  1. They completly negate the damage of a vanguard/powertech since that class has 3 white attacks (basic, full auto/unload) and the third actually requires a dot which is removed by resilience. Do I have a problem with it? I'm not really sure, this game has much more overpowered things than resilience.

     

    Name one. Resilience is my most feared defensive cd to go up against, mostly because i cant actually do anything (rapid shots lol) and the whole time their just ROFLcoptering spinning their saber doing massive damage.

  3. Are there any updated AP specs floating around? Never tried it, and Pyro flat out sucks now

     

     

    How about you just learn to adapt instead of saying it sucks? I like it better sense the change cause there's no more wasteful IM. Flame thrower is way to dodgy to ever be effective, and sense AP revolves around that, it will never be as effective. :cool:

    To answer you once and for all, no they are not great dps, but that doesn’t mean they can't do well. They sacrifice raw damage output for more utility like having alot of long stuns and being able to go invisible. They have very high burst out of stealth but it drops in prolonged engagements. DONE.

  5. Well, I have a PT and he was great but the nerf really hurt. They want you to be a melee class with no gap closer. A mara will destroy you with ease....every time, all the time.

     

    Also, DPS sorc are not so bad against PTs, you can snare them so they cant get their 10m ranged abilities off, same for snipers.

     

    Howevery, Ops are extremely powerful as well. I see them anally violating my PT all the time.

     

    Lastly, PvP in this game should be called CC spam because that is what it is and OPs have the most spamable CC. I have been in WZs where I spent more time CCd than fighting back. I actually recorded a few WZs and went back to look when combat started and ended and I spent more time CC'd than fighting back.....I hate this game and am just waiting till Rift's expansion releases.

     

    I wish SWG was still around.......

  6. Spoiler / Prediction:

     

    In SWTOR, PvE gear will out perform PvP gear for PvP activties within 2 years of this date.

     

    Max health will overcome expertise by design.

     

    Grind and play more of the PvE content and you too will beat most PvPers...working as intended.

    Gonna go with C on this one. Not saying stunlocking doesn't exist its just 90% of the time you are stunlocked is because you are fighting multiple people.

    Soo...a person chooses a warrior class. Plays it endlessly, remodels his gear(spends alot of time doing so), and happens to crit hard against an "elite"(who may or may not be one who cries about expertise ratings).lulz

    THEN a few of these people who whine endlessly on the forums, decide to label jugs/guards "FOTM"

    The fact of the matter is, it was balanced, and yet they buffed it out of no where. The usual routine is after a class is buffed significantly it becomes FoTM. Especially when they nerf the only other damage spec.

  8. I haven't had the chance to log in since 1.4 went live, but I've been through the patch notes and some of the discussions on the forums. A few questions for you PVP'ers:

     

    1) How significantly have the range nerfs altered your playstyle, if at all? Outside of my "opener", I find myself within 10M anyway almost all of the time. I'm usually saving my stun for my Sentinel friends anyway...

     

    2) I read (not in patch notes, I don' think) that TD and ED were on separate cooldowns. True? And does the range nerf on TD also apply to ED? If not, do you find yourself using ED instead?

     

    3) If the range nerf on TD significantly impacted your playstyle and you use ED instead, have you in turn left the full 31 point build and spent the points in other trees?

     

    4) Finally, have any of you re-specced into AP because of the changes to both trees, and if so, some general thoughts on the contrast in styles?

     

    I appreciate any constructive comments. If you feel the urge to QQ about the PT changes, go find another thread. I, and am sure others, are just looking to adapt and get better.

     

    1.Only time it matters is on huttball

     

    2. I use TD and not ED because rapid shots does more damage then it and can also proc CGC whereas ED can not.

     

    3. The range reductions aren't that relevant considering 80% of classes are guardians and sentinels anyways.

  9. Played 4 or 5 non ranked 50 wz's today. Didn't notice much of a difference. It's almost better because you no longer (or should no longer) us IM so you have a lot of extra heat to spam FB with. Just open with rapid shots while running forward, there's a 90% chance a sen/gaurd will leap on you so just fight him instead of trying to chase someone down, you still wreck at close range. :cool:
  10. Good Powertech's will adapt. I played a few games today and I barely saw any drop in damage. Much more heat efficient now since I just stopped using IM.

     

    The exact phenomena has happened to me on my pyro. Makes me wonder how much better I would have been before if I dropped that excuse for an attack. Literally the only time the range nerf has effected my play substantially is huttball because of all the obstacles its much harder to hit people moving around them. But then again with 80% of the classes being Sen/Guard/Shadow they have to get in melee range to engage me anyways.
