  1. Just tried to log back into Harbinger this morning, but could also not get past the launcher. Switching DNS to Google / Open DNS name servers has solved it for me. This should only be necessary temporarily while the new DNS information is updated. That's really thoughtless network design though, an ISP change should not cause you to having to change IP addresses if you're an organisation this size ...
  2. The one thing I'm really missing from the patch notes is a rise of the mission cap of number of missions that you can keep in your mission log. With PvE & PvP dailies as well as pending vehicle quests + event missions I hit the cap almost every day. This limitation is of no use from a game mechanics perspective and highly intrusive. Getting the cap lifted would rid the game of one more simple annoyance!. That aside I'm looking forward to 2.0!
  3. Yes, there were a few grievances, from repair cost and overly pvp behavior on a pve server. But other than that I've enjoyed the quests and the ops bosses greatly. Truth to be told I haven't leveled any alts this weeks or moved my 50s off Ilum at all.
  4. It's been said before, your average (male) SWTOR player in his mid 30s with job and kids does not have the time to play in the conditions the increased repair costs dictate. While I can burn money on the cartel market like crazy and afford to pay plenty of real cash, I simply can't afford to play more than I'm playing now. If there's no mechanism for the majority of your player base to stay financially afloat with in game cash they're going to walk away. If my sub hadn't just ticked over I would have walked away already. I'm crossing my finger that a fix is in the pipeline, but quite frankly I'm getting more and more pessimistic about the game. SWTOR can be an excellent mix between a serious MMO and an enjoyable past time for casual players. The increased repair cost have only tilted it in a way excluding anyone who is not willing or capable to spend twice the time on dailies they'd spend in progression runs. And the formula that calculates repair cost is definitely out of whack. Below the repair costs for 1 death for 1 x Shadow tank, full black hole , with Cartel Chest, but BH shells otherwise: 9106 credites 1 x Sage DPS, mostly legacy gear, with BH and Dread Guard, 12600 credits, 1 x Commando DPS, mostly legacy gear, with BH and Dread Guard, 8329 credits, 1 x Gunslinger, mostly Tionese with some recruit, 5761 It seems there's a vanity penalty if you wear certain shells.
  5. Had to repair a rather new 50 with some Recruit and Tionese gear with only 1 or 2 stock standard Columi items and had to pay 60K when the gear was at 20% dmg. Until my current sub runs out I'll PVP and probably go F2P after that before not bothering to do anything anymore anyway. Great way to kill the fun ...
  6. All our progression teams - in one of the largest guild on Dalborra - have effectively stopped. What's worse 6 out of 8 in my raid team have contemplated cancelling their subscription and moving on. To be honest, After more than a year of playing this was the first time I actually checked as well when my subscription is due and when it's convenient to cancel ... This issue is better resolved fast or there will be indeed an exodus.
  7. As been mentioned before the average SWTOR player is a mid 30 male working and having a few hours per week to play. Incidentally so am I. If you need to spend 2/3 rd of that little spare time to just be able to grind for cash to be able to spend 1/3rd of the time to do what you enjoy, then the fun and recreational factor of the game is gone. If there is not a moderating factor implemented soon, either increase rewards for dailies or HM Ops -(seriouly HM EC etc bring less cash than a dailies run ... ???? ) or alternatively reduce the cost for gear repairs than this is the end of the game for me.
