Last part was true for me, but as to the first.... well all my achievements are screwed. any titles i've gotten do not appear on my characters legacy dropdown. Some of my companion achievements that havent been completed (kill 1000 mobs) are showing as killed 7980/1000 mobs. The list goes on.

Because we stopped took a breath looked at what was going wrong and who did it then explained to that person(s) what they did wrong and completed the job. And if you played EQ and did 60 man raids, then you'd remember how buggy it was sometimes that mobs could agro through walls because there was an issue with the collision correction on the npc's where they could be partially in walls and agro half the dungeon on the other side. As to a cadre of people..not really we had 5 main people. In a 60 man raid that was 1 main tank, 1 off-tank, 2 healers and 1 puller. The rest of the raid were pick ups. Yes you'd see the same maybe 10-15 people, but I could also guarantee I saw a lot of new 1 off faces, mainly because they didn;t know what the purpose of constantly killing the big boss mobs were for, and just wanted to be part of taking down a Dragon. Not sure what server you played EQ on but we never had a wait list of any sort for the 60 man raids. WoW was another beast altogether because the ADHD crowd didn't like spending 3-4 hours clearing their way to the end boss to wipe. Thus became the quick path dungeons they have now which can be completed in 20-30 mins. I learnt on EQ where you;d have to spend 2-3 hours fighting your way into a dungeon, then spend 8 hours killing placeholders to get the boss to spawn, in hopes of getting the loot you wanted. If you didn;t get the loot, it was rinse & repeat all over again. Now you tell me if todays gamers have the ability to sit there and do that?? This is why people want fast instances, no wipes. Get in, get the easy loot. If it doesn't drop rerun. They can get 7-8 done in a couple of hours and get near instant gear. No patience what-so-ever in my opinion.

sorry don't get paid enough to even repaint the smallest scorch mark I could get. I think I'll let my ship sit in the hanger and acquire cobwebs.

Thing is..if you've got limited time you shouldnt run a FP or OP. 'Cause Murphies Law will always come into play, especially when you rush. Then what happens is that person says.."oh I gotta go" an promptly leaves, then your left with a missing group member and you either have to find a replacement or disband and start again, which actually wastes more peoples time than having 1 or 2 wipes.

Everquest had personal rewards and progression a hell of a lot better than the current state of MMORPG's and you know what, people were a lot more relaxed in that game. Try being in a 60 man raid where one wrong foot from 1 player could wipe the entire raid. I was a main tank for many of these and you know what, even with 60 people dying 5 times, not one person was ever kicked from the raid. This was in a game where you actually could lose levels from dying.

Strange, I couldn;t and neither could my wife when she did her Juggernaught. The only way we found of interupting was to run out of distance so he'd move and stop casting.

Thank you. Your one of the few who understand. MMO's are also a way for people like this young lady to keep in contact with her other half over long distances without tying up phone lines for hours. They both get to do something that can take thier minds off things they'd rather not be doing. As an former soldier, I know we are needed and duties we must perform, although some are not the nicest of things to do. immersing yourself in games like this can detract from those things. I remember one story from my days of Everquest. A particular character (young lady in real life) used to spend hours upon hours in the game, anywhere from 10-16 hours on weekend. One day her avatar was seen just standing in an open area not moving and not responding to any hails at all (this was back when you wouldn't get booted for inactivity, you could literally be on for days). It was later found out in a news report the reason behind this and her vast amounts of time in game. She came from a very abusive family, physically and mentally. Well one day while she was playing, apparently her father came up behind her and shot her in the back of the head. So people have all sorts of reasons for spending however much timein game. If you have an active social life outside, great. But just because others spend just as much time in game as they do outside, doesn't mean they don't as well.

I think they may mean the Darth Barras Boss fight, where he can one shot you with the voice of the emperor. It is a rather nasty fight to solo, as it can't be interupted, you had to run out of range.

Sooo posting GMT and doing conversions really work. Like today/ Logged on after getting home from work (4PM AEST) and notice the maintenance time showing it's due at 12PM GMT. This equates to 22:00 AEST. Well, servers go down 2 hours early. I mean really, they expect us to get outage times correct when they can't even do it themselves. And yes it,s annoying cause my wife and I were trying to get our dailies done, and we had it worked we could get them done on most of our 50;s/

It's called a mortgage..going out for dinner or anything else every weekend costs a lot more than $15 a month subscription (or $30 a month for 2 subs). We did plenty of the going out every weekend before we got married and in our 1st 2 years together if you must know. As for kids, well that's another story that's really none of your business. Besides we met a lot a people we now call friends all around the word playing MMO's. Some we've even planned on meeting a spending a month or two with. Also, who says my wife isn't hot. She shares the same interests as myself, which makes our relationship even closer.

This is what my wife and I hated in WoW as well. Your expected to know wvery aspect of every instance you go into BEFORE you go into it. Wheres the fun in learning it. Yes I know people have precsious time and don't like taking hours to finish 1 FP or OP when they could finish 3 or 4. We made a guild in that game, that used to run instances for people who were wanting to learn because they had never been in them. You'd be surprised how well it took off. We had queues of people and were busy 10+ hours on Sat & Sun. We took our time and explained it to the players how this worked and how that boss agro this and that. And to be honest it was more fun, than rushing through a dungeon missing half the content just to kill the end boss in under 20 mins so we you could move onto the next instance. Now we just play with our friends, if they're not online, and it's just us 2, we don't do FP or OP's, because we're tired of being rushed through content we haven't seen and get to enjoy it at our own pace.

Yeah because standing in a town in that other game, or on Fleet in this game constantly calling out for people to run an Raid/OP is sooooooo much more fun than actually doing something else.

Because it gives people something else to do. The exact same thing can be said for running the end-game OP's and FP's over and over to get the highest tiered gear. Who cares that you got UBER gear, no one other than you and your own bragging rights that you've ACHIEVED it.

Yeah well, I can understand that, but the thing is... Getting Jaesa to 10k affection and being dark isn't part of the achievement, only 10k and being light. If she has 2 sides, then wouldn't you think you need both to complete the achievement. So either it's wrong the way it is, or they left that part out of the achievement listing. edit : There is an achievement for the "Corrupted padawan", but its not required for the "Loyalty to the Sith Warrior" achievement

Quite obviously by your original post you are not if you are asking for the queues to be fixed, as there is no actual TRUE tank class. The only true class is DPS, all the rest are Hybrid classes based on the skill trees. The easiest way to get a new tank to listen, is don't be rude be constructive. Coming on here and whining about this person queues for that as the wrong choice and asking for the Gp Finder to be changed. ever though they may have thought they unchecked tank on the group finder and got drawn in, not realising they were the tank. It has happened on many occasions. I have had DPSers join as healers because they didn't realise they had it checked. Did I wipe, you sure can betch ya. Was I peed-off, yep sure was after the 5th wipe. Did I leave the group at that point, sure did. Did I come on the forums and come off with an elitest attitude about a separate queue for NOOBs and one for people who know all that..nope. If after the 1st wipe they are still not listening, and you wipe a 2nd time or a 3rd time (depending on your tolerance), best thing I would suggest..walk away. Leave the group and start a new one, this time specifically forming a group for the run, rather than rely on an obviously (in your opinion) broken system.

incorrect..IT was an issue in that game with minotaurs and elves, but it was corrected. How does one get gear for their "Off-spec" Juggs can be tank or DPS. G-finder allows you to queue as either. I can queue for either, but I don't know what my role is until I get in. Which means I need 2 sets of gear plus the Feild Respecialisation perk.

This is it exactly..you want to random queue fine, put up with what you get. If you want to compete it with no hassles, form a group with people you know and can work together with. It's really that simple. But hang on..my mates aren't on when I'm on, and I really want to run this flashpoint NOW and I can't be bothered forming a proper group, so I'll just random in, then whine when it falls apart.
