  1. So then you both are looking at it differently. While I agree with you. I can see his point. That said, the tavern in which I desire to get inebriated is now open. Thank you for helping to make things interesting. Enjoy your SWTOR-less day, everyone. Best of luck occupying yourselves. (said in sincerity, not sarcasm)
  2. Except for Bethesda. Elderscrolls, enough said. Also, kudos to you for knowing what a strawman is. I have a feeling most people here will read that and not understand.
  3. When you have a worldwide user base, that becomes relative. The issues were pressing enough to be handled immediately. (even though it oddly took a day to find them? *** @ that?)
  4. I had wondered this myself. I'm a noob. So while I can honestly say I don't feel cheated for not getting a free month. I feel for you and people like you, who might have more gameplay time invested than someone with a lvl 50, but will still not get free playtime.
  5. If it wasn't on account of the angry fan base, and it was just good business, why did they wait to give us a free day? Why didn't they say something like "Hey guys, we know our servers are down, and we're very sorry. So to prove we're sorry and that you matter to us beyond your monthly sub, we're giving you a free day." And yes, my time is VERY important to me. When you work 60-70 hours a week yes that is important. I treasure what little downtime I have, and do not want to see it wasted. Yet for lack of good weather, I am not stuck inside feeding trolls and combing memes. The idea someone had about stocking up for a late night was great. But also implausible in my case. Better idea = ? At the first one, I'm gone.
  6. While I thank you for continuing to fight my battles for me, and press for the validity of my argument. (The argument was valid. Key word was.) There was a reason I did not include a dictionary definition of investment. I cite the words, "achieve something". Taken in the broad sense, then yes, the game is an investment. However taken in the utilitarian sense, which I fear our friend knightfell may, then no the game is not an investment.
  7. Padawan says: "As you wish Master" As a side note, am I spelling Padawan incorrectly, or did they not add an essential word in the SW universe to the spell checker? lol:confused:
  8. Disagree. While in a perfect world they'd somehow go above and beyond. And make it up to all the fools like myself who planned a day off work around this game... we lost about a day of game time all things considered. But we are still coming out 4-5 hours ahead, depending on how fast your machine is and how fast you've been and will be downloading patches.
  9. To all people who said we were whining. Do you wish to argue with the results? Ar you going to e-mail BW and tell them how you shouldn't get a free day cause you weren't complaining? /thread
  10. While I agree. I also think Knightfell's point still stands. I don't feel that quantifying it, detracts from the validity of his argument at all.
  11. This argument. There is validity here.
  12. The return was not in monetary. It was entertainment, building towards future gameplay, more entertainment. An investment doesn't have to pay dividends. Try again.
  13. Only one eh? How about a ******? I can pay for that service and have it how I want it, when I want it. Try again.
  14. Yet I spent time playing it? Funny how that works. I invested my time, into building my character. Not a bad troll, but please, try again.
