  1. Why do you get to decide how I want to play this game? I have 30 characters. Been here since day 1. I prefer not to do the same missions over and over to get from 65-70. The end game is the game for me at this point. I want to "grind" my way through GC levels. 65-70 I get nothing useful. I really don't understand this. I pay to play this game. If I'm not affecting or hurting you or anyone else, why do you even care how I level?
  2. I'm sorry but I have never exploited and never will. If this was truly an exploit since 2.0, why hasn't it been fixed for that long? Frowned up and exploit are 2 very different things imo. I assumed they maybe didn't love it but why do they care how I level my 10th-20th alt? I'm not hurting anyone. It seems to bother you too....why? Oh and I can really say that there is nothing wrong with banking missions. I completed them, what does it matter when I accept my rewards? Again...how am I affecting you or anyone else in this game? I guess it's back to "exploiting" the Bestia adds...again...I guess that is ok though?
  3. Why does this game feel like us (players) vs them (devs)? I have many gripes like the rest of the community. This comes from the nerf to chapter 9 xp. I could run chapter 9 with my xp gear (from DvL event) and boost and not accept the rewards...run it 3x and boom! I'm 68.5...a few H2s and I'm 70. Then they stealth nerf it so I can't run chapter 9 again. WHY? Why does this bother you devs? I ran the story on my main and wanna get my alts to 70 asap. Why do you constantly force me to play "your way". Now I have to grind to 70 just to grind cxp.....this "triggers me" as the young folks say and makes me wanna smash my face into the monitor. Then..."1 crate per hour". Tier 2 is at 90. So if I play my main for 90 hours I can get tier 2 gear....who thinks this stuff up? My 6 year old wanted to play again so I re-activated this account for him. He realized what was going on and said....nevermind. I know there are threads like this but I get so angry, I have to voice my opinion. I love this game and the friends I made here....why are you alienating so many of us? I want to play your game....stop shoving a fist up my rear!
  4. I really hope BW sifts through all this feedback and actually listens. (I know....) Sub since pre-order and have had up to 3 accounts at times for me and my kids. I rarely feel the need to post though I visit these forums almost daily. Quick vent.... I cant begin to say how frustrated I am with stuff like this. Not only do they not fix so many annoying and frustrating bugs, they actually nerf something that was helping us. I literally just said to my buddy last night... I'm actually ok with his patch. Many bugs, but they'll get fixed, I hope. My guild has died from no end-game content but at least now I don't really need to worry about gear. Pvp bolster seems to be working ok and I actually like killing golds now. For 5 years, I've avoided them for the most part. Now I see them and I wanna kill 'em. Then I wake up and see this. I just....I honestly don't know what the heck is going on over there. I always joke that many stupid decisions are made in rooms with lots of people. Like, someone says, "..hey, I have an idea.." and every one listens and says ok, lets do it. Then the rest of the world says..."who actually decided this and thought it would be ok." There are so many things about this game right now that make me wanna say that. /frustrated in swtor-land
  5. You cannot learn the green (228) or blue (230) mods/enhs from crate gear. You can learn the purple(230) ones though. In fact, you have a 100% chance to learn. The parts will require 2 of the refined isotopes (sorry, isTotopes...damn BW typo) Like others have said, schematics will drop also both from command crates and pvp daily crates.
  6. Whenever I make and RE the new grade 9 cell grafts, I do not get any slot components back. Anyone else having this issue?
  7. So a patch where crafting is a focus and we can't do any crafting. Basically: too bad, come back next week. I have no idea why this type of response still shocks me at this point but, wow.
  8. /signed I was very disappointed to finally get the 4 set on my commando healer, only to find out that it doesn't work. 3.0 is now 4 months old. How has this not been fixed. Extremely frustrating. Since 3.0, my guild has pretty much died. Ops that are not even remotely friendly to casual groups....etc. (more, but that's for another thread). End game PvErs are being funneled into 2 ops that are hard to pug and are buggy. I finally get set pieces and they don't work. I'll say it again: very frustrating.
  9. Fair enough. I get where you are coming from and I understand. Personally, I'd rather be rewarded for the stuff that I earned than to have someone else punished for what they did. Other PvE'rs getting free gear affected me in no way that I can think of. Sure, maybe the market took a hit but at least I was able to buy my 192 hilts/barrels with the surplus of mats. It actually helped me. Not getting loot was the only thing that personally affected me.
  10. Re: Ardarell. I agree with what you are saying. However, your tone left me feeling like you rode in on your high horse and started lecturing everyone. I think Brittaany was using the example of their ability to collect data as a way of asking them to use that data in a more positive method. I can't say that I agree with the OPs tone either but I do agree with the idea of it. Dbears hits the nail on the head. There are so many issues in an MMO like this, where would they draw the line? I for one, would just like to see a positive post/communication on these forums. It's been so negative. I guess it goes to the whole idea of punishing negative behavior versus reinforcing positive ones. I know that clearing 8sm Ravagers twice in week 1 and getting no loot or mission completion was very frustrating. My group filed a very specific ticket and basically got no help. I never received a response myself. I know that it must be very difficult and time consuming to deal with issues like that but it seems like they are devoting a lot of time and resources in punishing negative behavior using the same data.
  11. I have a question, sorry if it's been answered. Didn't see it. How will obroan/brutalizer relics work in sub 60 pvp after 3.0? I ask because I have several 53-54 who I enjoy pvp'ing with. Should I get them to 55 and get their relics or save the coms? If I am in lowbie pvp against 57's with relics that proc in pvp, I could see that being a bid disadvantage. Thanks and I appreciate any information or advice.
  12. Dear Abby, I understand I may be poking a hornets nest here, but I was hoping for some help. I am in a more laid back guild that works on progression a few nights a week. Currently we are working on the last few bosses of DF HM and DP HM. One of the issues we have been having is our healers telling me that one of our main tanks (long time in the guild and one of our better players) who stacks endurance (51K hps) takes too much damage and requires too much healing. I understand that many of you can clear the current HM ops with either an endurance tank or a mitigation tank. It would help if we were optimized since many of us are casual players. Reading some of those formulas hurts my brain but my personal opinion from looking at numbers from our parses: The extra 4480 hitpoints gained from using endurance augments is only good for an extreme burst phase. In that case time to kill (TTK) may apply since those extra hitpoints may outweigh any damage mitigated. Is it safe to assume that a burst phase (basically in the 40-50k range) that extreme is rare? To me, any damage taken in the raid represents healing resources (GCD's) needed to fix that damage. Therefore, it is best to avoid as much damage as possible as opposed to "absorbing" it with a hitpoint cushion that consumes raid resources to fix. Our healers are usually fighting against the GCD clock to heal up the raid from adds / DoT's. I may be able to leave the endurance tank for 1 extra GCD (he absorbed with extra hps) while raid healing but when I come back, it's going to cost me an extra GCD (and energy/force) to heal him back up anyway right? Wouldn't it be better if he just took less damage in the first place? Thanks in advance for any helpful and positive responses - Hopeless in Noobville
