  1. This has been the case since the Saberstaff has been in existence (first release of the Gree event) it still holsters too low, which in turn makes it too long/too large to look "proper" vs the other dual blade sabers. This problem seems to appear a lot to newly released saberstaves, while others have been fixed/never happened, this one still is... weird
  2. for a whiner like you about a measly 10$, and I don't know you, no I won't... but if you're someone I've been playing with for a while, on my guild, and just cannot somehow fork out an extra 10$ for whatever VALID reason but STILL interested, I'll be glad to pay the 10$... it's cheaper than the new Jedi/Darth set released today...
  3. how is 1 planet not enough? and 1 planet that's 5 levels worth of content? let me remind you that Voss + Corellia BOTH added were for lvl 45-50, and do you have any idea how LARGE those 2 planets are? 1 planet with 5 levels worth of content is MASSIVE in scope, especially POST-50 experience wise (or they can boost the exp gain from each quest by a big multiplier) and with a raise in level cap, logically means adding in new equipments, TONS of quests, and possibly more end-game flashpoints/ops and this is "Chapter 4", take it how you will but a "chapter" expansion cannot be a small add-in like Section-X or Ilum was... we still don't know yet, how "different" it will be between each class but it'll DEFINITELY be having a good story to last you a while
  4. Marksman spec, I don't have Cull...
  5. how does the Cartel Rifle sound like though? I like the Athiss Rifle sound, but X-52's a bit too PewPew-ey
  6. I'm not sure which is which... as I only tried 2, but seeing the description, it was Cha Rabba(sp?) that I managed to beat... although after 5 tries... then I went after the space station assault one (again, don't know the name) and failed twice... then gave up for the night because it was late... if Cha Rabba, really was the hardest (which I've managed to complete on my own) I think the rest, I can persevere to pass them all... I'll see in the coming days... it's the one from the Ilum zone on the right side right?
  7. oh I see! but it's still weird because I haven't really "gotten" him yet... (and I only started flying after I met him though...)
  8. I have a lvl 50 sniper and I fly a lot for the space missions, especially now that I'm grinding fleet comms in preparation for 1.6 however, when I flew on my Assassin (female) I noticed that there's sometimes a very deep male voice "commenting" as I go through the missions... sounds a bit like the male bounty hunter sound... then goes back to the female inquisitor voice here and there... is this intended? or is a glitch? am I the only one getting this!? it's a bit weird and... not really game breaking but it really IRKS me!
  9. or, to have the same colour as the crystal...
  10. yep... in the beginning, I thought it was pretty cool that I can weild it as a 1-handed saber (on my Assassin) kind of like how Darth Maul got introduced in Episode 1, until the second blade popped out *and everyone gasped!!!* then it gets annoying for disappearing after a certain attack or "destroying a stash" of something... it's like the sniper rifle being held with 1-hand glitch after doing things...
  11. I'll give that a try, thanks! I've noticed SOMETIMES it works, but a LOT of times it doesn't...
  12. a bit of nudge towards Mass Effect designs wouldn't be too bad neither (for troopers and agents at least) ESPECIALLY THE WEAPONS!!! MANY of the weapons are just HORRID... only the VERY FEW are actually decent looking... but if you look at the Mass Effect arsenal... totally gorgeous!
  13. it's always better to get them before getting to lvl 50 as well... I actually liked a bit of PvP here and there, but I didn't do enough to buy 2 pieces (missed a few for a rifle) so I had to do a few at lvl 50 with my recruit stuff... but boy was it unpleasant... most people have War Hero or Battlemaster sets, so I couldn't do anything against them, and I died too fast to be of any help whatsoever... I just couldn't get kills... after I got my rifle (1 comm left now) I gave up entirely on PvP... no fun at all
  14. The general comment from my guild is that Imps are ******es, and Pubs are generally MUCH nicer... The question is if it's true or not, I can't tell... There are ALWAYS jerks on each side, but from some of my guild members, it seems they get thrown into a party with jerks more often than not... but that is also we're primarily Imperial and we group more on the Imp side... but on a psychological standpoint, Republic seems to be the "go-to" faction for those who are just starting, so more new players, who are willing to stick around other new players, whereas those who are a bit experienced jump to the Imperial side which is more "bad ***" and just be a jerk to other players because "that's what Siths are"
  15. people are whining because they didn't get what they wanted... it's expected... we're all just a whiny baby inside... but to put things into perspective, I think the packs were a good way to boost the GTN usage... before the packs, there really weren't TOO many things people REALLY wanted or had to sell... and the prices were ALL over the place... the packs somewhat made the GTN more "visible" and people are flocking the GTN daily (on fleet, usually ~30+ people there on each terminal at rush hours) but some people still have no idea how to "research" the items value before posting... as there has been a few reaaaaally low priced items being snatched just to be re-sold...
  16. I prefer someone who knows what they are doing over being a spec we need... if you're a bad tank, and don't know how to tank, or tanking just isn't your thing, then don't bother... because we'll hate you more for it for doing it badly... rather you be an extra DPS and wait for a tank than to bug you to do a tank... I have made a tank assassin, and a tank vanguard (also tank shadow, which is basically mimicking my assassin) but not very high in lvls yet... I don't think I'll make a medic, would probably try, but may not like it... I've never been the healing type... and I know no one will bug me for it and rather they know I suck at it than to try and fail and disappoint
  17. With a lvl 50 Sniper and a lvl 26 Assassin, my opinion may be quite heavily biased towards Snipers... but here's my personal experience with both (also note, my Assassin is Tank, or Darkness spec) demand, I'm not sure, as Tanks are generally more in demand, and Assassins can tank, I'd say Assassins... better damage, obviously as my Assassin is a Tank and not DPS... Sniper... Snipers CAN be complex... their cover mechanism takes some getting used to, and some outright hate it, but personally I love it... rotation can be very flexible depending on the situation, and it really takes practice to get some of the right... as I always forget I had certain skills that I only realize I could've used before the fight ended... As an assassin, since I'm still not too far, and still have a bad habit of playing a Sniper for longer, I can't say I'm any good at it... but I'm still having fun at being able to jump into the middle of a mob and just tank... without worrying about being overrun XD this is EXTREMELY biased, as my Sniper's lvl 50... this HAS to be Sniper... for 2 reasons... 1: see the next part, 2: it's lvl 50... I've been through the story and all the planets already... on my Assassin, I'm basically just repeating some of the parts I've been hooked on the Agent story since the beginning... great voice acting too! (female agent) however, I love all the sarcasm from the Inquisitors, and they're quite hilarious sometimes, and is SO MUCH better than the Consular counterpart imho... but overall I think I prefer Agent story but so far, Consular's not so bad... (at least compared to smuggler, which I haven't gotten over lvl 7 yet >.> maybe being the first toon I made and having been completely lost on story, mechanic, what to do in general didn't help... might make a new one in the future) overall, I prefer Imperial stories vs the Republic ones... only PvP'ed on my Sniper till 49, and about 3 matches at 50 to get the battlemaster rifle... not touched since... but I think Snipers, if played right, can be quite good... never tried PvP with my Assassin yet, so I can't really tell... but being a tank, I think it plays completely differently Sniper, you're stuck with Kaliyo for a LOOONG TIME until you finish Alderaan, where you get Vector (only romanceable companion for female agent) and then doc on Taris... then Temple on Hoth and SCORPIO on Belsavis... they each have their own unique and interesting personalities which make them quite awesome (maxed affection on 4/5 of them... only SCORPIO left) then there's the new HK-51, who's quite awesome in his own regard! XD Assassin, only Khem Val so far... and since I'm tank already, I don't need him much... which is where HK-51 comes in XD just got to Tatooine and met Andronikos but haven't gotten him yet... so can't comment on further companions yet... my pleasure!
  18. server sometimes lag and you can't do anything about that... also ever since I transferred all my game file onto my SSD, it has been a LOT smoother not sure if you're willing to dish out extra cash for a SSD, but installing windows on it and this... makes it a breeze... boot up in 30 seconds, and in-game in a min
  19. what's "pretty" and "ugly" are only a matter of personal opinion... some love it, some hate it... some prefer variety, some prefer the same few choices... I have the crystal on my female assassin... and I think it's nice... as a Sith Assassin's colours tend to hover around red to purple... so purple-pink is not so bad on her... and black cores are COOL! but what's the coolest is obviously the rarest WHITE... that is light in its purest form... I remember from KOTOR2 you had so many colour choices (and can add even more through mods) and it was quite awesome... (in Force Unleashed as well I think) the light saber colours were originally only blue, green and red... until Mace Windu showed up with his amazingly manly Purple... http://darthsanddroids.net/episodes/0370_bonus.jpg
  20. the main reason is simple... we all associate Han Solo with Republic and Boba Fett with Imperial... that's it... but story wise, you're right... I've met a smuggler (during my Agent Story) working for the Empire... and A LOT of Bounty Hunters working for neither faction but other 3rd party "gangs" or "organizations" the one thing I feel off, is how the opposite of Agent is Smuggler, while the Trooper's opposite is Bounty Hunter... sure one is light and agile but squishy, and the other heavy and durable but slow... but in the story context, both Agent and Trooper are military, (and have an AC that uses blaster rifles) whereas the Smugglers and BH are more "freelance" (and both use pistols...)
  21. not "allowed" to talk about says a LOT ... I hope... it'll probably be implemented, but just not revealing HOW... CC based or credit based, or crew skill based? or all 3? or how you can dye your equipments, like multiple colour combinations on 1 piece, or automatically colour all parts, some parts, random parts and how to select colours, random roll? a choice from palette? half and half? more wanted ones like white and black CC only? cartel boxes?
  22. even world commendations... Totally need a conversion system... like 1 vs 1 hutta/korriban/tython/ord mantell then 3vs1 above to dromund kaas/corsucant then 3vs1 as you advance... that'd get rid of a lot of older comms
  23. it is, to some people, it isn't, for some... but it isn't necessary... hence the word "fluff" problem comes, when people think they are entitled to this 'fluff'... and how they draw the line between what is and what isn't a 'fluff' I'm agree with you that BioWare/EA shouldn't do it in this case (for a new species) but that's solely because as a personal opinion, a new race is INDEED a "new content" in the sense that you have to start over from beginning... (to go through the whole game again) unless they throw down the option to change your current toon into a Cathar... then that, is DEFINITELY fluff (IMHO)
  24. oh believe me people will whine... "I PAID FOR IT WHY DID YOU TAKE AWAY MY SUBSCRIBER STATUS!?" "WHY PAY TO BE PREFERRED!?!?!?" you can see it coming... it's obvious... so again, if I were to run the new model, I'd completely abolish the subscription system... they can't whine how they "paid" for it, as they didn't... and I'm giving them the same experience without asking for money... the difference is, I'm ADDING new things, and by THAT if they want it, then be my guest, pay for it... the trick, or problem with this option, is that it's very risky... it's a make it or break it choice... IF players think the game's bad regardless, they'll leave... without players, there'd be no one paying for the "extra" or added content... to do so, they'd need to release added/new content regularly, non-stop... to keep them hooked for longer period of time... WHICH in turn requires they do opt in for the new/added content... so it's a bet on a bet... which is why EA/BioWare didn't go that way... it was WAY TOO risky to have invested so much in... but if you look at it another way... such as a company that has done it since the very start: Nexon... look how big they've become... sure they're not AS big as EA or Activision are, but they are quite big in the MMO sphere... this model definitely works... it all depends on how much confidence you have in your product, and how much you want to risk for it...
  25. again, the problem isn't what it's called... the problem is they're still offering a class that has a massive amount of "entitlement issues" which want more... the more you give the more they want... THAT is the problem I'm saying to take it out of the equation, it'll solve a lot of the headache give them all without taking anything... if they wanted any more, then you pay for it the only problem is, those who are still "entitled" for having subbed for so long... what to do? easy... give them the Cartel Coins! you paid for them! now go and get what you paid for! + you get unlimited ACCESS to everything you had before!
