  1. Yeah, you can definitely do that. (I'm glad you customized it to suit your needs better, this guide is meant to be more of a guideline than gospel.) There actually is a reason why this rotation doesn't use Sucker Punch/Lacerate as the 8th ability in the 3rd rotation. This is so we can start rotation 1 with an upper hand/tactical advantage. If you start rotation 1 with 0 upper hand, then you'll have to use a filler for the 2nd ability in the second rotation. So in favor of a static rotation, I hold off using sucker punch in the 8th spot in the 3rd rotation. Both rotations will actually have the same amount of sucker punches over the course of a fight. Do you mind telling me what gear you are wearing? In full 186 comm gear, 180 set bonuses, a 192 offhand, and 180 mainhand, I was able to consistently hit 3.9k and breaking 4k in about 25% of my parses.
  2. Just an update for you guys: I'll be traveling through MLK day, so I apologize in advance for the lack of updates until then.
  3. Also, thinking of adding a gearing section, since it appears that scrapper will need more crit than ruffian.... Anyone interested in this?
  4. Yeah since I'm not sure how the set bonus works exactly, I'm going to leave it the way it is for now. Once I figure it out, I'll make any changes necessary.
  5. This thread was host to many a rotation analysis in the past, and given that it is dead due to torparse being down, was hoping to throw a battle rez down to get some sort of conversation going again.
  6. Yes, that is a very good point, updating in OP. I'm pretty sure you meant to say this the other way around, why do i use Blood Boiler before Bludgeon in the first rotation? This is actually in there because I don't have the set bonus that gives the auto crit yet, so I don't know exactly how it works. Maybe someone can shed some light on this. Blood Boiler gets an auto crit after using bludgeon, once per minute. The very first blood boiler in the opener doesn't actually deal damage until about 1.5 seconds after you use bludgeon, so will the blood boiler receive the auto crit proc, or will it be applied to your next blood boiler that is activated after your bludgeon deals damage?
  7. That's the great thing about playing games, everyone has their own likes and dislikes and is entitled to their opinion. <3
  8. So you guys should check out my updated scrapper guide since we can't parse and see where it can be improved Scrapper 3.0 Rotation (No Vital Shot)
  9. Apparently their facebook page says they'll be back online this weekend.
  10. Slaffen - 4 minutes 2.526 seconds - 4123.27 dps Parse AMR Profile Got the offhand barrel.
  11. Added an average damage per hit swap for your analysis. Average Damage per Hit Swap - Craeg and Slaffen This basically shows that if you used the rotation in the op, while keeping the exact same damage values from your parse (identical crit rates, vs procs, etc.) that you could have squeezed an additional ~40 more dps out of your parse.
  12. Torparse seems to be doing better for the time being.
  13. So torparse seems to be working a bit faster for the time being. Looked at our leaderboard parses, and made the following spreadsheet to show the average time between hits. Spreadsheet As you can see, my rotation missed out on 25 ticks of vital shot (roughly 3 activations, which is to be expected), but also, despite being 2 seconds shorter, uses more Sucker punches, blaster whips, and backblasts. Also, my rotation uses less flurry of bolts.
  14. Thanks for catching this, we changed our url recently >.< Updated.
  15. Kinda mad I didn't get this done pre-offhand, but alas... a 4k scoundrel parse. Parse 23:35:53.097 Slaffen enters combat. 23:42:03.255 Slaffen kills Operations Training Dummy. 06min10.158sec = 4052.32 dps I realize this probably wont be up for a while as torparse is still running on a 28.8k modem...
  16. Yeah did the same math when I first looked at the rotation, it really looks through the anecdotal evidence in this thread that there isn't really a way to keep 100% up time on VS without sacrificing something else. So it basically comes down to which you prefer for your play style. Personally I've had more luck with the rotation in my original post, but both are viable ways to play a scoundrel. (except for the energy negative best of both worlds rotation)
  17. I wonder how much longer torparse is going to be out of order, nothing more frustrating than waiting 20 minutes for a page to load only to have it time out when all is said and done.
  18. Yeah, I tried to compare our 2 leaderboard parses, since it looks like we have comparable gear (unless you start getting a lot of NiM gear), but they were loading way to slow and I gave up. The numbers I'm interested in are the time between activations of BB, BW, and SP, because that will be the definitive answer on which rotation uses them the most frequently.
  19. Just to add some points from the other side of the fence... Sure there was some banter back and forth, but we didn't have any issues with people healing the commander. The thing that did get us a little riled up, was when the group defending the commander had people switch to their republic characters and start taunting him away so that he would get reset. Don't try to say you were trying to taunt him back into the pvp area, because that is not what happened. He was being taunted away from the pvp area. The part where we had 16 freedom warriors going up against the commander, his adds, and 5 flagged imp healers, (with an additional 2 or 3 that weren't flagged) was probably the most fun I've had since I started playing this game. Then once it turned into a group of maybe 15-16, sure, we called in a favor from <Republic>, who wouldn't at that point? Adexi knew what we were asking when she agreed to come, and no that didn't include our raid group flagging. Also, we weren't with RHG's group, so don't try to act like it was something out of 300. It played out as: 1. You guys healed the boss. 2. We fought for an hour. 3. More Imperials showed up. 4. Reinforcements arrived for the Republic. 5. The Imperials won the battle. 6. We still got our framework, and many more. TL--DR - Keep healing the bosses, that was fun for us. Just don't be ***** and try to reset the boss.
  20. The problem with the rotation, even if waiting for the last second to activate BB, is that the BW - SP - BB - VS - BW - SP - SP portion would get you into the slow regen portion of your energy bar. The problem with disregarding energy issues when comparing rotations is that issue is probably the most important factor.. Take your normal rotation and replace FB with quick shot and sabotage charge when its off cd and you'll do a lot of damage, for a small amount of time.
  21. Yeah that was the reasoning behind this rotation. I calculated time between activations of some of the top parses on the various leaderboards, and haven't found a rotation that has more uses of bw, bb, and sp with regard to time.
  22. Doesn't that have 24 seconds between applications of vital shot just like my rotation? Yeah the second rotation is too energy intensive to stay in the maximum regen area of your energy bar over the course of a fight, doesn't have enough flurry of bolts.
  23. And I thought everyone left for the harbinger
