I can't really speak for the PvE scene as I haven't raided since pre 2.0 As far as 55 PvP goes it relatively balanced for both factions for most hours of the day. We have a few Decent PvP guilds floating about and they que up pretty often. Most other decent PvPers are split through out several other guilds. Ranked is all but dead and trying to organise it, well I'd rather hack at my wrists with a butter knife tbh. Overall its pretty casual and you'll always get your occasional derps and trolls but they get put back in their place pretty quick

Please tell me more about le skill cap. Anni Mara's you don't have in ranked, period. Granted carnage requires a lot of skill to play effectively but the tools available to them far outweigh most other classes and has the highest burst capability. Deception is the next in line for burst and when coordinated with CC of other players and focus fire the targeted person is going to die. Add stealth and the few other tools they have and they aren't an overly hard class to play. Now go play an Arsenal merc in ranked arenas. Outside of your 2 insta casts a well coordinated team will focus and interrupt you until your dead. Pyro is a little better but harder to play well as you need to know how to kite effectively (which seems to be lacking a lot these days). I won't go into sorcs but they are in the same boat. Both classes have a higher skill cap in endgame pvp, period.

This. Since the acid isn't completely uniform and doesn't remain behind after its passed over an area, a well timed phase walk could potentially teleport the sin out of the acid ring thus remaining untouched by the acid. Its just a theory but it does make sense in a strange way

They are. Camelot Unchained is under development as it hit its Kickstart mark last year I think? It is being run by the same developer (Mark Jacobs) so it should be awesome. Going back to the roots of tri-realm RvR and hopefully they should hit the nail on the head

I started MMO's back with UO as well and this is one of the those debates as to whose is better than whose. It all a matter of opinion in the end. Personally if you want real pvp then you can't go past DAOC, for me that is true pvp but again that is just my opinion. DAOC still is awesome and can't wait for Camelot Unchained

I did that today whilst guarding a node and realised that my UI was bugged and that fact that it was imp v imp it was impractical to call out (although thinking about I should of anyway). The node got capped but luckily we came out on top with some very good coordination for regs. So yeah this one I will stress check your chat and UI before the match begins

Most matches I play I will tell my team to stay off the catwalks and hide behind the shield/barrier on the right. I've found if I wait for the other team to engage you on that map you will end up winning (dependent on class balance, skill, etc.). However if you do go up onto the catwalks stay either behind the railing or stay in the corner. The railings seem to prevent pulls and KB's, on the odd occasion they haven't but its only a very small percentage. Before the match starts just say to your team 'I want to stay down below that way I can heal you effectively'. Most people with a brain between their ears will listen to their healer

Ok OP if I am to take you seriously then here is what I offer. In your post you mention minority or perhaps a percentage if you will. The small percentage of good players enjoy their guild vs guild matches and rightly so, they are paying subscribers so they can do as they please. Here's the catch. The good players or even the great players of this game rarely post on these forums. Yes good players do post on here quite often but that is only sc****** the surface. What I'm getting at is that you are equating that the QQ on the forums directly relate to the top tier pvp guilds and how they feel about the state of pvp. Well I'm here to tell you that your wrong. Most of the QQ comes from the players who know nothing about their class or their own capabilities. I think you'll find that the top pvp guilds rarely QQ on these forums as they know what is broken so thus they avoid it in game rather than coming on here and crying about it as they know it will make no difference. It all comes from some poor little attention starved 13 year old that thinks his lolsmashing Mara should one shot someone on the other side of the map with no LoS performing a backflip whilst clicking and keyboard turning. At the end of the day people enjoy pvp in different ways and they are free to do so

Out of all the servers I've been on aand transferred to The Bastion wins hands down, better crowd over there as well tbh. As was previously mentioned imbalance in pvp is usually a time thing as people finish work, school etc at different times not to mention timezones as well, but all in all The Bastion is mostly even throughout the day.

I only play Combat now as I do prefer a challenge rather than just lol derp smash. I've found that in arena's having a 'good' Combat Sent is extremely valuable. My ability to lock down one person for as long as I wish is awesome, usually ends up being the healer. Its a spec that requires finesse and a lot of situational awareness but as they say practice makes perfect.
