I can't seem to equip equip either type of weapon on her. Tried both quest rewards I kept in my cargo hold and a vibro blade bought on Korriban, all said she doesn't have the necessary skill to equip them.

Same problem here, can't log in. Keep getting "The login service is currently unavailable. Please visit out forums for the latest updates on the status of this service." Except there's no update on the forums, nor a tweet about the status of the login service.

In what culture do you live that saying: "I intend to do X' is not a promise?

To quote a certain bank employee from South Park, Colorado: "Aaaand it's gone..." It's sad to see this is still such an issue that they cannot even give a simpel yes or no answer.
