  1. Meh I never... , but I chose the other option, in all honesty it seemed like a better deal (any doubt, listen to 4X's dialogue) Good idea to keep that quest waiting in the background though - always makes me feel better when I see Jaxo again
  2. One massive problem that occurs when packs have been absent for long periods of time is that the items contained within start fetching absurdly stupid prices on the GTN. For instance, Tulak Hord's Armor set drops from a pack that hasnt been seen in over a year. And on my server (Progenitor) I've seen the complete set listed for 50M credits. The price of a guildship for one armor set. Granted that some players are inconsiderate, greedy scum, I can understand paying several million credits for a rare set of armor - but 50M? No way in hell. If the older packs whizzed by more often, prices on "rare" items would go down, and the economy would be much healthier and would give newer players whose wallets are not so huge, the chance to acquire nice cosmetic gear. Recycle a bunch of random Cartel packs every week or fortnight and spice things up. Seeing the same pack for sale week after week after week gets tiresome, and boring.
  3. We have plenty of model ships already...but two of these are conspicuously absent. Model Fury and Model Thunderclap (Sith Warrior/Inquisitor and Trooper ships) We have Defender, Phantom, Freighter and Mantis ships already, so why are we missing the other 2 to complete the collection? Funny thing is, this question was asked way back in 2013 - no anwer. Model Fury and Thunderclap pets please!
  4. Hi all, Since 4.0, I am aware of the changes to companions and their gear - but it seems that now their flexibility regarding weapon types has now changed as well and I was wondering if anyone had made a list of the weapon types that companions are allowed to equip now. For example. Prior to 4.0, Jaesa Willsaam was able to equip single sabers as well as dual sabers. Now, it seems that she can only equip dualsabers. This is a right pain, as I bought a Descendant's heirloom single saber from the CM...with the sole purpose of giving to her (pre 4.0), and now she can't use it. The codex will also have to be updated regarding companions, as underneath the character bio, it gives a (now incorrect) list of useable weapons. Lightsabers, Dualsabers, Vibroswords etc. If some hero with some time to kill could run through all companions in game, and make a list of the weapons types that each companion is able to use, then you would prevent a lot of people from making silly mistakes and buying superb gear for your companion...only to find they can't equip it. Regarding buying superb gear - I know that all clothes for companions is now cosmetic. That's not the point of this thread. This is about weapons, and as far as I know, if you give a companion a really good weapon - their DPS will increase. So this is the only thing that can boost companion efficiency in battle other than prescence from influence levels. All in all, this locking of weapon types is a bit irritating, especially for interesting companions, as now they are given weapons which don't entirely fit their biography/background story. Aric Jorgan should be able to use sniper rifles. Corso Riggs should be able to use blaster rifles. Ideally, I'd love to give akaavi spar a huge gamorrean axe...but I'm not sure whether she can equip it since these changes. Some of the jedi companions (Kira Carsen, Nadia Grell, Jaesa Willsaam, Xalek) suit a single saber instead of a dualsaber... Please Devs, updated the companion codices to accurately reflect what type of gear they can use. It would also be nice if companions had slightly more freedom in terms of weapon choice too. Think about it.
  5. Starkiller - worst Jedi ever. Worst game series ever. Worst treatment of Star Wars lore ever. Just mentioning his name makes your argument invalid.
  6. Hi All, This is not a rant - just a series of statements I'm posting here based on my own gameplay experience of 4.0. If certain things can be reverted or changed, let me know...becuase I might be doing something wrong. 1) Heroics. WHY are we missing in the turn-in cutscenes and dialogue? I HATE this bit of comm chatter we get as a reward for finishing the heroic instead of going back to the NPC and turning it in as per any normal quest. In fact, I believe some heroic quest turn-ins had some good scenes and character responses too. WHY IS THIS MISSING? 2) Heroic Rewards. For some reason, the rewards obtained from completing heroics now are WAY overpowered. Now with my giga-powered gear and companion, there is very little that can bring me down below 60% health. Consequently, fights are no longer challenging. Every mob is now a trash mob. Even champion boss mobs (not world bosses) can be lazily tanked and spanked solo. I understand the devs wanting to make certain quests easier...but I think they have gone too far with buffing players and nerfing mobs. 3) Bonus Series. This is a strange one actually. I completed chapter 1 on my Sith Warrior, and fully quested out all the planets on the way (heroics, sides, explorations, purples). All good so far. Then, after acquiring Jaesa Willsaam as my go-to companion, I decided to go back and do the bonus series on the earlier planets instead of going straight ahead into chapter 2. It is worth noting that I am 50+ when doing this. Leveling and exp rewards from quests have been given so many steroids that I think I remember hitting 50 half-way though Tatooine. Anyway, I was able to complete Balmorra's Bonus Series without any problems. Then I went to Nar Shaddaa. Colonel Harok should be the starting NPC for NS Bonus Series, but he has no quest triangle. There is a lot of important dialogue surrounding Bonus Series quests - so what's going on here? Why have these CRUCIAL missions been wiped? Please don't tell me that Bonus Series for other planets visited in chapter 2+ are also missing...If so, then FIX IT. FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT. 4) EXP rewards. These are just too damn high. I also think whining players saying "we want permanent 12x" were responsible for the travesty that we have now in the leveling game. "Yes", I hear you say, "but that's what level sync is for... " Wrong. Questing through Alderaan at level 53 in ridiculously OP'd gear gained from heroics is not fun. Believe it or not, there are some players here who are not trying to hit 65 in 2 days flat. However , this is now unavoidable due to the stupidly high exp rewards gained from quests. I'm, as you people like to say, "playing the game at my own pace", by going through each world completely and experiencing everything I can, picking up lore entries, and killing rare mobs. The pacing of the exp rewards directly interfere with this. Now it's a giant rush to 65. F All the players who begged and stamped their feet for 12x exp. Now you've ruined the fun of leveling. 5) Cartel Pack Rotation and Market health. This is getting ridiculous on the server where I play (The Progenitor). Because BW releases new cartel pack after new cartel pack...instead of rotating through all of the previous ones, some items from those older packs are reaching just idiotic prices on the GTN. Granted, GTN greed and idiocy is present on the newer items too. For instance - Darth Malgus's armor set is fetching almost 20 Million creds now. The Exquisite Dancer's top is close to 5M, and Revan Reborn gear is nearly 35 million. If BW were to regularly recycle the packs - then prices might come down to something more sensible. If gamers here think EA is a greedy corporation, just look at the prices on the GTN, and choke on your own filthy hyprocrisy. You guys make Gordon Gekko look like a Tellytubby. Not everyone has all day every day to farm weekly heroics with 4 people. If this is the only way to acquire the stupid amount of credits to buy some gear that looks good...then this is a very big problem. 6) Social Points. Some of the greatest cosmetic armor sets in game are only available to players with advanced social ranks. For me, all I require is Social III to acquire the Hailstorm Brotherhood armor set for my companion. Now that heroics no longer require heroism...but rather caffeine, how do I go about getting adequate social points without farming endless Black Talons with an equally brain-dead friend? Now, if I am in error in any of these issues above, tell me. If there is a way to revert either the fast leveling, or the OP gear rewards...or the missing dialogue...tell me. I want to enjoy this game again. I'm a subscriber because I appreciate the work BW has done to give us a great game so far - It just seems that there are more nuisances now post 4.0 then there were back when I started playing SWTOR in June 2014....at least then some skill was required to fight mobs. Look foward to hearing from you.
  7. Oh I see! Fantasticles. Only problem here in reply to the person who said I can use collections, is that I never completed the collection. I would take a chestpiece here, a lower robe there, and a helmet from elsewhere. Hence, the "collection" would not unlock. I only buy what I need. If I only need Naga Sadow's Crown, I buy the crown. I don't need to spend a couple million creds on the chest, boots, gloves, belt and bracers, just because they exist. You'd think because these items are "collectable", they would be available piece by piece as well. I dont want to have to chuck out tens of millions of credits buying a full set when I only want the boots, for instance. Flawed system is flawed. As for the companions, well, this is a suprise. You mean to tell me that I can equip Jaesa in nothing but empty orange gear, and she'll hit as hard as she did in previous game versions where she was fully loaded up with purple mods in all pieces of clothing?
  8. Returning Player here... I was GM of a guild which I founded and invested close to 10M credits in. When I unsubbed a couple months ago, I lost my guild headship. Everyone else in the guild is inactive. There is one other "officer", and everyone else (including me) is a "recruit". The custom ranks I set up during my time there seem to have reset. How long am I going to have to wait to get my guild back? I made it, I put my hard earned cash into it, I want my access back! Yes, the "official post" says I have to wait 4 WEEKS, before the current inactive GM gets demoted and another "Officer" then gets the Headship...then ANOTHER 4 weeks for him to get demoted too, as he's inactive. Plus, I'm still a "recruit", so when am I eligible for promotion? God, this is annoying. I was saving up for the Guild Flagship, and just selling junk in a desperate grind to get 50 million credits...which to be fair, is a huge slog for a single player. I'm also thinking about making my guild just for myself and my alts. I am not sure of a few things, however. 1)Will I be able to invite people to view my guildship...without them being in the guild? 2) Is it possible to do any conquests solo? I am aware that the 50M credits is just the first step with regards to the guildship. All the unlocks and such cost a pretty penny, and I've never quite understood how frameworks are acquired. I think from conquests...hence my above question. I know that a "Guild" is supposed to involve a ton of other people, but to be fair, I have a life, and cannot be constantly available to talk and keep the guild alive. People also leave for their own reasons. My guild was really active and friendly before I unsubbed. Now it's gone completely dark. It's depressing, to say the least. Has 4.0 changed any of the professions in that some are now more lucrative than others? I seem to remember that slicing was a good one to choose, although I'd have to run that on another char, as the character that was the former Guildmaster has high levels of progress in other skills. Other than my level 57, who I'm only keeping until I regain guild control, I only have very low level characters. Is it necessary to complete a whole planet before moving to the next one in terms of leveling? Is it possible to level decently just by doing story quests? I ask because it will get tiresome...fast, to have to roll through Balmorra and Nar Shadaa for the 16th time. It seems that Heroics have changed too. No more commendations...which, ok, I think I understand. Am I right in thinking that we can now only do Heroics once a week? Perhaps I misread, but I was on Hutta, and a dropbox offered all the Heroic quests, and said I could only complete them once per week. Please clarify. Has this change eliminated "farming" now? If so, then it's just made my life a hell of a lot harder. Other than buying a metric ton of CC, and buying "the stuff that sells well", on the GTN, is there any way that I can start the cash rolling in decently? Space missions and Starfighter - worth doing? I remember doing a few basic space missions, which were really fun, but I think they just gave small amounts of exp as rewards. I want cash! Laugh all you want, but I've never been raiding. Are raids particularly good for farming cash? Are they soloable? Lots of points here, but SWTOR is looking pretty lonely for me right now - and pretty difficult. Any advice appreciated.
  9. Returning Player here... So I just found my way around this new Outfit business, seems pretty nice, being able to wear your battle gear, but then use the outfit to actually appear as something else. But. Companions don't have this. One of the big things that's important to me is making my companions look good as well. For instance, I have a set which I have mixed and matched to look phenomenal on my Sith Warrior, but if I want Jaesa to have the same outfit, which again looks even more stunning when we're both wearing it, I don't want to have to buy duplicate copies of each piece...along with all the mods and inserts, especially as one of the items of Cosmetic gear sells for many millions of credits on the server where I am. I'm actually rolling another Sith Warrior, as I've been away from SWTOR for several months, and I'd like to re-familiarize myself with the story. This outfit function is fantastic, as it enables me to find a lovely cosmetic set, and wear it throughout the story. All that's missing is being able to do the same for my companions. So, Devs - just apply the same outfit function to companions, and you'll get some more cash from me. Anyone agree?
  10. Hmm, not sure if this is exactly the right forum to post this on, but nothing else seems to be applicable to this topic. So, I'm rolling a Sith Warrior to look as much like Vowrawn as possible, but with Body type 3, and a different outfit. I had a 53 warrior before, but I've been away from SWTOR for several months, and have sort of forgotten the story. Worth a re-roll? Yeah, why not? The problem is that Vowrawn has a unique face type that includes brow ridges, cheek tendrils, and cheekbone horns. Face customizations 4, 5, 8 and 9, have the features respectively, but not combined. Which to choose? 4 has no tendrils, 5 has no ridges, 8 has no ridges, and 9 has no tendrils or ridges! Also, because of lighting, or maybe its my eyes, but I can't tell what colour hair Vowrawn is supposed to have. Is it hair colour 1 or 2? 1 is dark red, 2 is very dark red. Depending on lighting, it can look like one or the other. Same goes for his skin tone...I believe it's tone 6 (darkest red) If anyone has the answers to exactly what his face and hair specs are, then do tell!
  11. Well hello there. Just wanted to raise a few issues here and there - just to gather thoughts. A) I was wondering whether there were any players out there who have amassed a personal wealth of over 1 billion credits yet. I saw a Dulfy video, and briefly it showed her inventory as having an insane 4 Billion credits. (Seriously ***) I had no idea such an amount of money was aquirable in-game. For me, making a million is a milestone enough. I do think, however that people who, through hard work and smart investment, have acquired legitimately (No gold bought from mmo gold sellers) the sum of 1B credits. should be given a "Forbes List" if you like, of SWTOR Billionaires. Seems something worthy of recognition. B) On the topic of wealth creation, as far as I can work out...it costs 125 million credits to fully unlock the guild ship + however many frameworks as well. I'll round up and estimate that all required frameworks will be another 100 million credits, given the current market on my server (Progenitor). So - that makes the cost of a fully-unlocked Guild Flagship a staggering 225 Million credits. Is it even possible for one person to make this much money - or is it implied that you will have 100+ other players grinding senselessly in order to fill this gigantic credit-sink? C) It might just be me, but I have done a great deal of browsing publicly listed strongholds, and the majority of them are just garbage. Items just thrown about, no sense of aesthetics or taste, datacrons sprayed around, you name it - it just looks very, very poor. Probably about 85% of all the strongholds I have visited could be accurately called "decoration dumps", as literally every decoration that that particular player has unlocked, is in play somehow, whether it is the plain steel chairs, or the 3rd anniversary paintings, or the 20,000 datacrons etc. Anyone else identify with this? I will say that I have encountered a few very, very good ones too. Just a word of advice for SH builders out there - less is more -. D) I've been toying with the idea of setting up my own guild for Social/Light RP, but mostly fun, FPs and Ops in the late-game - but am getting discouraged with the titanic amount of work ahead for me. Conquests seem completely impossible. Irritatingly, on the Progenitor Server, every sector of every planet is currently occupied by this SAME guild ( @ Master Thon ). Their score on the leaderboard is stupidly high, and it seems unless you're a 200+ member guild with everyone level 60 and fully kitted out in 192 gear, you haven't got a chance in hell of aquiring a sector of any map anywhere. I stress - howerver, that I have not thoroughly explored this area of gameplay, as my main is just level 53 - still has a ways to go. Correct me if I'm wrong about conquests here. Would be encouraging to find out that a small guild of a few guys can make an impact somehow... E) A while ago there was an item in the cartel market called "Bright Blue Eyes" it cost 100 CC, but has somehow vanished. Oddly enough, it does appear as an unlock when using the appearance mod station. There was a bug a while ago when people selected this option, but it did nothing. Do the devs plan to fix and put this item back on the cartel market where we can see it? I, for one, have a character that would look incredible with these eyes, but I'm not dumping 100 CC on something that I don't know is still bugged or not. Any update? F) Perhaps this is suited more to the suggestions box, but I would like to see interactible furniture. In your personal starships, given to you at approx level 17-20 (from class quests), the seats in the cockpit for the co-pilot and flight engineers and of course, the captain, are all interactible (you can click on them and sit down). Other chairs in the game, such as the high-backed padded chair, can only be /chair 'd on, and I have to admit, it looks ridiculous sometimes, as you are literally perching on the centimetre of space on the edge of the chair seat. Lounges should have 3-4 seats each side of the central table. You could, in theory take this anywhere, but mainly it is the seats that I'm interested in seeing animated somehow. Anyway, just a couple observations here. Would appreciate hearing thoughts...
  12. The Force Magister armor set for Consulars is taken directly from her looks. Put this with a Mirialan jedi character, and there you have your pseudo-luminara.
  13. Aha - I'll look out for that - I just thought that identical mods would mean identical stats, dmg and otherwise.
  14. Hi all, Just asking - some companions have proficiency in both Lightsabers and dualsabers/polesabers. Does either of these weapons give a greater damage advantage? EG: Jaesa Willsaam. She uses a dualsaber by default. I gave her a single saber, and swapped the mods over. She seems to be able to use all of her abilities normally, but I can't tell if there is a loss in DPS. Is there a distinct disadvantage to doing this? It is also interesting to note that Jaesa's lightsaber combat looks a lot more ferocious when she's using a single saber, as opposed to her polesaber. I assume the same applies to Kira Carsen and any other companions who can use lightsabers and dualsabers. Can anyone confirm if giving a companion a single saber as opposed to a dualsaber (mods identical) results in a loss of DPS or otherwise inferior combat?
  15. Not sure if this topic has had a massive thread build on it before, but to my knowledge we have... Form I: Shii-Cho Form III: Soresu Form IV: Ataru Form V: Shien Form VII: Juyo Since all these forms are so varied in mindset and application, don't you think we should have corresponding animations to fit? EG: Vicious Slash, used by Sith Warriors, is a classic "Falling Avalanche" strike used by Form V. When switching to Soresu, perhaps it should have a different animation, such as the one from the Jedi Knight? (The JK sort of waves the saber twice). The point of this is that we can have a deeper immersion into lightsaber combat. Anyone who played the Jedi Outcast and/or Jedi Academy games will know about the forms used, the occasional saber-locks, and the overall skill required to use a particular form, at the particular time...or get killed by an enemy that knows how to use a lightsaber better than you do! Yes, this would change how the Jedi/Sith classes work slightly, and might be hard to implement. But the lousiest thing I have ever seen is a Sith Warrior, Jugg, Rage vs Jedi Knight, Guardian, Focus, using the Exact same skills, in the exact same rotation, and it being a truly tedious and boring duel. Any thoughts?
