  1. Why don't you just go play FOTM class? Sorcs already have the best utility in the game and you are asking them to have top tier DPS along with the already top tier utility?
  2. Go pyrotech powertech if you wanna DPS. You can also run a pretty good tank spec with arguably the most utility in the game if you get bored of DPS. I personally wouldn't go sith sorcerer for DPS bc they apparently are not effective past level 50. They are most viable healing and utility with all their cc. But I would say operative right now if you want to heal; the sorcs AoE healing isn't that good for pvp because people move a lot.
  3. Hey guys this is my first MMO and I just got my main through act 1 on Jedi Covenant. Now that I "get" the game a little bit more I kinda wanna try out a PvP server as opposed to PvE. I know with all the server transfer things going on now I won't be able to very soon in the future. Is PvP that much more fun, and should I start a new legacy after finally getting through act 1, or will I be able to transfer from my PvE server to a PvP in the future? I know that right now you can't do a transfer from PvE to PvP and vice versa, but will this be viable someday? I also play with a friend and he doesn't seem too keen about switching servers at all while having a decent legacy level; he's also against getting ganked... Thanks for any help or input!
  4. I havnt gotten gear yet that I like at 32 and was wondering what I can look forward to.
  5. I know from reading the books that it's a pretty difficult game to play and the rules are kids weird but I feel like the game could be generated by a computer somewhat simply. It would be cool to have this as a mini game gambling station in cantinas. I do understand the game somewhat and I know the cards an everything you guys would have to make up but it'd be cool if George Lucas'a idea of sabaac could finally be visualized. I feel like this could be big for gamblers that play this game and hardcore star wars fans that really have read the books. I believe the rules of sabaac go in to detail and are explained in 'Han Solo Trilogy'. There is also already a flash player game of sabaac out there mesa believes(so I know it can be done). Also, the rules are in the Star Wars wiki page for sabaac. Please add this, it is totally do-able and wishing to be Lando Calrissian and Han Solo is such a huge dream for many SW fans (as everyone loves the originals more than the new ones, Episode 5 is easilly the best!). I really hope that my energy is getting through to you because I am really excited about the thought of how doable adding this would be. This would also be a fun change of pace for new content to come out. Online gambling is illegal in the United States, but I'd love to steal hard earned credits from people in the Stat Wars Universe. Thanks a ton guys! Don't let the haters put you down!
  6. to be honest, i have over ten friends that want to play swtor. but many of them don't because they didnt actually feel like buying it and their computers cant handle it. they all have old macs or have pretty crappy pc's. i also have a bunch of friends that quit after playing for a month after launch bc they are only in to end game content. the games changed so much that if people come back i think they will stay, and i think that people play for free will wanna do some end game. i have a couple friends already telling me now that theyll try it out when it comes out for free. so guys, recruit your friends. nothing is better at recruiting than free things.
  7. im paying to play the full game right now. i like the game already and im totally okay with continuing to play as i still have a lot of content to see. im also totally okay with playing with other people that are playing a much more limited game for free. and if they feel like buying gear (that they cant even use in end game) instead of farming, grinding, or whatever, let em. i cant wait to see threads and complaints about how limited the F2P is. those complaints are going to be the best part about subscribing.
  8. I havnt read the last 11 pages of this thread, but this is what I have to say. Yes. They are going to spend money now to make it free to play. The goal of free to play is to attract players that before didn't want to play the game. It will bring back people that subbed at launch and complained that it wasn't a perfect game yet. Once they add all the FtP thing and get that all set up, they will have to move back to content. It's not like they would spend energy after setting up the FtP making FtP limited items or anything. If all goes well, it will take a few months to add free to play, and then it will be a money making machine for BioWare, and then the devs will have more money to play with. On the laying off dev teams thing? The game is already pretty well polished, but not perfect. It doesn't take that many developers to make minor tweaks to the game when need be and to nerf and buff some classes. As for content, there are 8 classes that you can play as with at least half way decent story. I can understand someone with 8 lvl 50's wanting more content. But for those people with a main and no alt? I don't wanna compare this to WoW, but did WoW have 4 warzones and a ton of flashpoints within one year of releasing the game? TL;DR it sucks that the devs are gonna take money and put it into F2P but after they implement that system they will hopefully start generating more money which can be put in to developing the game more for subscribers. Just give them a few months.
  9. If so, which one did you have more fun leveling and which is your favorite?
  10. I don't see the problem people had. I use a shield tech in the tank stance and had mako in a healing stance (like always). I did this yesterday, it was a fun fight because it was close. A lot of people say to roll shieldtech for leveling because it's slightly easier to go through and it's nice having that survivabilty and oil slick is a nice ut-oh button when health gets down low, throw on a CC, use a med pack and have malo heal you while you wait for your health to go up. This situation almost never arises, but it's my best chance when I get low in health. And upon reading this I realize that the post has little to do with the question...
  11. Hey guys, I'm gonna go ahead and apologize since there's probably been tons of threads like this... I'm making an alt and I don't know if I want to go commando or roll a vanguard. My main is a powertech (usually shieldtech), so half of me tells me to go commando. My other half tells me that I know I like the play style of the PT andVanguard, and I feel like commandos don't look as cool and their cannon looks kinda silly... If anyone has made this decision before and did or did not find yourself happy, please give me you story and your two cents on the subject. P.S. I probably won't do much pvp, I'm more in it for leveling and flashpoints. I <3 flashpoints.
  12. So what exactly are you complaining about? There's always going to be more DPS users than healers or tanks for every class you choose. You also don't necessarily have to use a guardian to tank, if tanking is what you want to try.
