I'm with you there. I tanked all the time on WoW. But leaving WoW and coming to swtor I don't really feel like dealing with stupid ppl. I don't always have the best armor for tanking so I just dps. But I still play the tanking tree for the higher survival when I'm questing.

I applaude you for wanting to improve as a tank. I was a main tank for years on World of Warcraft. I loved it up till ppl were being rediculous and would get mad if I couldn't pull an entire room or two and survive. I'm a lv 20 PT and do flashpoints everyday but only as dps. Not sure if I could handle being a main tank on here. I'm a casual player and therefore don't usually have the best gear for tanking. Like everyone else said just keep practicing with these flashpoints and I'm sure you'll make a fine tank.

I got a lv 20 PT specced totally in shield specialists and it rocks! Does good damage and high survival! I normally dps in a flashpoint and so far noone complains about my dps. My advice would be to specc as much as you can in the shield specialist tree. It's got alot of talents that increase your survival and alot of talents in that tree increase your dps as well.

My main is a lv 20 PT. I love it! It actually does good dps. I'm always rolling as dps for falshpoints even tho I'm speccing in the shield specialist tree. I always favor high survival but I don't like to tank. Sometimes I'll tank when needed but I prefer to dps. Less stress imo. PT is really fun to play and is real good in pve and pvp. I'd really recommend going the PT route. I tried a mercernery up to 20 as well but I didn't like it as much. PT imo is way funner to play!
