  1. I like Corso, he reminds me of myself back in the day (not just so...penetrant...). While he annoyed me with his "We can't kill women, I don't care if they tried to kill us first!" thing on my male smuggler, I tried the romance with my fem smuggler. I get why many people think he is a creepy stalker, because he is, kind of, but I think it got better with the time. (atleast if you romance him). Corso seems to be one of those companions you either hate or love.
  2. I rather have a rakghoul on my ship than Skadge.
  3. 1. Fly to Taris 2. Throw Skadge into a rakghoul den 3. ??? 4. Profit
  4. http://www.directupload.net/file/d/4277/7up7tc2g_png.htm My newest mandalorian
  5. This right here. While gameplay wise we can only take one companion with us, in canon we are still the commander of Havoc Squad. A squad full with the best troopers of the republic. Could the trooper, be it a rifle wielding Vanguard or the heavy gunner Commando, defeat a Sith one on one? Unless it's an lowly acolyte or an apprentice, most likely no. Could Havoc Squad handle a sith or dark jedi or whatever? They would most likely still have problems, but it would be manageble
  6. Well it's the way of the Jedi. They are the "good" guys and killing is the last option. They don't want to kill. With the Sith, well most of them are arrogant and think that Non Force Users are beneath them. Many will not use the full potential they have because of that. A smart enemy will use this arrogance against them. So, could the Trooper defeat a Sith? Depends, if you ask me. From dialogue we can hear, that republic troops, or atleast special forces, are "trained to kill Sith". In the game, they live in an age where Sith and Jedi are not really rare, so they could train the "basics" for a fight against Force Users. But not every Sith is the same. An acolyte or an apprentice will be much easier to kill, than a lord for example. It also depends on the situation, equipment and if the trooper is prepared for it or not. In the end, I would say: Yes a trooper can kill a Sith, most likely something like an acolyte or an apprentice, with luck even a lord. But a Darth? Nope.
  7. Well the empire has one simple goal: They want to crush the republics hope. On the republic side you can hear that one of the reasons for the rebuilding of Taris is to show that the republic does not give up, and that everything the Sith destroyed, can be rebuild. If the republic would make it, it would boost the morale in the republic. So the Empire decides to crush the Republic's dreams by destroying all their effort, slaughtering the settlers, infect republic troops with the rakghoul plague and so on. But is it worth it? Well for the Sith yes, but I think it's a waste of military ressources. Bombarding it from orbit, like Malak did, would be more effective, I guess. (sorry for mistakes, english is not my first language)
  8. Well looking at the armor the trooper get I would say: Clone Troopers (most likely Clones like Commander Cody, Captain Rex or even ne ARC Troopers) and Stormtroopers. Simply put: The cannon fodder just in "cool"
  9. Well I could say, during the time of the movies, there aren't as many jedi/sith as in TOR. More of them = more "trash" Jedi/Sith that loose to infantry/bounty hunters/smugglers or Agents. And by no means, I don't think that any force user player has to compensate something with the "I have force, I'am gawd" talk. But it annoys me how it's just "Non Force users have plot armor, they can't do ****" when the force users have plot armor too. I mean who would want a hero that dies instantly when facing someone that wields the force? That's what the stories about, about being the hero, every class in it's own way. (well except for smuggler and bounty hunter maybe) But I must say, I think the smuggler could kill a sith/jedi. The trooper and agent have traing and special weapons, while the bounty hunter (if you joined the mandalorians) has mandalorian armor and the newest stuff for these armors. But back to the real topic: Something that will most likely not happen: More Class specific content. Whil I like the KotFE Storyline, it just felt wrong playing anything non force related. Let the trooper capture enemy generals or storm fortresses, let the bounty hunter hunt again and I don't know what.
  10. I never said that they couldkill the Inquisitor, Warrior, Knight or Consular. They are the Mary Sues of their orders. (just like the non force using classes), of course no one can beat them. I just meant, that it's stupid that people, who don't want to be a jedi or sith should be "punished" for it by getting a harder experience. And the non force users can still take on sith/jedi. Not the best of the best of course, no trooper would be able to shoot the emperor to face or something like that. But many force user players act like the non force users did nothing to get where they are now.
  11. And here we have Force user players that need to compensate for something. "Boohoo non force using classes should have it harder or we are not special anymore boohoo" Seriosly, that's it. Yes the force user classes are "the best of the best". But they aren't gods that can't be killed. TOR play in an era, where force users are very common, you know the typical line "We were trained to kill sith!" and stuff. Could the non force users fight the emperor or Arcann? No, surely not. But they can still fight force users. The BH killed the damn Jedi Battlemaster. Not just any master, the battle master. Seriously, why are the force user players in these forums such *****? "The don't have lightsabers, they shouldn't have it as easy!"
  12. Hey, the relationship between my 65 years old Darth Satanilus and the 20 year old Ashara is not creepy! It's true love I tell you! As a guy who was exactly like that character...Corso Riggs. I thought I was creepy back in the day, but the romance with Corso gave Vietnam flashbacks. I'm sure he stares at my smuggler while she is sleeping o.o
  13. Run and Gun my way through the Eternal Empires forces with my Vanguard, then slaughter my way through them with my Juggernaut. After that...my other characters will follow and then I will use the Level Sync thing to help out my friends that are going to start the game and will farm some money.
  14. Well a name I actually use on the german RP Server... Darth Satanilus
  15. I guess he means Balmorra, which had to be abandoned by both the jedi order and the republic. Balmorrans tell you that like a 100 times when you get there as a republic player "You abandoned us! The empire killed my cousin because you weren't there" (just an example) Thats the only planet in SWTOR I could think of, that was abandoned by the republic and can be visited.
  16. Well Var Suthra didn't know that Tarnis was a sith. Tarnis, who stole the weapons and gave them to Angral, played a scientist for the republic, until Var Suthra trusted him. While yes, Var Suthra is anything but a perfect general, he did it to save what he believed in. The Sacking of Coruscant "scarred" him. That his lead scientist is a Sith well...bad luck Var Suthra I guess
  17. The Keeper said it "This is not glorious work, we clean up after the Sith and the Military" And the Republic Characters? "OH NOEZ SOME BAD IMPERIAL DUDE COULD BRING ZE REPUBLIC TO IT'S KNEES, KILL/DEFEAT HIM FOR THE STUPID WARMONGER....uhhh CHANCELLOR!!!!11111one" See? The Jedi both fight a powerful force user to rescue the republic, the trooper fights a general to save the republic, only the smuggler could "turn" against the republic in his ending. You say the empire stories are all the same, well yes, the same goes for the republic stories. And I rather have "I started from the bottom..." like the inquisitor than the "OMG YOU ARE HERO!!!!" story of the jedi knight
  18. Yea no. While that is true for the Sith classes, the bounty hunter and imperial agent are not about "vanquishing your superior" Bounty Hunter (Spoiler for Bounty Hunter Story) Imperial Agent (Spoiler for IA Story, do not read if you don't want to get it spoiled) But yes it's all about "vanquishing your superiors" So, On Topic: No, the empire is not good. But that's the reason why so many players play it, I guess. You can be the bad guy without facing real consequences. As a Sith you can kill an incompetent officer just for the fun of it. You can do, what you could never do in real life: Being bad.
  19. Well, while I don't know if it syncs out after Tython (sorry), I can say that the Consular gets much less EXP for its first Class Quest than every other class. All the other classes get thousands of EXP with 12x EXP for their first class mission alone, the consular? 1200 or something like this, barely made it from Level 3 to 4 with it. And sorry for bad english lol
  20. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalore_the_Vindicated The Source from Wookiepedia is the Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia
  21. One of my alltime favourite is from the smuggler on Coruscant: "Is that a hairstyle or did a womp rat die on your head?"
  22. Well Tavus says the "Every Havoc Squad victory fires up the hope of the people" (or something like that) Simply said: They are the best Squad of the Republic Army. Every victory they get, fires up the hope of other soldiers and most likely citizens of the republic: Yes, against planets they are insignificant and they won't hold the republic together, but they fire up the hope of the people so = Nice Propaganda tool
  23. So first I say sorry, because my english is not that good (or how we would say in germany, badly translated into english: "My english is not the yellow of the egg") Name: Glukho Species: Sith Pureblood/Cyborg Age: 29 Years old Hair Color: / (he is bald since his accident) Eye Color: Red Height: 1,85 Meters Homeworld: Before it's destruction, Ziost. Now, Dromund Kaas Class: Sith Marauder Titles: Lord, Enforcer of the Triumvirate Guild: Translated, The Sith Triumvirate. Original name, Das Sith Triumvirat (german guild) Nickname: The monster of Taris Weapon(s) of Choice: 2 Lightsabers with black-purple color crystals Armor: Enhanced Assailant (used as a Vader like Suit that keeps him alive/helps him healing) Special Events in his life: The Duel on Taris: Glukho hunted down the Zabrak Jedi Knight Kenzera on the planet Taris. The duel started in the ChemWorks, near the Brell Sediment. The duel ended after the Jedi destroyed the catwalk under Glukho's feet. He fell into a vats of acid like chemicals. The Recreation: After the duel on Taris, the Sith somehow managed to survive and crawled out of the building, where he was found by a group of imperial soldiers. He was handed over to the Triumvirate, where he was turned into a cyborg, so he would survive. Shortly after he became a Lord of the Sith. The Duel at Axial Park: During the battle of Corellia, Glukho was one of the many Imperials that fought at Axial Park. Spies of the Triumvirate told him, that the Jedi, that turned him into "the monster of taris", was in a hotel nearby. With the order from his master, he grabbed a squad of Mandalorians that worked with them and began the attack. While the Mandalorians fought against the SpecForce soldiers of the republic, searched Glukho for the Jedi. He found him on the roof of the Hotel, where he was watching over the battle. The Jedi told him that he was now a Jedi Master and that Glukho would have no chance against him. The Duel ended when the Jedi was thrown of the building thanks to a kick from Glukho. Personality: Glukho was a nice (as nice as a Sith can get) person, who loved a fair fight and had, most of the time, respect for his enemies. That changed after the accident on Taris. Now, filled with rage and alway in pain, he had no more respect, he didn't care about a fair and honorable fight, all he wanted was destroying his enemies. He only trusts the people that fight for the Triumvirate and sees imperial troops as cannon fodder. Weakness (because, I don't want a mary sue like character) : His Rage can be his greatest strength, but most of the time, it's a weakness. In blind rage, he loses any caution, goes into the full offensive, but forgets his defense. A skilled Jedi/Sith, or even a non force user that acts from the shadows (a sniper, for example) could easily get him while he is raging. Also, even after almost 2 years, he is still in pain from the wounds he got on Taris. They only heal slowly and sometime the pain gets so intense, that he will collapse. His suit, while it gives him strength and helps him with the healing, can be his downfall. If someone manages to damage it to much, the life systems will fail and Glukho will die slow and painfully, when no one has the chance to get him back into a medbay. Once again: Sorry for my bad english. Never wrote something like this in english
  24. Well all class heros are the "UBERMENSCH" version of the class they represent. While they are certainly no match for the Emperor or maybe even the force user classes, the non-force users are still a force to be reckoned with. While they don't have the force, they have advanced technologies, heavy armors (in case of the trooper and bounty hunter, the BH can even get mandalorian armor) and know how to use it. So I think, to a certian point, they could be the outlander, but when it comes to fighting Valkorion...yea thats more likely a jedi/sith thing.
