  1. I went with Sith and it worked for me: (1) It never occured to me that being a slave was a matter of race, but rather economic position. You know, like the ancient greeks and romans did? Sith family down on their luck can't afford to feed their new baby girl, so sells her into slavery. Or maybe a captured child from some skirmish like north american natives did. Or maybe my girl was the child of parents who were executed for some horrendous crime against the empire. So I had no problem with a person from the once revered race finding herself in slavery. (2) Sith are force sensative by nature/breeding, right? So it makes sense that one found in slavery would be strong in the force. Might even explain how she was "discovered", too. "Hey, look at that red slave, I wonder if she's force sensative." (3) Being a pureblood really played into a lot of the storyline on Korriban, too. There are a lot of "looking down my nose" options in dealing with Harkan and there's a whole non-class-specific "find the pureblood" quest to find the pureblood percentage. Pureblood Inquisitors make more sense to me than pureblood warriors, because they're that much more into the mysteries of the force. More research than revenge. More zappy zappy than slashy slashy. But, to each their own.
  2. Haha, love it! I am not a lesbian IRL (just an old married guy), but thought my jedi girl would make a great same-sex couple with Kira. There seems to be a chemistry there. Out for quest or three, go for a round of golf and drinks after... retire back on the ship for some romance. Sounds like a great time. (Forgive the joke about golf, couldn't resist. I know not all lesbians play golf... some play hockey. ) I was totally bummed to find out Archebald (!!) was my only option. Meh, I made lemonade from lemons and gave him a squeeze. He's a jerk so I don't mind jerking him around. If they rewrite this, though, I'll dump doc and see if Kira will give it a go. She already lets me dress her and calls me boss, I figure she's one force-persuade from being into it.
  3. I only just started noticing this, but I seem to always get 1 fewer points with Khem Val than I’m supposed to for completing a quest. When the npc/quest-giver dialogue shows I will gain 17 affection, I only get 16 upon quest completion. No matter how many points I’m supposed to get, I always get 1 fewer. If I’m to gain 77, I only get 76. I “purchased” the legacy bonus to increase affection gain from completing quests by 30%. Thirty percent of the base 17 affection is 5.1. You would expect to get 22 affection, right? I only get 19. Best I can understand is it calculates 10% of the base 17 affection and rounds down. Do that 3 times and I should get 20 affection. But I only get 19. How weird is that? Meh, Khem’s a bit of a jerk anyway. I'll probably sacrifice him in the next dark ritual I find, or inprison hiim back on Korriban. In the mean time, I took away his customization so he's stuck in his naked white skin. Take that, affection hold-out!
  4. I was puzzled by that too... not because I had read any novels (too busy gaming) but because Scourge had already broken free from the Emperor's will to be able to plot against him and join me. For that matter, so had the rest of my crew, Kirin twice. The Emperor was supposed to be in a weakened state, right? Seems my peeps should have been able to resist the Emperor. If Doc was able to make it far enough into the temple to get cornered in the barracks, couldn't he have joined me up to that point? How was he able to resist the Emperor that much when my force-weilding friends couldn't? Meh, whatever... Who am I to argue with midichlorians and destiny. Come along trash can, we have a bad guy to humiliate.
  5. Or just maybe given a hearty congratulatory pat on the back for coming up with a mechanic that adds a fun challenge to an already epic moment. Approach the fight like you have all the answers, you're frustraited. Approach the fight like it's doable and the answer merely alludes temporarily, you'll be challenged and enjoy it. I don't want to get all yoda on you, but in impatience there is only fail.
  6. Loved the final act!! No, really, I thought it was the best part of the whole storyline. I finally felt my knight had a purpose instead of merely investigating some ominous dark thing in the corners of an unending maze planet. Sorry, original poster, I have no sympathy for you. Personally, I wanted to bring Scourge. I loved the idea of him to fight his one-time master (how deliciously Sith!!) and was surprised I had to bring my undergeared trash can. But, it did make sense story-wise so I pitied my poor droid for the many deaths he was about to face and made the best of it. In general, this game punishes ritalin junkies for rushing through content and racing to the finish line. I like that. Read the dialogue, follow the story-line, enjoy the game. Did you have it all figured out? Did you expect one solution to solve all problems? Hmmm... If the developers found a way to surprise you while also staying within their story-line context, then good for them and good for you. Enjoy. Well done, Bioware, well done. I hope the next character's storyline lives up to this one.
