  1. I have Shadow of Revan purchased, and I have enough cash. My skills are maxed out to 450 and I have all the available skills trained from the basic artifice trainer on the fleet. Yet when I go to click to buy Expert Artifice/Treasure Hunter/Archaeology, nothing happens. It stays on the "trainable" skills window no matter how many times I left or right or double click it. Am I missing something?
  2. I've posted this in bug reports but I wanted to see if any players could help me out:

I am sure this can't be happening to everyone or this would be all over the forums. Basically, large parts of the map (floor/walls) are invisible and not loading. I am falling through the floor and dying in the Cantina, the spaceport, etc. When I load after dying, sometimes I can't even move. I'll run two steps and rubber band back, or jump and something invisible is blocking me.

This is the only world I have trouble with. All others are seamless, with no bugs that I've seen (other than textures not loading on somethings, but at least they exist for me).

Also the preferences/social windows will not load. Upon clicking or hitting the hot key for them, the game freezes for 30 seconds or so then goes again like I didn't push anything. Again, only on Nar Shaddaa.

Things I've done: run launcher diag, run fix launcher, updated my drivers, and restarted several times. No change. I'd just like to play on Nar Shaddaa again!

    Thanks!

  4. If you are playing on an RP server then a lot of times names that aren't something you expect to see in the star wars setting are reported. I myself have reported some of the more ridiculous ones on the RP server I'm on, even if I don't find them offensive.
  5. You mentioned that this thread is simply your opinion, but the title of the thread, is not one, 'stating an opinion'.

Faux News does this all the time. They report opinion and spin pieces, as if they're fact. The contents of your thread were your opinions, but your title implies that the game is not just a failure for you, but for all.

On a funny note, you reminded me of a (paraphrased) WIll Ferrell quote:

"With all due respect, you're a complete idiot."

'What? I said, 'with all due respect'"

Fox is the only place I get my news. They lean conservative in their opinion based commentary, yes, but don't report it as fact. Please let's not bring politics/media into this because this will turn into a liberal/conservative argument very quick.

  6. I'd also like to see more classes in the game.

I know that this is a huge load of work for Bioware ... but at some point they have to start thinking about or doing it, otherwise it will never happen. Here are my ideas for new classes, even for new faction:

    NEW FACTION: HUTT CARTELL

    1. Debt Collector

    non force, melee guy

heavy armor, melee weapons, like vibro weapons

Sub Class: Tank/DD or DD only

    2. Bounty hunter

for sure, they also work for the hutts

    same class as imperial one

    3. Gunner

Medium armor, blaster rifle or double pistols.

(relatively identical to smuggler/agent, but only relatively)

    Subclasses: Heal/DD or DD only

    4. Negotiator

well, all good deals with the Hutts have them involved :)

non force, combo between melee and range

light armor, stealth, knife and pistol.

You may chose a skilltree for melee (using knife mostly or one for range/using pistol mostly if you go for DD)

sub classes: DD/Heal or DD only

Hope you like my ideas :)

EDIT says: Well, I would definitely roll a charakter for the Hutt cartell. YEAH!

Great ideas. I would recommend naming the "debt collector" something like "Hutt Enforcer" though, but that's just my take.

  7. The only game I have ever seen anything like them in it is James Bond SP-RPGs. I consider it quite innovative for an MMO. If you don't, I guess we disagree.

I believe in WoW you can make some with an engineering profession. So SWTOR isn't exactly innovative with the item itself. They do make a damn good story, I'm not debating that.

  8. I am currently taking advantage of the WoW trial account. What I can't stand is the slow running because I'm used to sprinting in SWTOR and a speeder at level 10. I'll push through to level 20 (which is the max for the trial) and craft a bit and get a basic mount and see what I think. Just a bit burnt out on SWTOR at the moment.

Different games, each has their own strengths.

  9. It was a pretty good listen.

I have noticed that they have become more critical of the game over time. This didn't seem like harsh criticism, however. It actually seems like a pretty measured reaction, aside from the initial comment.

It also drives home the idea that this probably should not have been framed as the "subscriber appreciation" item. Considering what was going on at the time it was probably poor timing.

I think if this came 6 weeks ago it would have been more positively received.

This really about sums it up for me. They said they would have a sub appreciation gift and hyped it to us subs, and then gave us 500 cc. I mean, it was great of them to do that but I think if they just initially said "Subscribers will receive a gift of 500 Cartel Coins in appreciation for maintaining their subscriptions" that it would have been better received.

I think basically they hyped it up too much for what they were actually going to hand out.

  10. If gear check isn't doable, I would at least make the armor rating requirement easily visible. Right now you have to hover over the head of the flashpoint list, and read a small wall of text to find out what the armor rating is. Most people just starting have no idea this is even there. If they put in 55 Hard Mode Flashpoint (Armor Rating: xxx) right at the top, it might help out some.
  11. its not game breaking, but it would be soooo convenient to have some sort of tab where we could save an armor set. so we can just click once and all our armor changes depending on what we want to do,(pvp, pve etc.) also it would be great to get one click respeccing as well, possibly even have the armor set and spec all in the same option. i pvp and pve a lot. im constantly respeccing and switching armor sets.

  12. Hi,

I don't know whether this is a Cathar issue or a general one. When I send my companion on a crafting mission and I dismount my Speeder or Turbo Boots, the companion is immediately re-summoned to me, stopping what he/she is doing. This is a recent issue I think as it hasn't happened before.

Your time with this issue is greatly appreciated:ph_thank_you:

Ok just looked, it's not just a Cathar issue ;)

This has happened to me both on my Inquisitor and Operative, both human.

  13. Right now, for quests you are underleveled for, they show up as gray over the NPC's head. I'd like an indicator if I'm so overleveled for a quest that it is gray for me. This would be especially useful for double experience weekends, so I know what ones I can miss and what ones will help me. I don't enjoy grabbing all the quests in an area and finding maybe 2-3 I can do that would benefit me while leveling. Perhaps a green icon, if gray is already in use?

    Just a thought.

  14. Where do you find the gear requirements for ops and hard-mode FPs?

Go to queue for a flashpoint or hardmode. Hover your mouse over the list of hard mode flashpoints (or the list you are interested in) and it should pop up and give you a description.

And how can you tell whether someone has the appropriate gear? Does adaptable gear with high-end mods qualify, or does it have to be artifact gear?

You can tell when you right click their portrait and click "inspect player." This brings up their character screen. The mods quality so long as the item says "Item rating: 126" or whatever the rating for what you are trying to do is.

  15.

its a shame it is open to abuse by people who want to kick cause someone because they dont not match there exacting standards,

Not player standards. Game standards. That's why it says "Item Rating: 126" for hard mode level 50 flashpoints.
