  1. No, that is my resoution and my drivers are up to date. Really weird because it works completely fine on my rubbish notebook thing. Just got a decent PC set up and it wont even load. Oddly enough, it did allow me to load in completely fine when the minimum download was done (starter planets) but once the game had completely installed it wouldn't even let me get as far as chatacter select
  2. So i press play, the loading screen appears for a few seconds and then it closes (processes and everything) This is the client settings: [Renderer] AllowColorRemapping = false AllowDepthOfField = false doBlobShadows = false doShadows = false DYDDrawDistancePreset = 0 EnableBloom = false FullScreen = false D3DFullScreen = false GraphicsDeviceId = 26591 GraphicsQuality = 0 Height = 1200 NativeHeight = 1200 NativeWidth = 1920 PerfTestFlags = 4702080 PlantDensity = 0 RefreshRate = 60 ShaderSet = 1 SpeedTreeDistanceScale = 0.75 TextureAnisotropy = 4 TextureQuality = 1 VerticalSyncState = true Width = 1920 CodeVersionChanged = true LastCodeVersionRun = 1 Any advice?
  3. This is a very useful engage and it feels far to late come by at its level 59 learn level. I don't know about you guys, but i feel like it should be learned at an earlier level and actually wouldn't complain if it was baseline and they either put a new ability in the 59 slot or replaced it with something that is less useful overall but still just as powerful
  4. This is for the most part my favourite stronghold and the only one I have all unlocks for, regardless there is one issue that I haven't seen brought up before. There is a smallish platform at the front of the stronghold that on default is used to place "centrepiece" decorations. My request is that they add either a grapple point or a small taxi/speeder function that allows players to travel between the main part of the stronghold and the small floating island. I've turned my platform into an outdoor garden style cantina/eating area and it's disappointing that I have to do a jump puzzle to access it
  5. I was specifically judging from the free republic/imperial pilots gear which armour rating is outmatched by level 7 white drops so while you will see an advantage for a small amount of time it won't be much. It's a dumb idea anyway because there are too many mechanics in the game that prevent it from being effective, mainly being that the base presence for so many players is so high now due to legacy that even with really bad quality gear any story companion could walk you through most of the content providing you had enough healing in your kit to mitigate any massive damage. The difficulty would be nowhere near the iron man challenge unless you did it without a companion and the games mob distribution means that that would become borderline impossible by the second planet as it is designed to be a two companion affair. I imagine there is a way to implement a player made challenge akin to this in SWTOR, I just have no idea how what rules would make it a fair challenge
  6. Firstly they don't get all 8 stories for free, they get 2 of 8 unless they wanna pay for more character slots. I play in the EU, so I don't have the luxury of playing on the harbinger. But the point still stands there are so many restrictions in place that it really puts a massive block on the game, I stopped playing for about 6 months as a free to play until I had the disposable income to play the game properly. Are you also saying that 15-30 minutes is a reasonable time gap to wait for 4 people between level 15 and 70 of any to have a group ready. The chat restrictions in groups suck. I understand it in general to reduce spam from credit sellers. But i mean seriously the ultimate knock on effect is rubbish. Imagine if the game was restriction free (apart from cosmetics) the player base would see a massive increase because they can enjoy the content. According to the server lists on here, the server population is light.. LIGHT for all regions. Changing the F2P model wouldn't reduce what we get for paying money, it would just relight a wider enjoyment in the game, there are so many unowned planets on "the progenitor". This proposed discussion isn't for my own personal gain, I just wan't life to be brought back into the game so it feels less empty, so these legendary instant queues would be for everyone and not just the harbinger. If things like queuing and server population wasn't such a problem there wouldn't be the constant request for server merges, especially in europe.
  7. Most of my frustration about the game comes from the F2P model and it's restrictions. I'm a subscriber, every month since Makeb (roughly) and will still because I love supporting the game. In total I might spend 30 pound a month on the game depending on whats in the packs. But back to the initial point, I'm not the only person who does this, nor am I the only person who would continue to do this if the F2P model had far less restrictions. The only reason I care what F2P players do is because it has a massive knock on effect, why does it take 3 years to find a flashpoint queue while levelling or even at max level chilling in veterans, because a massive amount of people are locked out, same with lower level PvP or GSF or even planetary heroics. Why can't they just say here, play all 1-50 content restriction free - if you want more pay. Rather than this current model where people have to pay for the luxury well a decent experience, particularly with an IP that appeals to younger audiences that cannot afford the same amount as us adult players. They should at least remove the restrictions that directly impact on paying players.
  8. Devaronian's would be cool, going round as a ***** sith hahahaha
  9. This is a thought I had inspired by the "iron man challenge" in WoW. The point of this challenge was to make the levelling process more difficult. My idea to transfer it to the game is as follows. Only allowed to wear gear that has no stats grey or white quality, or if you want to make it really hard wear unmodded orange gear. companions must be on the the DPS spec. Not allowed to make use of any experience increasing items or any events that increase exp (x2 exp ect) All advanced classes allowed using heroic moment will be considered cheating. Class buffs are allowed. Mounts will only be usable from default learning points disregarding legacy perks. Quick travel will not be allowed Dying will mean you have to start again. Out of combat healing abilities will be allowed No guilds/groups. This is just for fun or anyone who wants an extra kick out of levelling, I have no idea how viable it is in SWTOR.
  10. Tips - don't use the globes for healing they do decent damage for her. Want an easy ride, keep Valkorians dad in the holocron, he becomes a temp companion for the fight. I'm not 100% sure but I think the non-story companions might work (like the ones from cartel market ones)
  11. We are getting another planet, story advancement, a raid boss called "twin sisters" and a new flash point
  12. As I see it, there is no reason for them to discount companions entirely. A good comparison is Vette vs Kaliyo. Vette played a huge role in Iokath and the battle for Odessen. However, Kaliyo fell short and had no interactions in the story (i like to imagine her off causing trouble here and there. They did, on the other hand, add in romance scenes for all the romanceable companions before we fought Vaylin. In terms of Elara and Quinn, they are good characters to make you choose between, they are personality similar but ideologically opposite. Elara will never rejoin the Empire and Quinn would never defect. I would like to see how they adapt the story for companions that are killed. The game has to account for a mix of players and player choices. There are players that have Arcaan and Senya and those who don't, same with Koth, Vette and Torian. They will have to write for a player with each and every scenario and mix of companions or we will run the risk of Lana and Theron being the only relevant story companions. I trust that Bioware will do justice to the romanceable companions and if they don't the player base will have a melt down. To be honest my hunter still isn't over losing Mako
  13. I think this has probably been asked for a million times but, I cannot see a reason why weapons are not part of it. I can see the technical difficulties with certain classes being able to equip multiple weapons types. Commando/shadow/sniper/assassin for example but with the changes to the create a character could it be really hard to limit those to their weapon classes? The only issue I can see besides this is a conflict between Vibroblades and saber staff weapons. I would like this because I like to RP and if I want to RP as an apprentice or padawan I would like to be able to switch to the right outfit without having to equip a training blade. Honestly, I'd be satisfied with a reason why it cannot be implemented, then at least then it won't be something on my mind.
  14. One thing that bewilders me is why weapons can't be applied in the appearance designer. From an RP standpoint, it'd be quite cool to be able to have the ability to have weapons tied to an outfit, and it also means the weapon appearance you have on, doesn't have to be your "viable" weapon. It is also annoying when a cool looking weapon comes out on CC or even as a vendor item/drop and you have to pull out all your mods and color crystals just to be able to OP with a vanity item. I feel this is a feature that is just left as it is as an arbitrary credit sink, and i honestly wouldn't care if it cost more to slot a weapon in the appearance designer, i honestly just wanna be able to kill thinks with my different guns depending on mood/rp environment
