  1. This is a friendly warning to anybody interested in purchasing a Level 60 / 65 character token from the Cartel Market. I do not know if this extends beyond just tokens, however I can only go based on personal experience here. I purchased a token yesterday evening. The token did not show up in my Unclaimed Items, nor did it show up in any of my characters' inventories. I also went to the character selection screen and no tokens were available for use there. My ledger showed that the 2000 coins were extracted from my account, and my balance remains the same way as it was post-purchase, which means no problems have been detected automatically and no coin refunds issued (Not that I'd really know how automated any of that is if at all) In any case, I realize that this issue may not be constant, and you'll have to decide for yourself whether you want to take a risk. People will probably chime in here saying they purchased a token just fine ever since my problem happened. All I can do is throw out there that I'm having this issue, and save people from potentially flushing coins (and possibly additional real cash) down the toilet. May the schwartz be with you.
  2. Just so you know, I don't have a Twitter account. I just type: "SWTOR Twitter" into google, click the first link, and am immediately presented with their most recent post. It really only takes me around 10 seconds every time. Now whether I agree or not with having to do that is an entirely different story, but I'm merely pointing out that you don't HAVE to sign up for anything, and it is actually a pretty painless process. All I will say now is that If something were to happen to the SWTOR website, and for whatever reason I couldn't access the forums or anything anymore, Twitter would help them not completely lose contact with us.
  3. Their most recent Twitter post says they're working on it with no ETA.
  4. I posted that to show that there was a warning, and I meant to immediately follow up with: "Those were the warnings they gave on the forums, but in the game they normally give some sort of notice. I'm surprised with the time they had to warn the forum people three times they didn't warn anybody in the game." Of course I hit reply and forgot to include that, so I posted it AFTER. The point of me posting the replies from the developers was to prove they DID give a warning, but they just didn't do it in a very good way.
  5. What exactly is a "PvE Bad"... ??? Bad at PvE, or bad at the game because you do PvE? :rak_02::rak_02:
  6. I'm assuming the reason they shut down the server without warning is because they made a decision to shut down the server earlier than they originally intended in their final warning on the forums, and maybe because of this, the warning that I think they were probably going to show in the game ended up not showing up, because it was programmed to appear at a later point than they actually ended up shutting Ebon Hawk down.. That's the only explanation I can think of.
  7. Those were the warnings they gave on the forums, but in the game they normally give some sort of notice. I'm surprised with the time they had to warn the forum people three times they didn't warn anybody in the game.
  8. Warning 1: "Hey folks! We are going to bounce The Ebon Hawk in order to address this issue. We're aiming for approximately 1030AM CST, so about 35 minutes from this post. Thanks, Tait" Warning 2: "Just to update this thread as well, we are going to be bouncing The Ebon Hawk in order to address the issue around 1030AM CST, so in about 25 minutes. Thanks!" Warning 3: "Update! We're going to bring the server down before 1030AM so that we can get this taken care of ASAP. It will be unavailable shortly, and I'll post again when I get further updates. -Tait"
