  1. Don't gunslingers need Crit though? Or is it all power based in Marksman? Usually play DF in PVE so new to MM.
  2. Before anyone starts saying that I'm raging about new content for 3.0 may I suggest you look at the first word in the title of this thread. That's 'more' not 'new'. I really enjoy the new expansion in 3.0; The class quest and story is really well written and the changes to combat in the most part understandable and manageable (from a PVE perspective only, I'n not into PVP to much so not to bothered on that point). My Issue:- Pre 3.0, at max level ie. 55 there was a host of stuff to do through group finder; Hard mode traditional FP's, Normal mode traditional FP's, Tactical FP again both Hard and normal. A variety of Opps. okay only 4 but a variety none the less. Post 3.0 there is 4 HM FP's 2 Tactical FP and a choice of 2 Opps on continuous rotation. There is now less choice than before and the insult is the pre 3.0 options are all still available from 55-59! I don't really see how the current system is expanding on the last. BW here are a couple of suggestions and they are free of copyright if you want to use them!!! Add in HM Opps to the rotation TFB SV DF & DP. Make the lvl 55 HM FP's lvl 60 and move the original 1.0 HM FP's to 55. Make tier 1 Opps now lvl 55. This would all meen that the lvl 60 GF would open up not reduce down. The coding for this is incredibly simple for a team like the one you have. Its all about scaling so can be done really easily. Anyway its just my 2 cents worth. Happy hunting everyone.
  3. Its not the point (for me anyway) what currency is needed its the principle that I have already paid for something and don't believe that I should be paying again for the same thing.
  4. Sorry dude but your wrong - I was gunnery speck before patch and gunnery speck after patch and the skill trainer is charging me for standard commando abilities again such as charged bolts!
  5. Personally I like a full run the first time I did a run in SM. this is because I like to run it the way the developers designed it. After that and especially in HM I prefer to skip. I do sometime kill everything if I'm levelling an alt as the extra exp is always welcome but can't remember the last time I did a full run as a 50 in HM.
  6. That is probably because we are just coming to the end of the "improving existing functionality" bit. I would hope that by 2.5 and 3.0 we will really see the layers being added as the base from which they are built on is stable. At the end of the day no company will please everybody all of the time. What I can say is, for me, at the moment I am happy with what BW are doing and will continue to subscribe. I would however, as some one said, like to see a much improved press office and clearer information releases from said office as to what is happening.
  7. Now if we look at it this way, it makes some seance about all the changes in comms and gear since the game went live. I hope this is now the start of the proper development. As I mentioned- I remain a big fan of both the SW universe and the SWTOR game. Come on BW get it right please!
  8. Now you rais an interesting point. PVP space missions or Pod racing would be a really really intesting way of engaging new subs to the game. And from a development point, the pod racing could be done relatively quick as Lucas Arts have the code for this from the stand alone game that came out years ago! This would be a welcome 'distraction' from the gear grinding. Good point well made Sir. I conced:)
  9. Everyone keeps banging the "SWTOR isn't as good as WOW" drum. WOW has been going for over 10 years SWTOR is only just a year into development! I played WOW when BC came out and IMO SWTOR is better at levelling your character as there is a storyline running through it. Yes there is a lot BioWere could do and as stated in other posts there will be a development plan. You think EA and the other investors would sink their money into the project without one? Give it a couple of years at least before you start thinking that its not going anywhere. Personally I think it's a fun and interactive GAME and please remember that it is just that a game. If you don't like it play something else.
  10. I have to say this is the most comprehensive guide to vanguard tanking I have ever read. Thank you. Also I know people have said Explosive Round is something to ignore but I would disagree to a small extent. As with the quote it can be a useful tool to knock back normal and week targets that the DPS are ignoring that just might go for the healer. Yes it uses some ammo but it does a fair amount of damage. Don't get me wrong I don't use it a lot, maybe 2 or 3 times in a HM FP but it can be useful especially if followed by an Energy Blast and Rail shot to make up ammo spent. I also use it at the end of an encounter to unload on targets to help out the DPS (especially if there fairly green) as you can recharge once out of combat. Just my point of view.
