  1. The good news: I now have so many different strongholds on the same planets it's almost tempting to run around each of them in just my underwear. The bad news: My characters might just as well be wandering around ion their underwear because the legacy banks was where they stored all their good clothes... and some cartel stuff... and some other useful stuff... It's like going to sleep in a big villa, only to wake up in a crack-den while two drugged-up hobo's are fighting over which one gets to take the only shoe that you have left. And it's not one of those fun hobo fights, either.
  2. Breaking news from the SWTOR Twitter account 24 seconds ago: "All #SWTOR servers are now live! Thank you everyone for your patience today." YES!
  3. So, uhm... I'm going out on a limb here; imagine the server is talking about how it's blowing up in a huge ka-blammo type blast if anyone tries to rewire it... one guy rewires it, the server snickers and tells him how it's rewired itself to prevent such tampering... and at some point Vette just pops out of it? ... Actually, I'd count that as a win, if that were the case, because how could one not count a Vette prank as a win. Or maybe Kaliyo couldn't find a droid but ended up stumbling into the server room, after a bit too much hard drinking... ... Wait, it's that Aric guy right? Still upset that I ended up in charge of Havoc squad? So now he's screwing up my game time? That's it, bromantic feelings or not, enjoy spending the rest of your military carreer digging latrines for Hutts, Jorgan...
  4. Erm... I've seen longer outages, across several games, over the years. So I guess maybe your gaming history isn't that long, or not covering as many games, or you've recently run a gaming history cleaner program But all joking aside, and despite that there have been plenty of bigger outages between SWTOR and other games over the years, generally I agree on principle that the companies behind the games should invest in something better than the type of servers that one might be able to dumpster-dive for in an alley behind walmart. There are some companies which do it right, but let's face it, if a company thinks they can squeeze an extra buck of bottom-line out of using tin cans and strings instead of something that actually connects to the internet, then they'll be running with the tin cans - and often blame it on the customers' PC's that their product isn't functioning properly.
  5. Been at this quest for a long, long time now. Level 55 dps assassin, most attempts with either Talos or Treek as healer-comps, but have tried other companions as well. First bundle of attempts I missed out on hitting the big guy every now and then, just ran around like mad dodging red circles/killing smaller mobs - and blammo, at some point, three or four red circles all locking into an area around me that even force speed didn't get me out of. After that, a bundsle of times where inbetween I did hit the big guy, even found his blindspot, so to say, but.... after a while, he just resets health to full again and whenever that reset hits, I'd get pummeled like a uhm.... freelance... eh... professional lady at a 1970's... uh... professional interest management person convention. Watched a few tips on Youtube and other sources, tried to do whatever I saw in those vids for the next bundle of attempts, but.... well, I think the damned droid told me to "wear something pretty next time", which brings us to me posting this right here. Yeah, I've kinda had it with that damned droid... if I had the funds to pay the real-world mob to put a hit on that b!!ch in-game and permanently take him out of commission, I would. It also doesn't help that the few times (well, 4 times in all) where I asked if someone would team up for it, the answers ranged from "lol noob" to "gimme 5 million credits and I might hink about it". I wanted to complete this piece of plot, even after a bunch of fails, but right now, I think I'm not going back to that damned mission.
  6. Two things... 1. Yup, the GTN listings for cartel crystals can really go insanely high... but every now and then someone either forgets to add a 0 or doesn't bother comparing prices for what they're about to sell and post it cheap - and sometimes you might snag a real cheapie because someone intentionally posts them at a low price. And on some servers I've seen people give away cartel stuff in bulk for free - so also keep an eye on general chat when you're on the fleet. 2. This, too - and the unlock tends to be account-wide, so unlocking something in collections that you've bought grants that item even across servers to any legacy you have.
  7. The wingmaw... on different servers I have gotten this codex entry on different Jedi's (both knight and consular) by running past or butchering one of the wingmaws near the datacron in Kaleth, but at the same time I've had several other Jedi's who ran by/butchered those same wingmaws and didn't get the codex entry. Not sure what could be the logical explanation for such seemingly random rewarding/not rewarding of codex entries, and I gave up trying to figure it out weeks ago. The terentatek, however, has remained a big mysterie to me as well. The creature that the Jedi Knight encounters after making the lightsaber is the Forge Guardian, something that looks a bit like swamp-thing's cousin with a big touch of some of those "it came from the bottom of the lake"-type movie-monsters. And the dark beast (as some consular player described it today) which the consular has to beat on their way to making their lightsaber didn't seem to be the terentatek in question either; I've knocked that one down on several consulars of mine, and never got any codex entry from it... and the "dark beast" description might actually be it's proper in-game name, I can't remember for sure.
