions (ally gathering or some such). So basically I'm looking for an imp side guild that'll let me leech off of them for a single run or pay them an exorbitant amount of credits to take me with them. I don't care about any of the items that will drop, just getting to the end of the story. Character is an assassin so I can do either DPS or Tank. I do have a decent amount of experience (have done almost every ops on a republic toon at least once, and can get whatever voice chat program you use) and will probably have full whatever the new basic gear is the second the xpac hits due to stockpiling comms. Character name is Telriana, either mail me or leave a message here and let me know
  4. I read in one of the interviews today that you'd get two different scenarios for the 'final battle' in the new expansion depending on whether you did revan as an ops boss or just solo'd your way to it. What I want to know is if we can do both to experience all the dialogue, or if we have to do it one way on one character, and one way on another.
  5. End game armortech is best used for mk-9 kits and advanced 28 augments. There's a chance to crit and get 2 of them for the price of 1, and the general selling price (on my server anyways) is ~100k for the kits and ~120-150k for the augments. Just make gloves for the components. I've maxed out all the crafting skills and have yet to see an easier way to get them than making gloves using armormech. I believe it's 2 - 2 - 4 in terms of mats used (2 flux, 2 metal, 4 compound). Some have said that biochem is easier, but there's more than one compound needed to make the 52 implants you disassemble for components, and its a pain in the rear end to get a lot of.
  6. We thank you for your continued patronage, and hope female jedi knights everywhere continue to bare their midriffs in order to keep our war coffers filled to the brim. Long live the Empire. More seriously I probably sell more of these things than any other custom item I make, and they're easy to mass produce.
  7. The Sith had sith alchemy. Dark Jedi (losers of the jedi civil war) exiles fleeing there and subsquently being worshipped as gods and interbreeding with the natives is what gave them their force prowess and created what we know as the modern 'Sith', if I remember correctly.
  8. Inquisitor with the female voice actor hands down. Sociopathy has never been so funny.
  9. I can't remember the specifics (it's been a while) but it had more to do with that room and the Voss than Sel Makor, as you're free to leave at any time, but any VOSS (regardless of whether the body is being possessed or not) can't. I also seem to remember either the planet storyline or a class storyline having Sel Makor imply that it's afraid of the Emperor, or that he's even worse than Sel Makor. Pretty sure it was the Jedi Knight class one, but I'm not positive.
  10. Or it could indicate that this isn't the first time a voice has died, which is infinitely more likely. Vitiate has been capable of controlling others since before he ate the planet that gave him his godlike powers, that ability is what enabled him to force several dozen sith lords to help him carry out the ritual in the first place. As for the last part, it's stated that he doesn't really feel anything anymore except cold simmering rage as a byproduct of his immortality and, one would assume, a generally evil sociopathic monster since he was born. It makes sense he'd want the JK to think he's actually dead, because the Emperor had visions of the JK killing him off for real. Keep in mind that we're talking about an immortal here. Waiting a few decades for his the one destined to kill him to die of old age is an easy decision to make. Or there could be any other number of reasons. For all we know, the dread masters going nutso (which he knew would happen, as they're only loyal to him) was part of the master plan.
  11. I did wonder about the JK vs the Emperor, because it's clear that the Emperor is stronger. Maybe it had something to do with the Consular killing the First? Or maybe he had just gotten into that body? I'm sure there's an explanation. As for the SW, you do realize the Emperor WANTED you to kill him right? He tells you as much. He had to put up a token resistance because suicide is impossible for any Voss in that chamber.
  12. Vitiate was/is a pure-blooded male sith, so it's obvious the JK didn't kill his real body. As shown on Voss, killing the 'voice' has zero effect on the Emperor besides being a massive inconvenience until he gets another one. Your point about him being enraged at the JK is valid, until you remember that the Emperor has actually known for some time who his would be murderer is. He was genuinely trying to kill you first, and his rage was likely due to the fact that you've inconvenienced him. What he did to his home planet made his original body immortal, so it's highly plausible that he returns to it when he's not possessing something. Voices are likely just an additional protection against inevitable Sith murder plots.
  13. Nox every time. Force power trumps all, and Nox has eaten half a dozen force spirits of individuals who were strong enough to keep a choke hold on life even after they died. A more interesting fight would be Nox vs The Emperor.
  14. SPOILERS AHOY. ----------------------------- What. I've played the Sith Inquisitor, Warrior, and half of the bounty hunter so far on Empire side (and finished every Republic class storyline). The Warrior hits the Republic's war making ability hard multiple times by slaughtering their head generals and stopping secret weapon projects while (depending on choices) maintaining a spy network and removing Sith who hinder the Empire more than they help it, like Darth Cartman. He does more than the Jedi Knight and arguably the Consular in helping the war effort. The consular raises an army and spends the first half of the story with jedi gone wild, the only major blow to the empire being revealing a previously invisible spy network. Whereas the knight's storyline has him take out an incompetent (read Deceived, Angral was a moron) Darth and then put the Emperor down for a few minutes until he manages to possess another body. You're dead on about the Inquisitor though. That entire class storyline is essentially comedic sociopathy turned into an artform. To be fair, it's hardly the inquisitor's fault that other sith can't stop trying to murder her/him. Teneb Kel was also a weak coward who got his seat due to blackmailing the council and was willing to screw over the war effort just to stop the inquisitor from murdering him, good riddance. Most of the Empire's problems stem from it's ruler, who has goals that go against everyone elses and has managed to keep them secret from the Empire and Republic at large. Pretty much every major internal issue from Malgus to the Dread Masters is a result of his plans, his evilness, or his absence.
  15. This right here. What's the point of even having pvp gear if its worthless? That's right, there isn't one. MMO pvp has always been gear based first and skill second (the last mmo I played that was skilled pvp only was pre-blackthorn UO, and I don't think anyone here has the stomach for that), and at the moment it still is. You just need to get pve gear as opposed to pvp for the massive stat increases. I don't like pve, I like pvp - which is why the pvp gear appealed to me. I'd prefer to see it come back, however ONE of the the things (Bolster or pvp gear) needs to be removed, because with bolster the level 55 pvp gear is entirely worthless. I think things like this are why they probably gave pre-orders a week of early access. Hopefully it'll be fixed one way or another before the 14th.
  16. I recently downloaded TOR when it became free to play (and subscribed after a day or two of playing it). I'm wondering if there are any large differences when it comes to the different classes questing. I know the storylines will be different, but what about all the other quests you pick up in the same area while doing the storyline quests? Also the dark side choices for the sith warrior are hilarious. I can't stop laughing at how pointlessly evil I can be. too bad Vette doesn't approve.
