  1. I've also heard good things about the Operative storyline, which is important to me. What is it specifically other than the long cast on their major heal that makes Sorcs less appealing? I think i'm going to try a juggernaut as well. having a taunt that actually does something in pvp can't be fully measured.
  2. aha... thank you for the clarification. pretty cool, that's a nice feature while leveling. anyone think of a rough equivalent to the aforementioned support healer with good mobility and interrupts? I peeked at the tree for Operatives and i've tried the Sith Sorc ever so briefly. having a is appealing i must say... but slow cast time is a big no no in pvp. i guess i will just have to try and see.
  3. that's what i'm looking for. Thanks for the suggesion. in response to 'try WoW'. I did. played since beta and i just burnt out on it about 6 months ago (anthropomorphic pandas in the ground-level cloud idea just jumped the shark for me... you know there is going to be a horrible Jane Goodall reference there and I just don't want to see that trainwreck, among other things... but i digress). Looking for something fresh and SWTOR was on my list of possibles. Bioware basically has 28 days to convince me I should stay... but i'd like to optimize my chances of consistent and balanced pvp. That starts with server choice.
  4. Good Morning, New to SWTOR (not to MMOs). Did a test run from a friends 7-day pass and liked the gameplay. i've heard that there is some faction imbalance and I was looking for a server that had good balance and consistent queues after 8pm EST. Any suggestions? Also, I'm up in the air on a toon. Been reading the forums and just about everything seems both horribly bad and FOTM at the same time (what else is new. doom and gloom next to envy and spite on a forum? who would have guessed?!?). I was planning on going Sorc but the long casts seem crippling. I tend to prefer good mobility and a support role that capitalizes on smart gameplay. I previously played a 'ghost wolf healer' in another game that we shall not mention for a long time and love arena play. Anything like that here? (please no discussion on the 'balance' of that game, i enjoyed the "style" of play... lots of buttons, good combinations of skills with short interrupts and excellent mobility). finally, do players in the 10-49 bracket get bumped based on their teammates/opponents level? I tooled around on my friends 11th Sorc before and seemed to heal for much more than I should have when playing with lvl 30s in a WZ. A proper explanation would be appreciated. Cheers, i'm looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield.
