Well, since they did the exact same thing for Niko ... Niko you could claim and summon, but once you got to the point in the story where you had to interact/quest with/for him, he poofed and you had to finish the quest to get him back. So yeah, based on story triggers you may see a companion poof during a quest duration, which DOES make sense, but in all the rest should be okay. I have yet to log in as I have been off for a few days (been modding for FS15 LOL) but this does sound like they installed the same system for all companions.

Yup. That many pages of players who absolutely did not read a bloody thing and are trying to claim they did. Actually - just a thought - you are on a pre-made consular, right? Not an instant 60? I am unsure if instant 60's have the same access as pre-mades. By pre-made, I mean made from level 1 and played through, not a 60 from the cartel market or the free 60 we get.

Well even with the companion mess I did start it and got a few characters through it, and I did enjoy it. But doing so I can clarify a couple things for you guys to make a decision: _ GEAR - I put my companion's 192 gear on my character and wore it all the way to the end. NONE of the gear attainable from the xpac is better than 192 gear. Even at 65 and being on the last planet, the gear rewards i got were all red stats compared to my companion's 192 gear from the Yavin weeklies. So if you are leveling in hopes of awesome crazy new gear - not happening - at least not YET - until a future chapter at least. COMPANION LEGACY UNLOCKS FOR PRESENCE - If you want the most out of your companions, you want to do these unlocks BEFORE you start KotFE. Otherwise you will have to roll a new character to work on those affections, as those unlocks are based on the CONVERSATION chain, NOT affection level. Once you start KotFE, you can NOT finish the conversation chain, even after you get the companion back through re-recruitment. It also confirms this via a pop-up box that warns you before starting KotFE. and they make it clear that once you start, you cannot go back to do companion quests or finish their conversation chain. So what are the PROS to starting KotFE? _ REALLY funny storyline - I absolutely love the story. It had me laughing all the way through. It has serious parts, too, but ... aw hell I can;t say why without spoilers, but - yeah it was worth it for me at least - AS LONG AS I finished my companion quests before starting. All kinds of NEW companions. When I finished KotFE, between "Other Followers" and "Main Characters", I currently have 13 companions I can summon at any time. If they fix this terminal and allow classic companions back, that's 19 companions, considering none of my current companions were from my current class. So, yeah I can only find 2 against and 2 for as far as pros and cons that affected me at least, so it is easy to be on the fence about going through with ALL of my characters. My first character through was my free level 60, so it never really hit me about not having access to old companions until my second character. And as for romances - i HOPE that BW didn't screw those up for us: NOTE: Spoiler tag is REALLY a spoiler. Do not click if you don't want actual spoilers about romances with current companions. ~crosses fingers that there is nothing to be read into there in the spoiler~

Okay it was very simple. To qualify, you had to be subbed on the 4 days that you got rewards for. And it didn't even have to be all day on those days, either. You just had to be subbed at 11:59 PM PDT on each of those days. As i said before, my friend and I knew this so he didn't stress when his sub ran out for a bit. he just made sure to re-sub before the next reward day and he got his early access. And, yes, this WAS clarified. Some useful tools are watching live streams, reading the forums, and - oh I dunno - reading your email. I've noticed that responses to and discussion in those threads tend to be more mature than the troll threads started elsewhere.

On this I totally agree. Dulfy kicks ***, but we shouldn't have to rely on 3rd party peer volunteers to get info verified.

Well fortunately we do NOT have to PvP after all to get Pierce/M14X if we are a warrior/trooper. You ONLY have to PvP if you want those companions on ANOTHER class. I am presuming it will be the same for the others as well - if they are your class, you get them - if not, then you have to jump through hoops for them. I am totally okay with all this I just hope our romanced female companions become available in the next chapter.

Okay? Well then hopefully they will clarify. To me, "outside the story-line" means you aren't in the story-line. I had all my companions when I started early access. I was outside the story. I had access to them. Then I started the story - this puts me in the story-line - and thus my companions changed. Now as the story progresses, I will hopefully be able to recruit new companions. We'll know in a few hours, as they are patching some hot-fixes. Will companions be available via this access terminal? Will we have to wait and earn them back by finishing the story we started? It looks like we're about to know really quick

Actually .. I managed to recruit back Yuun, Xalek, Talos - and all three I was able to clothe how I wished. It appears to just be NEW companions that cannot wear clothes for fashion. I am unsure if this is by design or if it is work in progress, but the classic companions CAN be geared for fashion.

I JUST got the achievement tonight that he is referring to, and it is apparently account wide so I don't have to worry about that any more
