  1. No solution yet, but tech support have made a couple of suggestions, will try them thanks bud
  2. Good shout. Why these things have two cards I don't know. It seams to be in Nvidia settings.
  3. Thanks everyone, unless my memory is fading, I played on the same processor last year and it was a lot better. Even on medium settings it isn't great. I would have thought if LotRO can update to 64bit and better DX, EA could and it is a slightly newer game. For reference this is my processor Intel® Core i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz
  4. Hello, Not been on for ages, but wondering what’s happening with the frame rate? My gaming laptop has a great processor and an RTX3080 but I am getting much lower frame rates than on my older laptop. For context I can get around 100fps on LOTRO on max settings but only 30 ish here on medium settings. PJ
  5. Hello, I finished all my quests on coruscant and moved to anther planet to do other quests, I went back to coruscant but now can't work out how to get back to the second planet, how do I do this please? I feel such a noobie :s PJ
  6. QFT. Totally agree with you regarding the voice overs. As much as I love LotR:O I get so fed up when I hand a quest and the NPC says the same 'how can I help you' as if you had sold him trash or handed in a quest. I know this game is not perfect but no game is just in the same way that there is no one mobile phone that has it all. It seems the law (or should that be lore) that MMO forums have so much negativity. I am sure they did their best to get rid of all the bugs but I am equally sure that some of the bugs are impossible to find unless it is used by thousands of users. Finally don't get me started on people who play 18 hours a day then are shocked when they run out of content. I. don't wish to offend someone but I don't understand why people say game x should be the same as game y. If that was the case the cry would be "OMG they copied game x can't they think for themselves". LotR:O has the same call for better PVP but that isn't what they were created for, there is plenty of other MMO's that cater for PVP. I love the graphics on this game, the fact my two year old rig can have the graphics up to their max and still get 80FPS. *raises a glass to the devs*.
  7. Is 30-40 FPS that bad though? I thought the human eye can't tell much above that. Mine goes from 30-60 FPS and it looks as smooth as anything. PJ
  8. Coming from LOTRO I see the same sort of discussion about PVP on their forums too. In their case the game was never meant to be PVP and it was only added at the last minute to please players who like it. Can I ask, was this game marketed as PVP or PVE centric? If it was PVP then the OP should be looked at, if it wasn't then I honestly believe it should be left as it is. It really gets on my goat that people are trying to change the game to suit their style (referring to LOTRO). If I like spaceships I can't expect LOTRO to accommodate me I go to a game that is space based. Same with PVP there are games out there as people have said. PJ
  9. With LotRO they gave extra character slots two ways. One with the first expansion and two you can get it with Turbine Points when it went free to play. Either would be good for me please devs :-) PJ
  10. Thanken You :-) PJ PS what do people think about having a feature where when you complete a quest you have the chance ofposting that so social networks with a photo with one clck? Could be a great way of advertising the game. Similar to get glue where you can post from their app what you are reading or watching.
  11. I will do. As a causal player I do tend to have a more positive experience even now in LotRO five years on. Not that I am saying that playing hours on end is a bd thing for others but it would be for me. I became a chat addict ages ago and it cost my marriage and as I am off sick long term I could easily play a lot. Anyway I digress. It sounds like the only difference between the taxi horse on LotRO and this game is that in LotRO you can actually walk the entire route if you wanted to. Will be interesting to see if they do use those areas in the future. May the forks be with you PJ
  12. I know what you mean about forums. Same with LotRO, all the people who adore the game are mostly in game. I can't pay on my iPad so when I can't sleep I read. Can't be bothered to go downstairs and play!
  13. Thanks people, this is a great community. Please don't worry too much about F2P, people had thE same concerns on LotRO and it is teaming with new people and most if not all are fun. Yes I am sure the store will sell items that help people win but for the casual gamer like me they are a God send and after all not compulsory :-) PJ
