I can speak only for me and my opinion on this matter, but i'm sure some of you would agree, SO I guess that's it. The fact that there is, but getting close to WAS. A real gamer, one that needs real games with real challenges. And when you can earn/get or become just as Geared when you play 3 hours a day as when you do what a dedicated gamer does and play every hours you can spare and even some you can't spare but you do anyways. And when the fact that playing more = You learn more, how to play the class better, rotations, etc etc more or less slowly fade and become less useful ( of course, It still does have advantages to do so but not nearly on the same level as it used to ) In general : Everything becomes FAR less of a challenge because of what you say "gaming has become such a popular hobby" and games get made for every type of player, young players bring revenue to the company so they make it easier to get that generation interested and happy. Based on all that and hundreds of other reasons both more and less important, the era of "real gamers" is close to extinction. Oh and : With time you get more and more features added to a game, and when it comes to the games needed balance it only gets harder. And I would say : Quality before Quantity! You underestimate the power of this game got to play it some hours now, and I am not ashamed to say and thought it would never happen, but when I got to create my first lightsaber I got goose bombs bigger than ******s, every hair stood up and I got a tear in both eyes. It was such an epic moment, so I do not regret buying it

Hey again. I am still waiting for the patching to complete. So in a attempt to make the time fly maby this might do it. We found the missing Revan in my prior post, so I needed something new. I have no Idea where to start, there's just to much to talk about to choose. So I need your help! edit : I got something. The Sith Inquisitor class. I think this is the class I will choose, what can you tell me about it? Will I as a paladin lover in every game like this class? I got the impression that its the closest I can get to a paladin. #letsTalkStarWars!?

Ayo, so I finally got my finger out and bought the game. And while I was setting up my forum profile I got to the avatar selection. I might have missed it even though I was looking over every picture 3 times. But why in gods green heaven can't I have Darth Revan as an avatar? I mean like.. seriously ? Darth Revan is the one and only life form that actually might beat one of the members of the most epic race the Zabrak/Dathomirian. The one and only Darth Maul, in a "Who's the coolest" competition, and that is no easy task. If you ever played Sw: Kotor then you might understand my "frustration" I am happy about my Zabrak avatar, sure. Hello there good sir. It was indeed a "long" read, but I didn't find a single word or sentence that didn't make sense I can relate to just about everything. I started playing wow just a couple of weeks after the release, and played a LOT until a few months after the Cata release. And you are correct, and this is one of the reasons I don't play WoW anymore. But I figured that I need to stop waiting for the moment where my experience while playing is on the same level as back then, all because of what you said. Sure, I can still enjoy a game but there is this sad fact : All the crying from people you are talking about actually affects the games future more or less, patches includes stuff to make "casual gamers" and crying kids get the gear they want by making things easy and so on. Like i said, this is mainly the reason WoW died for me, became to easy. It isn't a challenge anymore, you don't need to know your job and tactics in a raid, if you fail it doesnt matter, faceroll is all you need to know and so on and that isnt only Wow. I have yet to experience swTOR, I was a beta tester but bought the game today. So I hope it gives me some challenge, because thats what MMOS/RPG's is all about for me, work hard and get paid for it, if Sw:tor somewhat fails here the fact that its STAR WARS might actually prevent it from making any difference, but I would like developers Stop listening to the crying kids and stupid people that doesnt understand that they need to actually DO SOMETHING to get somewhere, I think this one of the reasons the "GAMERS" you are looking for is hard to find. I see. Well, all the "cons" are basically something that every major mmo have, more or less. So that was to be expected, I read that people said and Bioware aswell did not hold back on the bragging about how good and how deep they went on stories, so if what they say and if your oppinion is true, thats a good start for me. Oh I forgot to ask. - I would like to have 1 or 2 conversations on Skype with a bunch of people about swtor. Is there any public skype or other chat software ( name those if that's the chase ) conversations that I would be able to join ? Im on Skype all the time, and I enjoy talking to new people so add me if you want my Skype name is on my profile. But make sure you ad something like : Ey, swtor player here.
