  1. didnt work basically im just trying to get the GUI window of the launcher to pop up. it reports no errors when it doesnt launch
  2. Basically the launcher wont open anymore and comes up with no error. Ive tried ending it in task manager, adding firewall rules, reinstalling the game, using the launcher repair utility, (LauncherRepairUtilityD2.0.1), the launcher works in windows safe mode with networking but past logging in it doesn't download the game. The real issue is it doesn't work in normal windows mode like it doesn't boot up at all but if I could AT LEAST solve the issue of getting it to show the interface on normal windows boot after double clicking the icon that would solve my problem. Any ideas to get it to boot the interface on normal startup of windows? Ive read a ton of other help related issues on the launcher none of them worked most would advise the firewall or the launcher fix utility (LauncherRepairUtilityD2.0.1) they didn't work so I started my own post to see if I could get help personally. A clean install of windows might fix this but I want to see if I could fix it without going through the hassle of reinstalling everything on my computer so if anyone has any solutions besides a clean install of windows that u know could work that I haven't tried don't be afraid to post here and tell me!
  3. thats not the point. the point is its bugged as u all clearly now see since i posted videos this issue is not present on gunslinger but it exists for sniper so its an imbalance that the developers should fix thank you for the feedback everybody but i now think a dev needs to respond to this so im gonna keep it bumped /bugged in 2 threads until a dev responds to it because this issue has gone on long enough.

Because its still broke and has been ever since they changed the animation for no good reason. its been 3+ years. devs fix this crap already revert it back to series of shots animation it was working perfectly fine back then until you changed the animation. the issue: series of shots fires 4 rounds, successfully, 100% of the time, for virulence and engineering spec. BUT! Marksmanship: penetrating blasts fires 4 rounds (suppose to be 5 rounds) something like 70% of the time but after a sniper volley ability will usually fire the designed 5 rounds.. but its buggy at best and this is very frequent in pvp. If you revert the animation back to series of shots for marksmanship you will fix the problem you created years ago. a broken animation that doesnt work right or even aim properly when people move to your side or back if you are facing forward. its a crappy animation and any marksmanship sniper that pvps knows the penetrating blasts animation is CRAP and broken. the series of shots animation it had for a short time when the 5 round improvement was implemented was FAR SUPERIOR than the new animation penetrating blasts has now for marksmanship sniper, AND WOULDNT BUG OUT and FIRE 4 rounds over 5 70+% of the time! tldr: devs revert penetrating blasts animation back to series of shots animation to fix a terrible bug. thank you. proof its bugged pvp vid pve vid

Bah u guys dont know what u are talking about, its been bugged ever since they changed the animation from series of shots for marksmanship someone sticky this until its fixed and developers please read the sniper forums because you still need to revert the animation for penetrating blasts back to series of shots to fix its brokenness. Also if you disagree with me dont even post here, i know how some of you trolls get. its the animation and its broken for penetrating blasts. series of shots work fine, 4 shots. penetrating blasts, 4 shots like 70% of the time and after a sniper volley u usually get 5 shots. anyway its been this way for 3+ years. i made a new sniper and its still like this. i bugged it but its still an issue, it needs fixing ASAP. so im keeping this bumped until it does cause its gone on LONG ENOUGH. another example would be the stronghold defender blaster rifle and sniper. it was broken to where u couldnt claim duplicates of it on other chars but with the recent cartel update they fixed that. they just need to do this for the marksmanship penetrating blasts animation, revert it BACK to series of shots but fires 5 rounds instead of 4 for penetrating blasts like how it was before they CHANGED the animation for NO GOOD REASON since it wasnt even BROKEN. AND NOW IT IS AND HAS BEEN FOR 3 + YEARS. Also Gyronamics or w/e if u come back here with that nonsense why dont you post a recent video of you playing YOUR sniper in a pvp match, marksmanship build of your penetrating blasts firing 5 rounds 100% of the time. and if u can prove that i will say its a bug on some peoples characters otherwise dont even bother coming back to my thread to derail it trying to turn it into a flame war when the ISSUE IS CLEAR. PENETRATING BLASTS needs to be REVERTED back to SERIES OF SHOTS animation to properly fire 5 rounds 100% of the time since i know the devs are too lazy to fix their crappy penetrating blasts animation which SUCKS and is CRAP series of shots is way better and always will be FIX THIS ****.

  7. it fires 4 rounds instead of 5. no combat logging needed. Also, its the devs that had that much time to fix it, and its still broken for snipers i noticed nothing wrong on my gunslinger but when they screwed with the animation for snipers its been broken ever since,, tahts 3+ years. try a sniper for yourself to find out. (no offense please dont take it as so, i just dont have time to be messing with additional crap when people with eyes should have just seen by now that it is broken,, anyone who plays sniper who is not trying to get it secretly nerfed/broken knows this!)

Devs this is still an issue and its been years imperial sniper marksmanship penetrating blasts (usually) does not fire all 5 rounds but rather bugs out and fires 4 rounds ever since you changed the animation for penetrating blasts please fix! Also players that are aware of this issue should file bug reports in-game since this post had over 5,000 views and still no fix! Also an admin should probably sticky this until its fixed!   9. You cant claim duplicates of the item on other characters because the UNLOCK BUTTON for it is bugged in the collections please fix thank you! When u press it nothing happens it doesnt WORK like the others please fix thank you!

  11. Ardent Defender blaster rifle, assault cannon and sniper look good but most of the other ranged weapons over time don't look like a blaster of any type that looks decent. Look at star wars galaxies blaster rifles for a realistic look and then look at the blaster rifles in this game most of them look like crap. Please design better looking ranged weapons in the future. Developers I give ardent defender a 10/10 but the ones before that look mediocre at best when compared to other star wars games ranged weapons like star wars battlefront or star wars galaxies. Just make them look more robust like real assault rifles then design them around a star wars background but keep them looking realistic and robust ardent defender is probably the only good example of this. Please design better range weapons thank you.
  12. the knockback when specialized in the utility points works for me its just the penetrating blasts doesnt fire all 5 rounds 100% of the time like it used to. when it was series of shots and just made it 5 shots for penetrating blasts and quicker firing speed before the animation change it worked perfectly fine. ever since they changed the animation its been a buggy 4 shots 70% of the time and sometimes 5 shots 30% of the time. Also you just stand in 1 place the animation isnt dynamic if someone moves behind you and you are facing forward you fire forward and the shots shoot backward to the target. the move is severely broken and its in dire need of a better animatiion, rollback of animation, or a fix.
  13. Anyone else think the blaster rifle moves for Vanguard are lacking / missing something without Full Auto or an adequate replacement? Now I know how some people that don't really care for aesthetics like to say it was a balancing move but Full Auto was far from imbalancing Vanguard / a useless move for pros. For one it had 30m range so there is its use right there and had high damage output and a stun for PvE weak mobs. Also this was a very good move for tank vanguards as it has less damage moves compared to the other specializations also it completed the blaster rifle arsenal as thats what blaster rifles can do, fire in full auto like the assault cannon. So while I believe this was a balancing move I think the devs should go back on it solely for aesthetics and a bone for a more well rounded blaster rifle move arsenal for all specializations in Vanguard. Also, Shield Specialist Vanguard is a little boring now without Full Auto. it went well with Ion Pulse, Energy Blast, Ion Storm, and High Impact Bolt. More blaster rifle moves are always good, as a trooper should be a class that primarily uses its blaster rifle like how a jedi primarily uses its lightsaber. Please devs if its not too much trouble for the next expansion implement Full Auto back for Vanguard or give it an adequate Blaster Rifle move replacement thats actually aesthetically pleasing for a Blaster Rifle class to have. Another thing I've seen Tank Jedi Guardians doing 700k+ damage 300k+ protection 200k+ healing in warzones. This is cause it hasn't been butchered like the Vanguard class please devs at the very least if there is no plans for real blaster rifle moves in the new expansion reinstate Full Auto for Vanguards. Thank you.
  14. Still buggy maybe this next expansion it will be fixed or when they look at classes again. Right now Sage / Sorcerer is over the top in pvp with a tank and they go and mess with Sniper when it wasn't even broke, now its broke, been like this for over 1 year this move still hasn't been fixed. They should just revert it back to the old animation it was far superior.

Im not talking about the balance I was just saying the vanguard / powertech blaster moves operative / scoundrel blaster moves sux and are boring so the devs should redesign them into real ranged classes sometime instead of leaving them the garbled boring nonsense they are now. anyone who has played one of the real ranged classes will see those are better than those specs will ever be. I played lethality a great deal and when you throw a tank and healer into the mix the lethality is far too weak, concealment is way better. So I say the devs should better balance the game by giving that class range and more damage same with powertech / vanguard it needs to be redesigned into a ranged damage dealer class / ranged tank so the game can be more diverse and unique instead of another cookie cutter melee tank class that is just no fun to play since its moves like full auto were ripped out of its sockets for no good reason. Seriously people they ripped full auto out of vanguard / trooper.. the blaster rifle class and no one cares, noobs / nerds just look at lame excuses like 'balance' when sage / sorcerer is still over the top especially with a tank. So the devs should start making these classes better like sage / sorcerer instead of nerfing classes into the ground making them no fun to play.
  16. Why was this taken out? So servers can become scattered and empty? Put the meter back in please so everyone can see the highest pop server and centralize there for a better gameplay experience. A year ago it was there, and the harbinger server was at heavy status now no one knows the status of the server or the game for that matter. Please put it back in so people can pick good servers they like. No good apparent reason to downgrade the system.

No I don't mean like 100% real I mean just be more realistic within the game (30m range on all guns at least) instead of cheap and boring and bland like how vanguard / powertech scoundrel / operative rifle / pistol moves are. For some god forsaken reason the developers gave them only 10m range when its a ranged weapon. In games like star wars galaxies Pre Combat Upgrade & Combat Upgrade the weapons had better moves and actually had decent range on them. Giving the classes that use blasters some real range wouldnt unbalance anything especially if something like sage / sorcerer + a guard from a tank are allowed to stay as powerful as they are now. Im dead serious in pvp all i see are the sith / jedi classes mainly sorcerer / sage and the other 10 - 20% the classes that use a ranged weapon. But all I ask, fix the 10m range of the ranged classes, make them 30m so they are fun to play, why play a 10m ranged class? it should all be 30m ranged class. if I wanted 10m range thats what the melee specializations are for. I propose the Lethality specialization from operative/scoundrel be turned into a ranged skirmisher (30m range) since thats the spec that specializes for more blaster rifle/pistol moves in operative/scoundrel, which i think should be more adaptable. it is currently very weak when compared to concealment and only offers 6+m range on the rifle/pistolmoves when they should be 30m but the devs are professionals if they gear themselves for it, they could redesign it and i hope they make it 30m so using a blaster is less gimped over there. But wait im not done, thats not the only class thats not realistic/ no fun to play. Vanguard/powertech needs to be redesigned into a ranged tank / ranged to short range skirmisher. This would also make it flexible/adaptable/versatile and more fun to play if it actually employed more use of the blaster rifle/pistol like how guns really operate in the real world. To start instead of looking at lame balancing tactics that just gimp a class and make it less fun to play, lets look at improving classes so they are more fun to play. I propose reinstating Full Auto back for vanguard / power tech, giving it 30m range on full auto, explosive round, high impact bolt. Also to make it more fun and more realistic a suggestion plasmatech/pyrotech use of ion pulse, fire pulse, Incendiary round finishes the cooldown of full auto this can only occur once every 6 seconds. This would give these classes their range back and they would no longer look/be gimped all-around when compared to other melee / ranged classes / specializations. It would give them a more realistic use for their weapon when they are forced out to range or cant close the gap to melee battle as easily. Also ppl that think this would be overpowered, just look at sage/sorcerer + a tank with guard on them. DPS is next to impossible to kill them even with 2 - 3 dps focus firing so start improving classes instead of nerfing them to boringness dps needs to be brought up on these classes to compete. also make pve more challenging so the dps can be brought up and people can actually get good at the game. This game is a little lacking for players especially the closest class that imperial trooper armor is designed for, operatives, snipers, since 1 uses blaster rifles and 1 uses sniper rifles along with a knife more adaptive imperial trooper armor would go well especially on an Imperial Agent since they use the weapons most Imperial Troopers use. Not to say this armor shouldn't be available for all classes if the developers put it in I hope its adaptive and quite accessible like the other imperial trooper armors (also adaptive) so everyone can use them. Another thing to note on the Imperial side the Soldier themed armor really is lacking (not enough available). So far when compared to Republic or Star Wars Galaxies Galactic Empire side, there is Bko Combustion which is like Scout Trooper armor only black similar to SWG Scout Trooper armor and republic armor with the recon head. (that looks like galactic empire scout trooper helmet) Then there is Makeb armor available on Makeb reputation vendor (forgot the exact name but some vendor) which is Imperial Trooper armor only white with a different helmet, then there is Volatile Shock Trooper armor which is an Imperial Trooper armor variant that is grey with no Sith Empire insignia. Then finally there is the Collectors Edition Vendor which houses the Imperial Trooper armor that u see on the intro videos of the game, Probably the best 1 available. But still, more is needed and more accessible than 200+ bucks to get some. My point is seeing how Sith Empire is a spin off of Galactic Empire there should definately be more Imperial Trooper armor variants made available for wearing throughout the game. Especially for Imperial Agents / Operatives / Snipers. Since that is THE class to go to for the closest resemblance for a real Imperial Soldier, the only reason you may not see this is cause the armor isn't readily available, more needs to be in the game and readily available like some officer uniforms for Imperial Agent / Operative / Sniper. Should be easy enough for the developers when they get enough time. Numerous and countless numbers of Imperial Trooper armor seen on various npcs on the republic and Imperial story lines are already available and programmed into the game, they just need to be craftable for armormech or put into the cartel market. All of them should be added to the game as adaptive through armormech, or cartel market, if the developers have no better ideas. Would definately increase the amount of Imperial Agent / Operative / Sniper players in the game since they would finally have real armor to wear as opposed to just the clothing that imperial officers have. Not saying that's bad but just saying Imperial Agent really does fall under the category of Imperial Officer uniforms and Imperial Soldier uniforms. While all the other Imperial classes would make a close 2nd , 3rd, etc. (and also Imperial agent is lacking good armors at the moment). While you could look at Smuggler on the Republic side since they made a lot of Republic Soldier armors adaptive now smugglers / scoundrel / gunslinger that use pistols can finally wear trooper armor over there so even they look sweet. Its just Imperial Agent / Operative / Sniper that is lacking now when it comes to armor. You can wear Bounty Hunter armor with Agent since some are now adaptive so you can look cool sporting a rifle or sniper rifle with BH armor so that's pretty cool. But my main point is more Imperial Trooper armor needs to be readily available for the Imperial side like how trooper armor is available on the republic side. trooper armor is practically non existent on the imperial side. So developers, please make it happen, this is sorely needed and I'm sure turns a lot of new players off of Imperial Agent since there isn't much Officer / Soldier uniforms for the agent. which is the closest class that would use those types of outfits.   20. Really? that sounds sweet. I hope its true right now the flame attacks in this game are a little depressing, expescially when compared to Star Wars Galaxies numerous balance pass flamethrowers over its years.
  21. Devs / playerbase what do u think of a real handheld flamethrower for Plasmatech & Pyrotech so those specs are less underpowered? I mean the devs could do another pass on the classes some day so im putting this up here for ideas. It could be a weapon exclusive for the specialization like if the devs make the class specs more in depth down the line. Or to start, just add in a handheld (better) flamethrower for these specs so they are less lame and less broken. Star Wars Galaxies had this in Pre Combat Upgrade, Combat Upgrade, and New Game Enhancements (New Game Experience?) NGE. It could be an option as a weapon choice for the specs, just a thought. What do u guys think?
  22. Devs any chance you can add more Imperial trooper armor into the game for imperial agents like how it is for bounty hunter and republic trooper? I know of the current imperial trooper armors in the game while those are nice additions I and many others feel more imperial trooper armor is needed in the game useable on players. A good start would be to add the armours into the game as seen on various imperial trooper npcs throughout the republic trooper storyline and regular galaxy static imperial trooper npcs examples: this 1 looks pretty good and would be a nice addition to the game (plz no one say its makeb armor i know what it is and its not useable by players, plz dont troll the thread) http://oi48.tinypic.com/333zio1.jpg The Hoth Imperial trooper armor looks pretty cool as well, i know collectors edition imp troop armor can wear a white and grey dye but this one looks substantially better and should be added to the game http://grab.by/zFhI plz devs plz add these in when you get time they would make a great addition to the game! also accessibility would be nice too so more imperial agents can be seen running around thx.
  23. bah a class with a ranged weapon like a blaster rifle or pistol is no 'melee class' even if the devs say so, or do so, and since they did, their design is flawed, not to flame just putting it blatantly. since this game already has melee classes that carry melee weapons the class with the rifles and pistols should either be full ranged or semi - ranged like before if i wanted to melee i would play a melee class now its restricted to commando / gunslinger / mercenary / sniper if u want decent range. i liked how vanguard was flexible like that where u had decent moves at range since you were carrying a rifle and had decent powerful shorter range moves that draw more power. whats next are the devs gonna make snipe on operative 10m from 30m as well? lol. seriously devs sorcerer / sage is whats overpowered not powertech / vanguard. but since you went ahead and did nerf vanguard / powertech im waiting for the sorcerer / sage nerf. and not just to healing either.
