  1. I would be pretty surprised if they ever decided to let us swap advanced classes, though many people certainly wish they could -- in particular those with old, rare things no longer in the game or titles that are not easily obtained a second time. We stick with our old mains for the simple fact that it would be a monumental waste of effort to move on now, leaving behind all these rare and interesting things that most players do not possess.
  2. The thing I'm trying to figure out is if rage is capable of keeping pace with anni and carnage in single target PvE now. There are a lot of conflicting reports with nobody putting up actual hard numbers for anyone to sift through. If rage is able to keep up with the other two in single target, its ridiculous AoE winds up being an added bonus on top of something that's already astounding. But if it still lags behind single target? I'll probably wind up as annihilation again.
  3. That's not how balance works.

Yes, yes it is. Classes with no choice other than to DPS should, by all rights, be somewhat ahead of classes that actually have a say in the matter in terms of damage dealing. Logistically, just the presence of three DPS talent trees instead of one or two would assure that anyway. More of a pool to draw from, more ways to combine trees for a greater number of viable results.

As for primary spec, it's been my observation that annihilation seems to out perform carnage on the vast majority of fights. Carnage may (and rightfully should) pull ahead on fights with a lot of movement and target swapping. This is because of annihilation's ramp up time. But if an anni marauder really gets going, it's quite a sight to behold. I watched a group of them tear the Primal Destroyer apart before it even had the chance to really hurt any of them that much.
