  1. Scrapper Shoot First, I can hit a nasty 5k on it. When Crit is good. ^.^ Also pair it up with Flechette.... Great hitting attack
  2. Bump for this thread. As soon as I saw the ideas of new planets from KoTOR 1 and 2, I instantly wanted to reactivate and play those games.. Manaan and Dantooine were my favorite planets
  3. Level 55, A 4m execute attack for Operatives and Scoundrels (I.E Under 30% Hardhitter)
  4. I can see it now. An unkillable 31/3/12 Specced operative making people unsub according to Bioware Metrics. Assassin Hybrids would be even nastier, and Guardians would have unremitting. That would be real QQ.
  5. Arena Battles: If people have played KoTOR I, Taris was really fun to have the arena to fight competitors in. Go inside of the cantina, and fight your opponent, 1 on 1. It would be even more nice if we had a ranking system that tracks people's wins and losses. Just a thought.
  6. Nice Try is very good for the one Pro you mentioned. Say it like this. I'm doing Wounding Shots on an Operations Boss like Zorn or Toth. Whichever one. Anyway some bosses in this game do cleanse their DoTs. So let's say in a PVP situation you are dealing with the lovely stealth-stabby Operative. You can DoT him once. He cleanses, but then he realizes. Oh damn! He had Nice Try. So it's good against stealthers and also finishing off an enemy who you could have killed with one more hit, but you let the bleeds kill him first. Flash Powder in my eyes is very useless. Your better off just leaving those two points alone.
  7. The only thing I have a problem with is that damn 12 CD on Back Blast. Why Bioware felt this was needed was just what?? If you make it to six again, I bet you anything that they would be at least viable in PVE.
  8. Scoundrel = Apple, (Stealth Heals) Assassin = Orange (Stealth Tank) Scoundrel has those heals which if you do give them another tool. They can rule the field in utility. Not Damage. We all can agree than even on a Scoundrel's terms. (Your Face in the Ground, Decked with a Shottie) A Powertech would still be able to take the day because of his burst, but again this isn't 1 v 1. A Scoundrel just running around getting quick killing blows with Shoot First would be still beneficial to a team IMO
  9. I'm sorry... Comparing a Powertech to a Scoundrel is really really a bad case. Very bad. Powertech can do in 5 GCDS what a Scoundrel can do in 8 GCDS. I don't believe in the whole two shotting thing, but Powertech gives you a VERY small window to react where all you have to do with a Scoundrel is make sure he's got Shoot First and Backblast on GCD. Yeah they can escape, but they can't compare to a Powertech on Burst Damage. The only two true advantages Scoundrel has over Powertech is Healing. I mean great healing, and the power to escape much easier than any class in the game.
  10. As much as I would LOVE to see this, and how I am a huge fanboy of this class.... It would break PVP. No joke. Seeing how in my opinion that most Operatives at 50 at least have a HEAVY knowledge about their class. Heals wise. No they don't need a buff, DPS Wise..... They do, but most skilled Operatives/Scoundrels will tell you that they are okay with PVP Damage output. Any other tool given to Scoundrels would have other people complaining about this class... Trust me. They nerfed then after 1.2, and people still got REALLY Butthurt so Bioware swung the Nerfbat again. It's just the way it is. Seeing a DPS Operative/Scoundrel in a WZ is so rare. It's the most fun class to play. Yet the way that it's devised it's completely reliant on stealth, which is OP as it is.
  11. Gunslingers are were they should be honestly for PVP, Yeah we have cover and no one can leap to us? What's your point? People seem to trip about a RANGED Class shooting a MELEE Class from 35 Meters away? Is this a joke? Melee has much more survivability than us. That's basically our defense is range and being a turret. Hunker Down is basically our "Get out of Jail Free Card" almost every class has one. Except for Commandos. Honestly though we are glass cannons out of cover. No Brainer, but still. Gunslingers are fine as is.
  12. Another thing can be when "Sneak" is used out of stealth, it can proc Shoot First to be used out of stealth mode. Plus Flechette Round can add a 3% Damage Vulnerability to bosses/other players. Just throwing out some fantasy ideas. Sad to see such a fun class die in PVE Bracket. I'm satisfied with PVP Damage, but in half the effort, I can do the same exact thing on my Powertech.
  13. I love this class. I don't wish to see it fall to the ground on PVE Content though. So here are just two suggestions for the DPS Tree. Dirty Fighting is fine. I can usually pull about 1400+ DPS on the MK-5 Operations Dummy. Sawbones is an amazing healer as well. Still Scrapper needs some love. 1) Have Acid Blade/Flechette Round activate with Sever Tendon/Tendon Blast Reason: It would fit well with their moves. Throw a Knife have it covered with Acid or Shoot a Flechette Round at his legs, make him bleed! 2) Have Backstab/Backblast on 10 Second CD "8 If Specced into Sawed Off/Waylay Reason: Sustained DPS would be better for us and put us more on par with other melee DPS Classes
  14. The thing about buying comms is most people would be scared as hell to see a newbie in BiS War Hero Gear. People complain on here all the time it doesn't take War Hero to be on top, and for the most part at sometimes... It's true. Still it's not necessarily Pay 2 Win if you all have a shot of getting the same gear. Now I have done the grind of War Hero, but I haven't BiS mine yet. All in all it takes about 200+ of PVP in order to get the damn things. Now whoever brought up "Wasting your real life to buy in-game gear" I'd rather buy my full set of gear and it would probably take me less time to do it, rather than have a grind against organised premades losing a lot of games just to get to my mark for a couple of pieces. But honestly that's just me. Still the Valor and WZ Health Pack boosts would be good
  15. FFS. They don't listen to us because people keep putting up threads. LUL Nerf this, nerf that, buff this, buff that. Bioware probably reads the PVP Forums and say, "Damn, What do people want from us??" You have different crowds making arguments and a lot of people not giving "Constructive" posts on the PVP Forums.
  16. Basic point of this thread is well I just wondered what it was like to join a coordinated PVP Guild that really tries it's hardest to PVP and get organized teams together in all Brackets. (Ranked, 50, Lowbie). I'm thinking about to rolling on PotF, but I might change. Anyway as a HUGE fan of PVP in this game, I feel like PVPing on the PVE Harbinger Server doesn't make me seem like a "Good" PVPer. I do have my WH Gear Twinked, but I don't mind actually grinding another toon to have a great guild to PVP with and also to have fun with. If anyone could actually confirm that these guilds still exist that would be great. Also with the new WZ coming in, and I'm hoping that Bioware might one day develop new PVP maps, but it's sorta a long shot. I feel like PVP in this game is great, just add a bit more maps. Anyway thanks in advance!
  17. Only thing slicing needs is a little higher chance on crit for harvesting the credit boxes. ~1400 in one box in the Black Hole? Really? It should at LEAST be 2000 at that level solely based on not a lot of boxes actually drop in that place anyway.
  18. Yeah. I agree with the statement of 40 is underpowered for melee. It might be just me though. Then again I played Swtor using just Ranged DPS and Heals. Only time I had to get in someones face to do damage was when i was my Shadow Tank. So I mean I don't have the most experience with it, but I do now strongly believe only the truly skilled could make this class REALLY shine. As a Gunslinger I have seen terribad players rock the class in Sub-50 PVP, and a Gunslinger was my first class I played on swtor and I remember doing about 200k in WZs just sitting there with Aimed Shot and Charged Burst.
  19. Well okay. Let me start off by saying this is not a QQ thread and that I seriously commend Marauders for taking the UNBEARABLE Leveling stage and simply having the patience for melee DPS. I am an experienced player who has a Level 50 Gunslinger, Level 50 Operative Healer, Level 50 Shadow Tank, and a Level 40 Powertech. Still working on my Scoundrel, who will be a DPS. Anyways back on topic.... I thought it would be a good idea to see what the fuss about the Marauder class was.... So I rolled one to thirty.... You guys could say I suck with a Melee DPS I will agree. Here are my points I throw that the ways I commend you.... 1. Yes you guys have 4 ********lol buttons Cloak of Pain, Saber Ward, Undying Rage, and Force Camo, but holy crud? How do you guys close the gap with Gunslingers?? PVP I try to take on everyone else and Usually succeed on taking out you know, Sages, Vanguards, Commandos, Shadows, Healing Scoundrels. Just by using my Force Charge. When I see a Gunslinger Hunkered Down though..... Its a lot cause for me.... Just don't even want to describe the experience with one. 2. Wow yeah you get your healer Malavai Quinn on Balmorra yes.... But even then Marauders are pretty squishy. Relying on just DPS and of course the long Defensive CDs, but still this class has a form of squishy-ness. 3. Here's my big one. Assault Vanguards and Other classes with a slow.... Say these units keep you in the rage of 6-9m. And they are DPSing and smartly kiting you at the same time..... Just how the hell do you put up with that?? I mean seriously while the damn Vanguard is making me a human lightning rod and the Sage is Constantly hitting me with the Sever Force Combo and thinking he is all hard cause he is throwing rocks at me. I have to walk my slow self there! Anyways I am currently level 31 with this build http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#100bZhGMRMZG.2 Lastly as leaving. Kudos to all you damn people who have the patience to take the raged and kiters. It does take a hell of amount of skill to play this class and master your own rotation, well done. Anyways now let the "L2P Sayers" and "Lul u suk unsub!" People begin their assault on me.
  20. Another 1.4 Patch Note. Operatives will no longer be allowed to generate Tactical Advantage. Their Overload Shot will cost 25 Energy, and Backstab will be on a 24 second CD.
  21. Nope. You guys should honestly earn your gear the same way I did. By gettting stomped into the ground for about 40-80 comms a game. Sometimes I won so that was good, but still. Grind for it. If there were no gear grinds there would be no point on Level 50 PVP. Do you do Level 50 PVP to have fun? Hmm lets see? 19k WH/Augmented vs. 17k Battlemaster? Or a 13k Recruit? Nah. You do it for gear.
  22. I have healed through this FP With 2 Operative DPS and An Amazing Tank. As long as you have a good healer and a tank that has a clue, you could do this no problem.... On the other hand one time I did this with 1 Sniper and 1 Madness Sorc and a tank who was fairly new to it, and we wiped quite a number of times on LR-5 and That frozen boss that drops the ice from the ceiling.... So It's all based on what type of tank and healer you got.
  23. 1. Reduce the CD of Bacta Infusion to 15 seconds. 2. Have a proc on Full Auto that makes either Charged Bolts or Grav Round activate instantly (If your specced in Gunnery) 3. An Ability on a 1 Min CD that makes all abilities uninterruptible for 10 seconds. May seem I favor Commando. Not really. Just want to see them as a viable PVP Class again! They really deserve some love too.
  24. The only thing that Operative needs to be "Viable" for both PvE and PvP is that 6 second CD on Backstab. For instance instead of Waylay having 4% Bonus to damage.... How bout it reduce the CD on Backstab by 6 seconds? It would help them GREATLY in both PVP and PVE.
  25. Basically what the title says. This is the only class where I seriously have trouble with.... I like scrapper cause of Burst. Then again I like Dirty Fighting with the DoTs. I currently found also that a 18/0/23 Spec really is effective in PVP, but I just would like to know more on how to use this class much more effectively. Thanks!
