  1. i think what alot of people who enjoy story need to realize is that is not what an mmo is just about.

Compared to previous story content is this game its actually worse.

We started with 8 "separate" class story's with original release.

Now, while knights of the fallen empire seems a little more cinematic, its story doesn't have class stories or even faction stories.

Its all been tunneled down into a single story that right now doesn't have the replay value we have gotten from the previous expansions.

Hell, there is no real achievements or any feel of content in the new planets so you dont feel like exploring them.

So in my opinion people who are complaining have every reason to.

the only thing they have really gotten for their sub this year is rehashed content, no real endgame content and failed promises from the devs about the endgame content droughts this game has experienced.

Given what the game has turned into, i do think the sub cost for this game is too high.

and with the milking of peoples pockets with the current gambling packs.....bioware should be ashamed

  2. People are very unhappy, huh? I get it, But.. I don't get why you'd get so grumpy, it's glitched, be happy it's not an in-game issue.

i think its more because it was supposed to be released with chap 10 initially,

then they pushed it back to chap 11

then only announced about a week before release that they wont have it ready and it will be put on the pts

and we will have info in a month or so....................

which ultimately means we will see the eternal championship in two months at best

im betting people subbed on those months specifically for the sole purpose of getting access to the eternal championship, so i expect people to be grumpy because they price of the sub is nowhere near worth the content released.

Bioware would have known well before they announced that it was no where near being a piece of content that should make the live servers.

In which they really need to look at their development team and either hire more people or not promise release dates on content that they cannot meet.

Bioware Austin is giving the Bioware brand a very bad name with SWTOR lately

  3. Hey folks,

We have been doing a lot of internal playtesting on the Eternal Championship and it is currently not at a level that we believe our players deserve. In keeping with our commitment to offer the highest quality experience possible with our latest expansion, we have decided to delay the launch of the Eternal Championship. We are focusing on overall balance, ensuring each boss fight is challenging, endeavoring to exceed quality expectations, and most of all, making sure it is a fun experience. Please note Bowdaar will also be delayed, but will continue to launch alongside the Eternal Championship.

To help ensure we deliver on the deeper experience we promised, we have decided to make the Eternal Championship available on our Public Test Server (PTS) prior to releasing it. We are eager to make this feature as high quality as possible and would love to get your feedback as we work to strengthen it. Once we nail down the release schedule we will let you know how to get access on PTS.

I will provide more information as I have it; our goal is to have more information in the next 4-6 weeks. Thank you.

    -eric

So what I'm seein here basically is you've pulled the eternal championship twice now close to the release of a chapter. Are players who have subbed for those months going to be seeing some sort of compensation?

Given its now being put on the PTS players won't see the eternal championship until atleast chap 13

This is very worrying when I think of future updates. The content which could have been placed within future chapters probably got pushed back further.

Clearly bioware Austin needs to employ more than the cartel market guy

  4.

I had kind of thought a lot of Midian had stopped playing because they'd gotten bored with the current content and went on hiatus.

Us and most other guilds I imagine.

Also, there is no current content. just more rehash. Pve team is now run by the guys who do the cartel packs

Also I do believe a successful applicant to failure would pop their raid buffs during dps downtime just to annoy beast

  5. Me too! But you are playing on the Imp side more?

Are there really so few apac guilds?

There used to be alot of APAC guilds but unfortunately most called it quits on server mergers from the APAC servers or due to the direction the game is taking currently.

Repeating content that has already been progressed and cleared a couple times gets old.

Im not just talking about Operations, its everything in between.

ALOT of trust between players and developers has been lost, with alot of broken promises on stuff

Bioware overhypes the most basic of ****

Too many bugs that should never make Live server from PTS do so and remain on live server for far too long.

    the list goes on....................

The game may seem great for those new coming into it but for the veteran players they see this game being on its last legs.

Seems like its becoming a subscription RPG more everyday, i sincerely hope Bioware do realize that what keeps alot of people playing MMOs is the "communities" and with no real endgame content those communities tend to die

  6. So I'm returning to SWTOR after a long break, but I'm a very seasoned MMO player.

I have a massive gripe with 2 bosses thus far from story mode: Sword Squadron in the Temple of Sacrifice and Master and Blaster in The Ravagers. Simply put, these bosses are WAY WAY too hard for their locations. The entire point of story mode is to be done by PUG's. Most story mode ops I've done thus far have gone fairly smoothly, with the notable exceptions of Ravagers & ToS.

In essence, the last boss of a raid (or operation) should ALWAYS ALWAYS be the most difficult boss of said raid. This is fundamental logic 101: The last boss should be the most difficult boss. End. Of. Story.

I've seen multiple groups wipe on Sword Squadron & Master and Blaster. Many groups fall apart at these bosses. And every single group that gets by these bosses goes on to complete the operation.

It would be wise to tune these bosses properly for story mode. There's no reason they should be progression blockers. They can be difficult in hard mode, but not in story mode. To do otherwise would be completely illogical.

    /facepalm

Im sorry but those 2 bosses are not at a difficulty in which they are overtuned for SM.

Pug groups are terrible these days and content should not be dumbed down even more because people want to complete content with no effort required.

if people want to sit and tunnel boss, ignore mechanics, spam auto attack and win, they should go play hello kitty online.

    /thread

  7. <Vice> Will do the same for 20mil ! and our guild name doesn't make you feel like your going to "fail" lol msg Avagalene, Medical, Acilabeth for runs ;) capitalism

Who are Vice? sounds like another bad guild I know that has a 4 letter name.

I'd rather pay 30mil for a competent group like failure over no names charging 20mil.

  8. again 4 weeks isnt a long turnaround time for a fix... neither is 6 really... depending on what was going on behind the scenes when they tried to fix it... it might seem simple to people but people dont get that fixing one thing has the huge potential of breaking something else... whats the point in fixing an exploit if it opens another? It needs to be tested and it cant get fixed and pushed live right away... they have to test around it and test a lot of things to make sure these things aren't going to break... thats not something that can be done in a few hours...

Yet when something is wrong with a cartel market item and we have emergency maintenance the next night with a fix.

Honestly if they wanted to they could have had a fix for this in a week but I'm guessing it wasn't high on their priority list.

What I really think is this is a conspiracy by bioware to lure the veteran players into using this exploit,

then letting it go on long enough so they can then ban them all in one fell swoop.

They can then deal with a new player base that only cares about story and is fine with no group content.

Am I the only one right now that thinks for the amount subs pay per month, what we have gotten for that the past 18months isn't that much?

I'm betting there will be more content in fallout 4 DLC next year than what BW release in swtor

  9. 4.0 Firebrand and Stormcaller Operation is not for new players. My thoughts was Story mode for Explosive Conflict was suppose to teach NEW players how to do a operation. 4.0 Firebrand and Stormcaller has proven to me time and again , it has failed. This ops was even hard story mode before 4.0. This has not changed if SWTOR wishs new players to try this operation Something should be done to Firebrand and Storm caller. Thanks

im gonna try and be nice here.

in all honestly, it is relatively easy,

if people follow mechanics (which have been nerfed for sm many times since it originally went live.)

    you should manage it easy.

the one thing i will say, is that bioware should possibly put a sm guide to the bosses in the ingame tutorial section

so that way there is no excuse for these kinds of threads or people rocking up into operations with no ******* idea on what to do

if you are going to post a this is too hard thread, atleast explain how it is too hard.

    is it dmg output?

    healing required?

    dps required?

mechanics not balanced for the mode?

sad thing is. due to the over leveling roflstomping of old ops in 3.x people never really learned the mechanics of the old operations, or the game in general.

This has led to a playerbase of people who expect to go in a kill things with no effort required.

  10. Thank God they're not wasting resources on pvpers and raiders. If you want that crap go play WoW and enjoy your yearlong content droughts.

Yes cause most raiders and pvpers don't do the other content, most people I know were impressed with the kotfe story but kinda pissed off that all other aspects of this "MMO" are just being pushed aside.

If you play this game just for story how about you go play other games.

Personally I want all aspects of this game to be worked on.

    nuff said

and some guy in gen chat done it with lvl 15 inf companion on his/her sentinel

companions copped a nerf for sure but at the same time companions should never be better than a player.

i heard of people kicking someone from a flashpoint and using their healer companion instead they were that good

were they nerfed to hard? maybe, but not overly too much

if its 75% like some are saying then 50% nerf would have been more appropriate
