  1. Odds are, someone's probably asked this question and received their own disheartening answer, but I don't really want to know the odds. I'm looking for a Mandalorian helmet for my trooper. Where can I find one? Before you start to slam me, I have done a good bit of research, but 90% of what I find is for Bounty Hunters, not troopers. Supposedly, the Red Reaper Specialist's helmet looks Mandalorian so I ran Red Reaper until I was blue in the face. Then I did a little more fact-checking and found out that on the Republic side, the Red Reaper Specialist's Helmet looks just like any other trooper helmet--cool, but not Mandalorian. I've checked the GTN too and haven't turned up much, and I starting to think that finding a Mandalorian helmet isn't going to be easy. But it's asking a lot of me to believe that there is no Mandalorian helmet on the entire Republic side. Before I chase another rabbit trail and go off running a flashpoint until my fingers fall off, I thought it would be good to throw this post out here and fish for answers. Any and all help is appreciated, because I'm sure there are other troopers out there who have wanted to RP a Mandalorian backstory. ~Buruk
  2. Hi all! I'm a level 33 Shield Spec Vanguard, and I've just started to get into pvp. It was only last night that I found out that taunts did anything at all in pvp, and I found out how important they are. I'm wondering if anyone has any other tips for me that would help me get to know the pvp side of my class better. In PvE I'm a pretty good tank, but in PvP I die a lot more, so I figure I'm doing something wrong. Thanks!
  3. UPDATE: So I re-keybound everything. I'm currently using esdf to move, and I think it's working a lot better than my system before. Thanks to all who gave their input.
  4. Ahhh. So most people strafe with wasd/esdf and use their mouse to turn? I guess that sortof makes sense. I'll try it out and see how it feels. What are the advantages of wasd vs. esdf? And in combat, does the right hand just sit on the mouse waiting to move, or is it useful in any way?
  5. Hey all, Before I started playing SWTOR, I read through a few forums on keybinding and clicking, and decided I would experiment to find out what worked for me. As it is, I’m not a clicker, I’m a devoted keybinder. The thing is, I have a slightly odd keybinding arrangement, and I’m wondering if any of you think it will affect endgame for me (I’m currently level 30). I’m open to trying something new, but if possible, I would prefer to keep my setup. But if I’m not going to keep my setup, then I’d appreciate opinions on how to re-keybind. My setup: Currently I’m moving with my arrow keys. I’m not strafing. In general, my right hand stays on the arrow keys (I use the 0 key to the right of the arrow keys for my speeder). My left hand rests with my thumb on the “c” key, my pinky on the tab key, and my middle fingers on 1, 2, and 3. Tab is what I use to target the nearest enemy. “c” pulls up the map, which I use frequently. 1, 2, and 3 are various attacks. (I’m a trooper, if that helps). Actually, my attack keys are currently: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, `, q, w, e, r, a, s, d, f, x, and v. Questions: 1. Should I be strafing? I’m not really used to it, and if I strafe, then how do I turn? I think my setup makes it difficult to strafe, but I’m not sure. 2. Should I be using the control key to give me more options? 3. I’ve never really ever used wasd to move, but I might try it if someone could help me figure out how to set things up. 4. General advice is appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Wow. Lotsa LU vets here. This is: Archer13 Jiale Durin Takanuva signing in. Most people probably know me as Archer13 though. (Full Venture league, the works) I'm really glad to see you guys here. The only person I really recognize is Nealybealy though--it's been a while. ~Answer the Call~
  7. In X-Wing: Rogue Squadron (which I'm currently reading through), I heard that the Empire had about half of the galaxy and the New Republic had about 30%, and 20% were undecided. At least, this was the case 2 years after the Emperor's death.
  8. I've been able to craft MK 1 augmentation kits, but when/where/how do I learn to craft MK 2 augmentation kits and so on and so forth? Do I learn the schematics for them somewhere?
