Already did it... as I said, I just wanted to share this "Only in TOR" moment with you guys and see your thoughts about it.

So, hai everyone! I was running a Primary Studies heroic for the Gree event today, I was inquired by a really annoying commando asking why I was dps'ing as a vanguard. I will post down here the convo we had, but of course I'll hide the name. And he logged. Before all of this he was all like "Oh I'm so experienced!" or things like "I play this game for a long time" and bla bla bla... big deal, I'm playing this game for almost 2 years now. So I wanted to share this with you guys to see what are your thoughts. 1 - I didn't know that I need to tank being a vanguard; 2 - The comparation of never seen a tank commando being the same as he never saw a dps vanguard is just going into full retard to me; 3 - Is this the kind of experienced players the newcomers are "obligated" to face during their gameplay? Please... discourse...

The Verpine / Underworld has the same look, but coloring scheme is different.

My opinion is this... For general daily runs, 50 HM and 55 SM flashpoints, classic operations and even PVP, you won't notice the lack of power from a rifle compared to a cannon. I have one commando and one vanguard and in all the situations I said above, they perform pretty much the same way, since they're situations where you don't actually need to put out massive DPS to kill something. Even in PVP it's fun because people think you're a vanguard (if they don't pay attention to your class's symbol or simple don't turn them on) and that you won't do much damage from range so they kinda leave you alone, just to see you throw loads of grenades at them from range and spam grav round or flame round from range and dps them, or maybe see you heal to full while they try to beat you up... haha, it's funny, I've done this many, many times before they realize I'm actually a commando and not a vanguard. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT... And this is a BIG but... if you plan to run 55 SM & HM Ops or be part of a progression team, or run 55 HM flashpoints, YOU DO NEED the cannon, because of its higher damage output and in these situations I just said, you need to dish out as much damage as you can, using as many abilities as you can, you can't afford to lack two abilities in these cases just because of looks. You will only jeopardize the whole group. If you don't like the looks of most of the cannons, buy one of those "gatling gun" ones... I have one of that and my blaster rifle, both with same mods inside just so I can have them on hand for when it's needed.

I'm pretty sure he does, but all he wants is to join a brazilian guild in the server, that's all he's asking for... There's no need for a post like yours. Ps.: He already got his answers.

More of a "real soldier like" look. Most cannons are too bulky and ungly in my opinion, unless those gatling gun ones. And I wanted to keep the range. But you can be sure I do use cannons in 55 HM FPs and Operations. A couple of weeks ago I engaged into a long and quite nice chat with him. He ended up talking about his own persona and life and etc. His typing changed like 85% for better and he wasn't rude or anything like that at all. People tend to give him a hard time because of his "robot like" role-playing, calling him a troll and etc, so he only replies. To me, he's just someone that doesn't like to take effrontery home thus acting like he does.
