  1. From what I've been able to tell, Ignore list is stored server side, and no copy is made on client side available for editing.
  2. So, I was reading on a guild website on a guild on Ebon Hawk that I'd come across, and I found this in their forums. It was posted literally just a little while back, and I tested it. And it seems to work as they advertised. I"ll include the original link, and then copy the instructions below. Original Post Now, here's the instructions. Unify Friends Lists Across All Characters Note: While this adds friends quite easily, it does have a few drawbacks. First, for a friend to add properly from another character, there must be a comment about the name. Second, if removing a friend from FL by deleting it from the file, it will remove the comment from the friend in game. So, use your comments. If someone's blank after using this, you know it's someone you wanna get rid of. Or, you can do like I do, and not bother pruning friend's lists until you actually think about it on an individual toon. From what I can tell, your friend's list is stored server side, and your comments are stored client side. But the client side will update the server side on login. But only in so far as adding. It can't remove. That must be server side. Step One: Ensure you have one character with all desired friends and associated comments, as you want them. Step Two: Log out of SWTOR and close the game. Step Three: Navigate to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings Step Four: Make a backup of the settings folder. Just in case. Step Five: Open the file of the character you made as your template. The file is labeled in similar fashion to this. Please know, your file's pretense numbers and letters may not match mine. The last part is what's important. Example: he2006_Erynyia_LocalSocialSettings Step Six: Copy the entire contents of your template file and paste to each other file that has a character name followed by LocalSocialSettings. Ensure you overwrite the existing data, if you're certain of your template. Otherwise, open each character's social settings, build a list in an empty word document, following the proper syntax, and paste to each social settings file. Step Seven: Ensure you save each file on close. And that's it, you're done.
  3. Okay, this running thread is going to be updated regularly with my desires/ideas/hopes and dreams concerning Galactic Strongholds. Before I get into anything, I want to preface everything I'm listing by explaining that I'm a roleplayer, and thus, everything I want, is centered around roleplay potential. Ideal Future Strongholds #1: Symmetrical Space Station. Basically, a smaller version of Vaiken Spacedock, complete with the different levels and everything, that can be completely customized. I'd also like if you could choose to move it, like you can move flagships, so it orbits a specific planet, or it sits out in empty space. Though, if this were implemented, I'd want the ability to choose where the control panel sat. #2: Symmetrical Korriban Tomb. This is important to me for roleplay reasons. I want to be able to build a tomb for my great dark lord, where he can rest with those who came before him, and endure in spirit form to pass along his wisdom. #3: Personal Flagship Something the size of the Black Talon, with a nice symmetrical layout, that can be completely customized, moved around, and used as a social hub. Ideal Stronghold Functionality #1: Controllable Doors This one is very important to me. I want the ability to open and close doors at will, to lock them, and even to seal them with bulkheads as a security measure. For Yavin, this is crucial. As I want to be able to "seal" my temple. That is close all those really awesome stone doors and lock them behind me. Yavin doesn't really need the bulkheads though. For Dromund Kaas, it's also important. I have a very dangerous laboratory set up in the garage. And I'd love to be able to lock the door, and then drop a bulkhead to ensure nothing dangerous got out. #2: Unlimited Keys On Keyring This is self explaining. #3: "Event" Boards This is an idea I had recently. Basically, you pay a small amount of credits to reserve a slot on the Event Board, and you put in the details of your event, the time, the name, and what it entails, and people can autohop to your SH, and thus the event, from the Board. Some uses for Event Boards include, RP Parties, RP Cantinas, RP Nightclubs, Small Scale PVP Tournaments, Scheduled Recruitment Boosters, the list goes on. #4: Death Field Functionality The ability to turn one room in your SH into an open world PVP area. Toggle on/off at will obviously. Decoration Desires #1: Poseable Statues Of Me This is one that a lot of people want. I think that they should cost a combination of credits, and universal prefabs. You have to be on the toon that you want a statue of. Then, you choose the size you want, small-medium-large-centerpiece, and then you choose the pose you want. Lastly, you choose the material, gold-silver-bronzium-duracrete. #2: Shield Generator Basically a centerpiece deco that projects a shield skyward, to emulate a shield around a base.
  4. I'd like to add my two cents in, even though this topic is pretty much finished being thrown around. I'm a GM of a hardcore RP guild. And part of our backstory revolves around Rakata. So, I wanted to buy a bunch of Rakata guard statues, and have them populate our guild ship to give a nice "you are being oppressed by your betters" vibe. This is not possible because of BOP. I don't have a problem farming up Rakata Herald Statues, but, I tried that approach already. I put them down in a line, and they don't have the same effect as the swordsmen.
  5. I mean no offense, but when you say things like that, it really makes you sound like a stuck up and very snobbish elitist. My response, and support for this idea, is motivated purely by the fact that I and all of my friends are Role Players. And given how unfriendly the game already is to Role Players, IE: some of the best RP spots in game are instanced so you can't get into them. I really would like to see some sort of bone thrown our way. PVE players, they got a bone thrown their way with Ops added to group finder. PVP players, they got their way when hybrids were removed, plus, upcoming new WZ. RP players, nothing. Not one thing.
  6. Perhaps we should have a slight modification to the proposed idea. Something that keeps the balance to a degree, but permits decos to be cloned for personal SHs. For every deco that you have unlocked, you can clone it in one of two ways. Clone to guild, costs credits. Clone to self, costs one MK-3 Universal Prefab. This is just a suggestion to try and keep both sides happy. And to make myself happy as well. As a crafter, I love anything that makes prefabs have some more value.
  7. Maybe I'm looking at this too rationally. If I only knew things about someone, that they allowed me to know, but they kept the majority of the truth about themselves secret, I'd be willing to consider the fact that others who come along from outside my personal fold might know things I don't. And I wouldn't be so quick to tell them they were wrong simply because someone was nice to me, even though I didn't know half of what he was about.
  8. Senya doesn't go fully either way. I've fully explored every convo option with her and there's at least one path that will lead to her admitting she didn't know the man half as well as she wished she had, and didn't really have any idea what he might have been capable of. So she doesn't flat out say that she disbelieves you, but neither does she offer him a gold ticket pass simply because he was "nice to Zakuul." Koth on the other hand, doesn't ever take into consideration the fact that he didn't really know Valkorian. And instead blindly sings his praise. That's the part that all of my toons have issue with. An inherited trait in my legacy family is a hatred of sycophants. And that's what Koth is. A blind sycophant, unwilling to admit he barely knows anything about what he's jabbering about, and that the possibility exists that what we say is true.
  9. My point wasn't OOC that I disliked the character. Though, I admit that is how my original post read. My point was the lack of an option to slaughter him. OOC, I'm annoyed because there is no option that my characters would take. The majority of my characters have zero tolerance for people like Koth. And OOC I'm upset that the option doesn't exist and I have to thus, force my toons to follow a path that they wouldn't follow of their own volition.
  10. The quote that's the source of my rage is listed below in spoiler tags. Rant Engage: By Koth's logic, if I went and murdered orphans, widows, puppies, and pregnant women, as long as I was good to Zakuul, I'm a great man who can do no wrong. What was going through your mind Bioware? Why is this companion unkillable? All of my characters, even those who are darker than imagining, can't accept this. When this convo happened, every single toon I have wanted to be like "You will DIE. Now." And then force choke/lightsaber stab/blaster bolt to the head/lightning to the heart. Seriously, we're stuck with a companion who is very obviously modeled after the Nazi sympathizers? If we don't get the option to kill Koth in the next chapter, I'm going to be sooooo let down. Furthermore, why can't Koth accept the cruel calculus of war? To stop there is no cost too great. If I have to snuff out every life on Zakuul, to put an end to that man, then so be it.
  11. As sad as it is, I highly doubt we'll get Korriban or Tython at this point. What I'd like to see, more than anything, is a space station type stronghold, at least as big as Yavin. I feel like it would be a wonderful grind. With multiple decks and set up similar to Vaiken Spacedock. I would absolutely adore this.
