Hey all, HvRg here, resident server - Sanctum of the Exalted. New to the game and was researching the various components of the game when I came upon the Legacy System. Looks pretty cool but the one thing I'm having a problem with is a single surname as I do not really plan to roll only one race or have all my characters be related ect...though this of course is workable. Now here comes the crazy idea, which I'm not sure if it has come up but here it goes. Seeing as I'm currently hunting for some new friends to RP and run through the stories together and such (East Coast btw, on at various times throughout most days.) I was thinking, instead of a last name why not a sort of "guild name". Where all people who chose to be apart of this legacy would share a surname, tieing them together in a guild, some being family and some just bonded by the ties of brotherhood. Even Empire and Republic putting aside their differences within this group. Not entirely sure how it would work seeing as no 2 accounts can have the same surname to my knowledge (would take various combinations of symbols most likely) Perhaps it would start out as a family, 5 or so players all rolling for instance Sith Purebloods, or for more variety a race that offers more than 2 classes. It wouldn't entirely work for those who have already created their legacy but perhaps their characters could still join the respective Republic or Empire guilds that would likely be formed? idk...12am brings crazy ideas eh? Let me know what y'all think. It could be fun. The only real problems I could foresee would be too many people joining said legacy and a running out of letter combinations for no new members to join, though that would be quite a bit of people, and people deciding they did not want to be a part of this legacy guild anymore, though thankfully at level one you can not choose your legacy name, so you have plenty of time to get to know what the "guild" is about and if it's the place for you. Yup, that about covers it, y'all have a good one.
