I don't remember which thread it was or who said it, but someone once said that originally on the PTS that the shields to the next room in this area didn't always go down and bugged after defeating the cores. These buttons were added to disable the shields in the event that they bugged after killing the cores.

This is exactly it. I only heal and tank and I always ask in guild chat if someone wants to q with me first. To many obnoxious dps that have no clue what they are doing. If your q is taking to long your probably on a lot of ignore lists cause you ninja'd or did something ridiculously stupid. If you wanna decrease your q time be friendly and try to join a guild almost all of the good tanks and healers are in guilds and I bet that most of em are like me and ask guildies first.

Gotta agree with most everyone here. Each fight in this game has parts that are easier for some classes than others. And complaining about one part that is difficult for you is acceptable, but most people I know find shadows OP and that this fight is easier for them. My particular shadow tank thinks the last part is the hardest part. And tbh coming I here and tooting your own horn like that repeatedly isn't helping your case and getting you sympathy.

Yeah right now I only know two people who seem to be affected. Both are sages so assumed it was a sage sorc thing. Luckily I had. Commando with me the first time to do the cleansed for me the other I just went with a good group that dodged so they only wound up with like 3 stacks total each which is easy to heal through.

It is harder for some since the new patch. But it is only cause they broke the cleanse for sage healers on the last fight. Have submitted tickets on this but have gotten no response. Commandos can still cleanse the rakghoul virus during the last fight but sages can't. Not sure if its all of us sages that had it break or just me and the other sage I play with when I tank.

I know this may sound like a dumb question but are you using a shield generator or a focus? Seen lots of guardian tanks using a focus and they died like crazy. I never had any issues pve usually i was two levels behind my. Class quest. Even your final boss is easy still can't believe how easy that was after reading so many people ***** about it. And just for the record I used kira the whole way and T7 still has his starter gear.

There are a few things where you need a main healer like nightmare pilgrim but not much else. And the main healer isn't really a reflection of quality of healer as much as it is a reflection of the class. If you have a mix of healers its better if sages stay on the raids and commandos and scoundrels stay on main tank for fights like this. That doesn't mean don't help each other but the reality is each is good a different things. And some certainly not all fights need that.

The OP seems a bit entitled and thinks that just cause a good guild can pull him through a serious op like that they should want to. I don't think there is any guild out there that would want to do that for him not when there are plenty of other pugs out there that it will be less work on the rest of the team to keep alive. Last night my guild tried finishing an EC HM run with 3 pug dps's. It was a complete waste and we all woulda been better served elsewhere. Granted one of the pugs knew what he was doing and will be welcomed back anytime the other two were clueless despite saying they had done it before. Using aoe's and such on the trandosans while the warrior with the shield is still up instantly killing themselves. Despite being told repeatedly in mumble chat not to do so.

The key here is that you are asking someone who doesn't know you to trust that you know the mechanics of the fights. Fully augmented rakata or black hole is good enough but proves nothing as a pug. Campaign proves you have been there and done it. As an unkown pug you can't be trusted sorry but its true. As an example I have had people show up for nightmare pilgram runs claiming to have downed him before only to die repeatedly cause they didn't use an inhibitor or attacked the dog with bloodmark on them and then yell at a healer for not healing them. That gets you kicked fast and put on a lot of ignore lists. Not saying you don't know the fights and mechanics but how am I supposed to know.

You really need to join a guild. EC hardmode pugs need to be overgeared in order for me to consider bringing them. I will bring an undergeared guildie before a normal geared pug. And that is all due to trust. Last night we had two melee dps pugs who kept breaking the shield generator at the tanks. This resulted in repair bills and wasted time for the rest of us. It was so bad that I as the healer had to take the double destruction to save the rest of us from there stupidity. In the end it was just me and the tank fighting and healing through the double destrucions. If you don't want to join a guild pug nightmare kp and ev a lot if your good eventually someone like myself will notice and add you as a friend for future possible fill one when guildies can't make it.

I hate to agree to this but this is kinda true. Only reason I run story mode anymore is for getting comms or helping guildies. I am currently on day 14 of my ticket with no response.

This seems to happen a lot anymore. Usually 3 people in the group at least don't get it. I am currently waiting on a ticket I submitted to be resolved and have been waiting for 7 days so good luck. Also I have heard it helps if you write the other members of you group on the ticket and the time completed.

Gtn armor is pretty crappy unless you are paying an extremely ridiculous price for it. Out of curiosity which server are you on if you are on mine I can take a look. If you are a fresh 50 get your free recruit gear. Then work on your columi. After that get your rakata then campaign. If you do not know where to get these you must have really crappy gear and need help.

Maybe I am in the minority here but I do not think the idiots are the ones not trying to skip every battle. If I don't have time to do a FP I don't no one period. What I can't stand when healing is guys who think they are god and survive anything. If your dps on most boss fights it is extremely simple to avoid major damage. I sadly can't remember there names but here is a couple examples I believe both are on false emp. During the big droid boss fight he.pulls you in and then immediately hits hard, if you are dps just take a couple steps back after the pull its extremely simple and allows your healer to focus on the tank if you do happen to get hit by this do not freak out on your healer use a medpack or wait til he is done healing the tank. The other boss I am thinking of is the one who charges his implants. Dps far tough often likes to take him on head on when his implants are charged. This is just dumb you can do it once by mistake but once the rest of the group tells you to stop doing it and you don't don't be upset if your kicked, if you cause a wipe or are put on some ignore lists. In all seriousness knowing the fight is half the battle. If you don't know it ask. I have never been in a game where everyone was unwilling to explain. I have no problem teaching and helping you but if you repeatedly make the same mistakes with no desire to correct them I will be putting you on ignore increasing you Que times.

I gotta say as someone who only plays tanks and healers this is funny. Couple things first there are two ways for BW to fix this either gives healers and tanks more daily rewards for FP's (which would be nice for healers cause doing planetary dailies as a healer is annoying) or make the FP's harder and add a dps. The easy way for you to fix this is friend a tank or a healer and Que with them. Everytime I sign on I get bombarded with requests from dps to do FP's. Most of the time I don't mind some of the time I do and thats when I charge to group with you. Some dps find it worth the money some don't. Also guys who are.good at dps and watch and help the healer when adds come get preferential healing from me. If you think you are god and do whatever you please I let you die. Another thing you dps may not know but in a hm FP tanks and healers tend to know each other due to lack of each and whisper to each other about their moronic dps. Not that there is anything you can do about that but if a healer or a tank tells you to stop doing something or to.do something do it. If you don't you will probably wind up on both of our ignore lists.

See this is smart. They wanna single you out let em and pull em away. Instead of being upset about being a high priority target play smarter. Sometimes I understand it just isn't possible but your teammates should be supporting you especially if they know your a good healer.

Agreed if they send four guys after 1 healer you should die. But if you have even a remotely decent team they should be capitalizing on it. It would be dumb if you could survive four dudes wailing on you. Our survivability is pretty good and I really don't think there is any class out there that.can survive 4 people attacking it at once. What I think your upset about is being singled out. All that means is that you are considered a greater threat than the rest if the team.

I know this isn't the advice you wanna hear but good luck. I have a sage I pvp with and I feel unstoppable and a marauder that I pvp with and to be honest I suck with the marauder. I really can't figure it out. If you really want a melee pvp class try a assassin. I know there are some out there who do just fine with their marauders but when I am playing my sage I consider them easy pickens and tear em apart. All you need to do is knock em back and slow em and they are done. When I do pvp with my marauder I pick my targets very selectively. No crowds unless you got a good healer. Try and pick off the guys standing back healing or sniping. I hope you figure it out

Craft em with your crafting skill. I use synthweave. Crafting components come from reverse engineering stuff.

I can't believe how many people here seem to think we are weak 1 on 1. The only class that gets me one on one is a stealth operative I am a healer/ kinetic and I have no problems with any melee class just knock em back prof em with rocks slow and stun. They will not survive. Especially if you keep your force armor and rejuvanate up. 2 on 1 is bit tougher but if they are melee classes its no problem. Now before you go saying I must be on a crappy noob server I am on the shadowlands. Which I believe is the second largest server.

I seriously can't believe you are asking for this. The only class I struggle with 1 on 1 is a stealth operative. Between his cc and stealth I feel like I get permastunned by them. Now I am a hybrid healer but have no fear taking on any class 1 on 1 or even 1 on 2. Except stupid stealth operatives. Just keep your force armor up and rejuvenate going and you will be fine. I love rushing capture points solo with a marauder and assasisin waiting. They never seem to know what's coming. Maybe all I am coming across is trash players but ending a game with 30+ kills and less than 4 deaths is common. And I usually have at least 150 k healing. Can't seem to break 200k healing like this but being able to cap a point solo is huge for a team. And even if you can't hold it you can get away and it really screws up the enemy teams tactics. Anyways if I had more durability I feel I would be unstoppable

As a healer I gotta rank the tanks as follows 1. Skilled assassin 2. Skilled to unskilled powertech 3. Skilled to unskilled jugg 4. Unskilled assassin I agree that assassins are really easy to keep alive, but only when they know what they are doing. If they are clueless, I feel like I am better off keeping the aggro on me and keeping myself alive. Nothin like an assassin who gets to far from the group cloaks and runs away, just love seeing that.

I have a hybrid sage and completely disagree with this. If I had more.defensive skills I would be unstoppable. I never have a problem 1 on 1 except against stealth operatives. Everything else is cake 1 on 1. If your struggling I am guessing your being to ballsy. As a sage don't just run into the crowd you not a tank. Stay back picking off the enemy one by one while supporting your team. When I first started pvp as my sage I will admit I struggled but once I learned my role I find I am routinely top three on my team in dps heals and objectives. Honestly though I really don't find it uncommon anymore to finish a warzone match with 0 deaths. Can't imagine what I could do with more defense.
