I have not played since 2012, However the last time I played there were alternative ways to get end-game commendations besides doing OPs...a few things I remember are Hard mode FPs would give end-game commendations/gear sometimes, world events , dailies and things of this nature....is this still the case or is doing OPs the only way to get end-game gear now?

TY! Well, I am looking for a more mercenary/rebel or crime syndicate themed RP guild honestly on the Republic side. I was really hoping to find a guild instead of creating my own since I know it takes a lot of work to run a guild. Maybe a guild focused more towards RP scenarios, PVP and GSF but RP is definitly a requirement for me.

Are there any RP guilds that actually regularly RP? If so please let me know.

It truely does take someone with good awareness to be just an "OK" healer....but ALL of the GOOD healers are very aware of their surroundings and what is going on. I truely feel healers are probably the most under appreciated role in WZ.

When I heal i keep it simple... Make sure I am Healing and keeping the grou alive to the best of my ability while also staying semi out of the way so i do not get focused as often(I find this gives us a general and easy to understand advantage) I also try to CC when possible...Recognizing that not only heals but "utility" is also a healers job, it makes the dps have a much easier time and allows your guard to protect you alot easier.

In WZ what do you expect from your healer as far as habits,performance and what they should do overall to help you and your team?

Currently LF a PvP focused guild, I was in a PvE guild which i really liked before my account got compromised but now that I have my account back I decided to focus more on PvP. Currently I am a lvl 20 Sage, I have rolled heals so thats what my focus is, WZ healing. I wan't a mature, fun guild that plans on being one of the best if not the best in PvP. I would like the guild to have a website, some type of voice chat and dedicated leaders. Ty for your responses.

So I have been told different things as far as what the bet set up is for PvP healing. One person said go full war hero/elite war hero...another said do 2 tionese+the rest war hero....does anyone know for sure which works the best for healing in WZ?

Most RPers walk when RPing and if they are in a group...guarantee that is what they are doing. The RP servers around here are generally pretty serious about their RP and get very into it. They will usually type in group or OP chat to avoid the outside world or just /say and I can almost 99.9% guarantee that is what you are seeing...especially on starter planets.

Are the War Hero set bonus attached to the pieces or the armor mods in the pieces?

eh...there is a F2P option yes...but don't think for one second subs have not tripled since f2p launch...matter of fact they did an article recently about the numbers and how the game has done a complete 180. I believe they even mentioned subs tripling and overall pop was nearing x10 what it was and they are contemplating adding 2 new PvE american servers because of the crazy pop Harbinger gets at times. I am almost positive i got this in a newsletter via email recently along with some ROTHC info.

Whats the best lvl to start PvPing?

Been looking at some PvP guides on Sorcs and something makes no sense to me really.... On most sorc guides I see people max out Lucidity in the corruption tree...why? Is the pushback from heals that bad? Maybe an experienced PvPer can answer this for me plz

ok thank you everyone for all the replies this has been very informative and helpful so far but I do have another more complicated question. I used to play WoW and I was decent at PvP I guess...I was generally ranked in the top 10 in 2 vs 2 arena in our group....I usually played classes with alot of CC(for those who do not understand the term it means control effects or crowd control...ie stuns,sleeps,paralyze,slow ect...and allows you to control the pace of fights)...so I generally played a Frost mage or a Rogue.....so I am wondering which class has the most CC effects/skills? This is my last question for now...sorry I asked so many.

dont you get commendations even if you lose though so you will gear eventually? Also whats the difference between a smuggler and a Operative if you go concealment?

What about concealment ops are they any good in pvp here?

How is PvP in this game? Have not tried it yet because I heard it was bad. Also how hard is gearing up in PvP?
