  1. I suppose it's all about what you get from the gathering skill. Presumably, the higher skill level you reach, the better (and rarer) the items you can get from the Crew Skill in question become. Lockboxes may all be well and good but getting the other items and trying to make some money from them on the GTN might be suitable. It also depends a lot on which crafting skill matches with which gathering skill. It's fair to say that Artifice might be the most common crafting skill, especially with the crystals, in terms of what goes around on the GTN, so investing in a gathering skill which supplies the demand of the less popular crafting skills might be the key to making a few more credits. If you were to put a stack of crafting crystals gathered from Treasure Hunting on the GTN to supply 'Artificiates', you are probably going to make considerably less money than if you were to put a stack of Artifact quality Medical Grade Supplies for the 'Biochemists', simply because the supply is lower and the demand is higher on the latter. Also, you could consider avoiding crafting skills entirely, and focus on all gathering skills, as I have a tried on one of my characters. It certainly pays off (literally), and you can end up making a good amount of money by undercutting the GTN listings with a large selection of gathered supplies.
  2. Sorry if this has already been posted. I was doing the Maelstrom Prison Flashpoint the other day on my Smuggler to find that after killing one of the Terentateks, I received a Codex entry for 'Teretatek', I'm not sure if this counts for Tython or not (like picking up Wingmaw on Balmorra counts for both Balmorra and Tython), but I thought I better post it here just in case.
  3. I could not agree with you more, I really don't like the Cartel market and am astounded by the ridiculously high prices they put on things like legacy perks, etc and can't believe the lack of new content subscribers get as opposed to Cartel Items, most of which are almost identical to an already existent item just with some flashing lights put on them.
  4. I can totally understand your concern with this whole thing and think you have some pretty good suggestions to go with it. Personally, I'm pretty much against the Cartel Market in general, it's gone too far and is taking the focus off of items you can earn in game instead just focusing on milking your money. But it's obviously going to stay (suggesting otherwise would be ridiculous, of course) and having an auction feature would be inherently unfair, some of the best possible items you can get on the Cartel Market would essentially be reserved only for those who have the money to spend on Cartel Coins in an instant. As a subscriber myself, my Cartel Coins go on buying certain perks to get the best out of the game or buying items back through collections so I don't have to pay for them again and again, I simply can't afford to pay for these over-priced sets of empty gear, let alone real time auctions against thousands of other players (most of whom will have much more money than I).
  5. I wouldn't really like to see that in-game, but if it were to come, expect a hefty price for it in the Cartel market.
  6. Great new-oh wait, the Cartel Market? I assumed my subscription was going to be enough, evidently not. Seriously? I know that this Cartel stuff will never leave the game (how ridiculous would that be?) but come on, really? Why can you not add gear like this that the general player base will love without reaching into our pockets? Is it so hard to get some good gear like this by playing the game rather than spending more money to pay for it? Maybe, even just once, we could experience this pleasure of getting a nice set of gear after earning it rather than people with more money getting the best looking sets..
  7. I think that would be alright, it'd give all the keen Star Wars fans (like myself) a nice reminder of KOTOR; I wouldn't mind seeing that in-game.
  8. I agree, thanks for your input - we need this to be noticed!
  9. As mentioned in the first post, /salute does this action for IMPERIAL characters only, though an actual salute only applies to Republic characters. /attention should have the stand-up-straight action for all characters, and /salute should have the traditional salute for everyone as well. And if /attention were added it would have to remain there until the character moves, and /salute could quite possibly have the same effect, though the character should not have to move to stop it, but type it in again perhaps, because when one stands to attention and salutes, they shouldn't be moving their whole bodies.
  10. Some good points, indeed! Though the first point about the conversation options is asking for a bit too much. Essentially what you're saying is you want the developers to go back through every bit of dialogue in the game and either: A) Retype the conversation options for what is actually said, or B) Re-voice the entire game so it's accurate to the options. It's just not really possible, it would take a pretty big economic toll if re-voicing was needed, and would take time, lots of time; there is a lot of dialogue in this game. Your other points are great though, the looting is pretty bad when new players are hitting 'Need' on everything they can get, even when they can't use that item which can get frustrating, having a new loot system as you suggested would be a good idea! Your point about new classes would be okay too, though I cannot see them putting new classes in any time soon (and we would probably see a cost coming our way for it). Seeing Imperial Trooper and SIS Agent would be a really nice touch though, it'd be interesting how they'd do it/what the stories would be.
  11. Well I suppose you're right, which is a real shame, but you are right. But thanks for the support! It would make a good screenshot emote.
  12. Well... I think 1000CCs is a bit over the top, and frankly it should made available for everybody - Free. But thanks for your feedback!
  13. Good point, but you lose the realism when you just use /e. Of course the more complex custom emotes can be used as such, but for something as simple as an action that already exists it would be nice to have it.
  14. Glad you like the idea! Would love to see this.
  15. All hail! You have given the SWTOR community hope!
