  1. Stop trying to save face kid lol. You haven't even been playing against the people that the rest of us have been talking about in this thread. I just said in my last post there is no significant cheating in the lvl 65 bracket that I have noticed. Which is completely unrelated to this thread. I have said time and time again that the D v L event has brought in a new HUGE wave of cheating that has become a problem in warzones. I have said that SPECIFICALLY. If it makes you feel better and calms your autism I can say it again for you? Would you like me to say that meany man who hurwt your fweelings is a verwy bawd man? Would you be able to go back to stamp collecting and painting your train set if I say that? Because I'm just altruistic enough to do it to improve your quality of life if that's all it takes lol. So just before you start, don't go trying to say you've been meaning the 65 bracket all this time. If you have you should have either stated or so or should have thought about it before you opened your mouth. BUT NOOOOOo......the aspergers in you just couldn't let it go. The simple mention of the word cheat took you all the way back to one random encounter that left you butt hurt and everything you've read and said has been an interpretation of that one event that should have never even crossed your mind after it was over lol. I really should get some video recording software. Not for this dipsticks sake but just to make a gag reel of the joke that is the, and let me state this plainly, NON LEVEL 65 BRACKET LOLOLOL. Just now some shadow was harassing our healer. As is the shadows job I guess. We stun the shadow, the healer breaks away over a long distance, the shadow is standing on a raised ledge from where the healer ran. The shadow just disappears right before our eyes and reappears on the opposite side of the healer except the shadow reappears about 6 feet above the ground in midair and actually drops down to the ground from there and continues to attack the healer. Lag? Since when does lag throw people head high into the air out of nowhere while they should still be stunned lol? BULL lol. That was someone using an X,Y coordinate hack to stay on top of the healer. When they used the cheat it didn't adjust for the elevation difference from point A to point B and that's why the shadow appeared in midair and dropped down. CASE CLOSED LOL. Also, yet another occurence of someone stunned in the Huttball pit and not taking damage. Force pushed right into the center of the pit, the force push having a root effect from spec bonus. Person obviously popped her CC escape, got immediately stunned still inside the pit and had to sit it out the 4 seconds of the stun. Didn't take not a single ounce of damage. Never got healed, never got bubbled, nothing. This was a person sitting back from the action solo, going to try to snag the huttball immediately after the score and snowbird it back towards her teammates. I was the one that did the push and stun and sat there thinking "yeah bruh, there's no cheating in warzones LMFAO". Oh and another toon in the same match got forced pushed on the top ledge on the same huttball map, instead of getting knocked off she hit an invisible wall in mid air, slid back towards the middle of the ring like she was skating against said invisible wall and then ended up standing on top of one of the poles next to the fire trap. PFFFFFTTTTTTT. Give me a break son.
  2. My claims? There's like 3 or 4 other people in this thread saying the exact same thing. There's youtube vidoes of people cheating. There's a website that if his lazy butt had even bothered to Google for where people are openly having conversations about the cheat programs they are/have developed and what they are using and how long it takes them to get banned for using it lol. For starters if he doesn't believe there is any cheating going on, which would make him a complete and utter moron with just one search for that PvP forum then he should have just said his piece and moved on. BUT NOOOOO......Captain Autism Spectrum is obsessed now. He won't eat, sleep or take a dump without thinking about that one conflict he instigated in the forums with his obsessive compulsive behavior. Turns out this dingle berry is playing the 65 bracket in all his videos. Ohhh you mean the most endgame PvP content doesn't have an abundance of cheaters who theoretically are getting banned when they get caught? Who'd have thunk the people with the most played time on their toons would be the people least likely to be cheating. What a shocker lol! But really that's beside the point. His entire argument is NOT that there is no cheating going on. His argument is that one person peeved him off on a youtube channel or something and the next decade of his obsessive compulsive life will be dedicated to arguing that there are no cheaters in the game because of that one incident. All he's doing is reliving that conflict with me, playing it through his head, lashing out at the guy that left him scarred. All that garbage over some perfect stranger who he'll never meet and will never have any effect on his life unless he lets them LOL. This is textbook aspergers syndrome.
  3. ^ See what I mean about autism spectrum obsessive behavior. He's going through all that trouble over just one random thread that I didn't even start. So butt hurt. Somebody argued with Captain Aspergers over the internet and so now he has a new reason to live lol. Nice. This genius is running around in the level 65 bracket looking for cheating. Cheating we have consistently said in this thread that has gotten exponentially worse since the beginning of the LvD event. An event that you have to create a new character to participate in lol. I don't see any cheating on my lvl 65 Sent/Sorc/etc either Einstein. Mostly because people aren't going to wait until lvl 65 to start cheating and they certainly aren't going to want to get a PvP geared lvl 65 banned. My current LvsD character (only one) is in the early 50s. I'm not running warzones against people that are fully geared lvl 65s with time investments, some even with ranked investment. I'm mixed into the LvsD event crowd.
  4. Don't post anything that will get you penalized on the forums. There's already videos of people cheating out there. There's a forum full of cheaters who specifically target PvP that is filled with threads of the people producing the cheats and by the people using them and even getting banned for them. How is that not proof enough for someone lol? I had no suspicions about this guy until he became so adamant about making contact with people in game. Despite multiple written "confessions" on a forum the only two forms of "proof" he's willing to take are a video which would have your in game character in it or meeting you in person in game which would then give him your characters name. I can give you 2 good examples of why you don't want to let someone as illogically venomous towards people who call out cheating as he is know your in game character names: 1. Back when the game was fairly new I had created a crafting toon (Armormech) which I ended up not using much. A fight ensued in fleet general about a guy who named himself something ridiculous like Eyelikebooty on the RP server . (On Ebonhawk and I don't even remember the actual name). He was making the typical stupid argument that it was an RP name or a nickname or some garbage like that. I spoke up in chat and said that we as well as he knows darn well that name was made purely for sake of trolling the RP server and that if he gets banned he deserves or something to that effect. No less than 3 years later, (I know this because I was living in Europe the first year SWtOR came out and there was 3 years between when I left Europe and ended up back in my home state) somebody is going to message me out of the blue and start talking trash about names and the naming policy. Turns out it was this dude from 3 years ago, apparently he put that crafting toon on his friends list and this was the first time he happened to be on when I logged into a toon I rarely ever used. Some of these people can get something in their head, something so small that most of us wouldn't even consider it a mosquito bite and they'll run with it, obsess over it, and declare war on the whole world over it. I don't know about you but I'd rather be able to log into the game and play without obsessive stalkers. It's not worth it. 2. More recently there was a jugg that was cheating hard in warzones. Back not long after the DvL event started. By the looks of it he was just using an X,Y coordinate exploit of some kind because if he wanted to go up a floor it didn't matter what was in the way he'd just teleport straight through the floor or straight through a wall to a speed/health node and right back in the room with you lol. Another guy was calling him out every time he came across him in warzone. The jugg finally responsed and said something about not cheating that he was just a noob and I said "BS dude we've watched you teleport through walls and everything else through 5 warzones now". Later on fleet I'm getting hate tells from a level 1 on Ord Mantell telling me I'm gonna be sorry, etc. Now way too often when I'm on I get the same two toons dressed just alike and look alike but usually with different names harassing me in warzones, completely ignoring objectives to target me. If I don't play that one toon that I was getting the hate tells on? Won't see them all night. The anonymity of the internet and gaming creates a perfect environment for people with obsessive personality traits/disorders to be cowards and harass people in everything from games to having pizza delivered over and over to some 14 year old girls house after they got her IP off a forum.
  5. Actually I am done. I have nothing to prove to you and your damaged ego from having one stranger accuse you of cheating. You should grow up and move on about it. Instead your entire focus and energy is spent on trying to argue that there's no cheating going on on Ebonhawk just because you think it'll help you win some random useless encounter with a stranger that most likely doesn't even remember you or the encounter. You say there's no cheating going on so what's the big deal with this thread for you? You seem awfully obsessed with this thread and the discussions of the people in it. Why bother if you know there's no cheating? What's it matter to you? It's just another obsession for you lol. Like the guy that messaged me 3 years later on SWtOR because he thought I was the one that got his ridiculous named changed on Ebonhawk. Jeebus. I noticed you just blatantly skipped the part about the website. Ignoring evidence against you. That's not stereotypical. Also, I'm the only one that has said there is cheating going on LMAO. Per usual you're trying to zero in on one target. Obsessive compulsive to a T. There's people with more experience and probably a lot better stats in PvP that say the cheating is happening. But but but that doesn't fit your obsessive compulsive narrative so just like the website you'll completely ignore it. Uh, the whole 4chan "I'm just here to laugh" and "this is so friggin hilarious" is so played out kid. A false show of cockiness in an internet forum isn't proving anything lol. Go hit yourself in the head with your shoes and try to stick the remote control up your bum lol, I don't care.
  6. No lol I just no your aspy type and the way you people get obsessed over one little insignificant thing and are willing to start a decade long freaking war over some guy who disagreed with you about lady bug mating rituals over the internet. One guy accused you of cheating, you got into it with him and 30 years from now you'll be toothless in a rocking chair obsessively mumbling to yourself "der der der der no chee chee cheeating in Star Star wars!". And let's face it. If I post a video of someone dumping damage on me with a lag switch or teleporting around you'd just blame lag. It's not like there's anything short of a God Mode Town Kill anyone could post to this thread that you'd admit to. In your warped mind you've got too much face riding on it lol. 10? Sorry bud but a Google search for SWtOR cheats gets 6,850 results just in the videos category. Soooooo... Oh and guess what forum comes up as a top contender for "SWtOR cheats" in Google? That's right. That's right, the *********** website. It's a website for PvP people that think they are "l33tz yo". Apparently even a laymans term for that website is blocked by the forum for some reason so there you go slick. I'm sure that's for good reason lol. ;-)
  7. Except that if it wasn't against the forum rules I could post a link to several cheater forums with fresh posts by people saying what they got banned for and how long it took them to get banned. I find it intriguing to say the least that you're so butt hurt that people KNOW there is cheating going on in this game. If you're that thin skinned about 1 guy accusing you of cheating then grow a pair lol. If you're butt hurt because you're cheating and don't want attention called to the cheating that is going on then stop cheating. I really don't know what other kind of advice to give you Mr. Angsty lol. There are multiple people on this thread that have been playing since the earliest days of SWtOR that KNOW we are seeing cheating. I can confirm it myself by going to the forums and seeing they are getting banned for everything from speed hacks and lag switching to some kind of infinite power exploit (for powertechs I think it was?). You being in denial about it doesn't change the fact that the cheaters are on cheat forums sharing and talking about the cheats they use LMAO. I may be a paranormal investigator that only sees things when no one else is around lol but you're the guy being made sweet love to by a Sasquatch while you're screaming "This isn't happening! Bigfoots not real!". And no I won't be doing any warzones with you. I don't know who you are, don't care who you are and I've already experienced harrassment from getting some of these DA banned before. That's how I know some of them were cheating because they simulate their stupid names from before and harass me in /say in warzones lol. They even go to the trouble to dress the same lol. For all I know you may be a cheater and just want get my characters name. WTH do I care if you don't agree with me? You're wrong and I know it and that's all the confirmation I need lol. I tried getting Play.tv to work but it was basically dead software for this game. I'm gonna try OBS and see if I can catch these people on video, to go along with their confessions in the cheater forums lol. Maybe those 2 things along with a brand new tube of Boudreaux's butt paste will be the holy trinity for your anal ache and you can stop this personal vendetta against people that see cheating just because you're mad at one guy. Drop the obsessive behavior disorder it's just as annoying on the internet as it is in real life. He probably doesn't even pay attention to what's going on in game 90% of the time. It's obvious he runs with a dedicated group the majority of the time and his UI is full of mods so he probably plays by text more than he does visual que anyway. Warhammer Online was one of the worst games about UI players, sometimes you could hardly even see what was going on ahead of their toon in their videos because their UI was so modded and enlarged. He's got a rotation along with a guild rotation and most of their fights are probably typical rehearsed fights anyway. I used to 8 man some in DAoC before our alliance got wiped for radar hacks and premade is nothing like trying to survive + win in a random PUG. In a PUG you're playing by the skin of your teeth 90% of the time and it's all reactionary and disorganized. Nothing like playing with a dedicated team that know their job and know what to expect. Lag switching/etc will bend over a PUG much faster than a rehearsed premade and is therefore far more noticeable.
  8. That's what I was wondering when I read that post lol. I usually run 65-70 FPS and sometimes it drops down into the 30s if there's a lot going off on screen. The human eye is not supposed to be able to detect anything over 30 fps but if I get below 40-45 it kinda makes the action look sluggish or something. Trixxie thanks for the recommendations I'm gonna try to download one of those as I've been wanting to make some gaming videos for chits and giggles anyway.
  9. No yeah definitely, no one else in this thread has said they see hacks in warzones. None. Zero. /sarcasm Ok so you're gonna follow me around with fraps on lol? Is there a free version of fraps I can download and record warzones with? I think all of us who are looking at the current warzone situation logically know these things are going on. For some reason there's always 2 distinct cultures in gaming. The cheaters and the cheat deniers. There's usually quite a bit of overlap in those two but by no means is do the same people make up both groups which just makes the deniers even weirder. I also wonder how many of the people denying it are queing up in premades and wouldn't even notice a hack if it bit them on the butt because they're too busy being handed a win with guard/absorb/buff/bubble/ heal-heal-heal-super heal-heal-heal etc while the rest of us are taking on these cheaters while in pugs. It's kind of like someone who runs around beating people up in a group of 10 saying "nah mixed martial arts training doesn't help someone defend themselves". Well no not if they get dog piled by 10 people it doesn't lol. If it was 1 vs 1 you might notice the difference.
  10. They were zipping around on Voidstar. Couldn't have been the map speed boosts it was an entire match on Voidstar before we could even cap the first door. Like 6 out of the 8 were moving at ridiculous speeds. I mean just absolutely blazing. I was playing a sage and couldn't even keep up with them using force speed. As a matter of fact a non force speed/roll class beat me to the health node thingy before I could force speed to it. Just sucked me right up as he blazed by to get it. I may as well have been chasing in a foot race with someone on a speeder. I noticed someone else state a *** moment about their movement speed in chat when they blew the first door in voidstar and pretty much just blew past all of us, even people like me trying to use force speed to get in a defensive position at the bridge controls. That's what I'm wondering Trixxie. I'm thinking maybe it's not a GCD hack but instead they're lag switching to get all that damage to pop off instantaneously so you won't have time to pop bubble/heals/stims. If it was random and not convenient in the situation I'd write it off as incidental lag but it's the timing is just too freaking sweet for them to finish you off when you could have otherwise used a get out of jail card to survive. It also always seems to be that 1 freaking person doing it over and over rather than this guy this time, that girl next time, etc. Always jerk number 1 and always just when he needs it to. And yeah I'm definitely seeing the same person multiple times in a warzone. As I mentioned to another guy in game that was commenting on the fuddy duddy that's going on in PvP lately even though it's not always the same toon the name and looks of the toon often times are similar. This week it maybe be a pink haired chick in the dancer bikini with pigtails and a name like Nebula and then next week it's another pink haired chick in the dancer bikini that's a lower level toon named Nebooola or Nebbuulla. I don't know if that means once they level into the lvl 65 PvP they just roll another toon to troll/cheat with or if they are getting banned and flipping back and forth between accounts. I do know I put close to 10 people I reported on my friends list on just one toon that I was 99.9999999% positive were cheating and I haven't seen a single one of them on in over 3 weeks so I hope they are getting banned but there seems to be a never ending supply of aholes if they are. I've been surfing some of the major guild forums and some forums of guilds/people I was suspicious of. There are ALOT of people coming back for this event and many were stating how much the game has changed since they played last. Maybe some of those people are getting peeved off at the changes and are tring to short cut their way to winning. It seems like with the new event there's a higher ratio of groups of 4+ that seem to be in on it together rather than solo cheaters. More so than usual anyway.
  11. LOL. Uh yeah. If people don't think that there's an exploit out there that is allowing people to either get around their GCD or either lag dump their abilities on purpose then you're not doing warzones on Ebonhawk lol. PERIOD. We had what was obviously a premade zipping around all over the board in Voidstar, I'm talking about like speeder III and once you got to about half life you'd just crumple out of no where. When their count down timer got too close for comfort and they weren't sure they could make it the warzone just ended out of nowhere with a victory for them even though we were all still fighting 2 doors back. They'd have had to capture the doors past the bridges and then at least open one of the force field walls to have one. I watched it happen again tonight with some other toons. 1 or 2 random toons obviously window dragging. It never fails these people that look suspicious are always the most aggressive to the point of harassment in a warzone. They'll completely forego objectives/enemy healers/etc to go for that one random toon over and over and over all warzone long like they're trolling that person. Insta abilities won't fire on that one toon. AoE instas will, but anything specifically targeting their toon that is an insta won't fire consistently on time. Tonight there was one sorc, with of course an idiotic attention seeking name, that would cast on you, you run waaaaay out of his range and he wouldn't move but wouldn't you know it several abilities of his would just get dumped on you out of no where even though he has been out of range a good 2 or 3 seconds. It was painfully obvious because it was ONLY him for two entire warzones and his abilities were glitching out as this was going on. You'd be out of range but his force lightning would be hitting you, but he wouldn't be in the animation for it and the lightning would be shooting out of some empty spot in the sky about half way between you and him. You can only blame so much on a random lag/glitching lol. And at least 1 out of 3 warzones there's that 1 toon that no matter how you force push them they always go straight up or in some completely random and illogical direction that is always to safety instead of off the bridge or in the pit lol. It was NEVER this bad before. Not even when there was the cheap server transfers. Even since the D vs L event warzones have gotten trashed with this nonsense and I don't think it's a coincidence that the suspicious activity has sky rocketed with an event.
  12. I don't know about bots but I'm very sure there are some conditional macros making the rounds. That and some modified UIs like they used to use in Warhammer Online. Even something as simple as an modified selection indicator on the screen can be an advantage.
  13. Siadki

    "Pub pvp..."

No healers Pub side is no surprise to me. I've been in so many matches lately with no healer on Ebonhawk pub side lately that I've been tempted to roll one but I'm tired of having healers lol.
  14. Yeah people used to scream "therez no haxxors" in DAoC too right up to the day they banned 1500 people over night for radar hacking. PERMA banned. Some guy I even help get started in the game with my old noobie guild ended up founding a PvP guild and was one of the entire guilds that got wiped that night. I was in a forum with a guy for years, since the first few months of DAoCs release and he came out and told us about all kind of exploits that a buddy of his taught him how to do in that game. **** I couldn't have dreamed up, much less accomplished. But after hearing him describe it (like stacking loot bags to get over a keep wall) it made perfect sense with some of the random crazy things you had encountered in game and didn't understand.. Line of sight hacks and exploits, speed hacks, getting over walls, adding fake climbing points to keeps, using random in game items to build bridges across water, etc. At least 2 or 3 out of 20 regulars on that forum ended up fessing up to various cheats at some point or another. The truth is there's probably waaaaay more cheating going on than any of us actually realize. And you know what? For every time you were standing safely inside a keep getting blasted by a DD ability that should have had no LoS to you there were 3 people on your team screaming "OMG THERE'S NO HACKS IT'S JUST LAG"!!!! With the anonymous nature of the internet ANYTHING that can be hacked WILL be hacked and it will be exploited by those that can barely use microsoftword because the web can hold their hand with tutorials and youtube DYI videos that can help someone who's barely smart enough to use a keyboard use exploits and hacks these days. It also doesn't help that the only people denying it in this forum have all been accused of cheating. If nothing else it says they might be biased by the irritation and annoyance that being falsely accused has caused them.
  15. Lady right here knows her stuff. It's not all about or just about what they are doing but when they are doing it and how consistently. Some guy lags once and lags all the way to safety and never does it again? Probably accident. Every time someone puts him on the ropes his connection goes to poop just long enough for him to pop up on a heal node or to get away? Yep, that's suspicious. Is the same guy that is lucky enough to lag to safety every time he gets in trouble the same person not taking damage from acid pits or fire? Double suspicious. If I wanted to I could choose 2 or 3 different people from every warzone to accuse of hacking but it's pretty obvious they are not because it's not at a good time for them, didn't really help them anyway, only happened a couple of random times, etc. Take for example this morning in Warzones it was obvious a marauder lost track of me due to some lag or either he turned his Redbull over and looked away because he was standing there dumbfounded and began spinning around trying to locate me. It obviously happens and sometimes I'm event he "culprit". I wasn't accused of cheating and I don't suspect people of cheating when it does happen randomly and insignificantly. It may not help immensely, but it probably doesn't hurt that I ran a FPS server for a long time and had to admin it for hacks and the fact that I used to catch shop lifters for a living isn't hurting me either. Pattern recognition and suspicious activity were the name of the game.
  16. You know, I'm not implying anything passive aggressively here, but the ones who seem the most adamant about there being little to no hacking going on this game are all saying they are frequently accused of hacking. As I've said earlier, I've destroyed entire teams of people (especially on Xbox Live) and have never been accused of hacking/cheating over nearly 20 years of gaming. I'm not seeing the accusations of hacking in warzones that guys are seeing. I can only recall a few instances and in those instances it was pretty clear the person was hacking because they walked through a wall/etc. As for how much hacking/exploiting is going on in this game, I can tell you, you're wrong. How am I so sure? Because I know of several cheating/exploiting websites and I see the constant "I got banned for this after 48 hours" posts in the chat and messageboards. There's tons of those posts coming in on a regular basis. So yeah, people are definitely exploiting in this game. EDIT: Just got through with warzone number 3. Pretty much the same people in each one. Another girl toon with barely any clothes on, with a ridiculous name running around with a more harassing type play style than worrying about objectives, "innocently" lag (sarcasm) glitching in order to escape death and/or catch up to someone that was way out of range. I give her the benefit of the doubt through 2 warzones. Get to Huttball for the 3rd, and she jumps me out of stealth, get's force pushed into the goo. I immediately drop down and stun her while she's standing in the middle of the goo pit. Never once took any damage. Didn't even purge the stun just stood there wiping her eyes lol and never once took damage from the pit. Someone else whispered me after the match to say they saw her not taking damage in the goo. I'm like yeah, thanks for the confirmation, I thought so. Cheating is just rampant in this game. Flat out rampant. Had it been a different toon that was lagging and didn't take damage while stunned in the pit I wouldn't be suspicious. (as if suspicious is even a strong even word, it's pretty obvious). But the same toon over 3 warzones? NOPE.
  17. Ok so I just finished a warzone. My first for the day yes but that same exact toon was in there. Guess what? Insta abilities wouldn't fire again. I got snared, wasn't stunned, was pumping the crap out of my gamepad to get my sorc to force push her off the ledge and it wouldn't go off. It finally went off after about 3 seconds of pumping the crap out of it. When it did her toon hopped like literally a foot or a foot in a half, looked more like a straight up and down skip than being pushed back. She was standing right there within arms reach of my toon and that's all I got out of force push. The guy 4 feet behind her? He got knocked just over the edge of the platform. No way man lol. Not on the same toon, not in every single warzone I play against that toon and not the same freaking MO every single time. Also as I was running to an objective from a respawn I saw her attacking a teammate. They were giving it to each other good but as I ran up and bubbled the teammate who had probably 40% health left and my teammate just crumpled with the bubble shield animation still playing on him. Neither toon lag stuttered, neither toon glitched or show any signs of animation stutter, he just got dropped with 40% health and my sorc bubble on him out of no where. Dropped like bad habit. All I can say is: "You can call it whatever you like. Take a bucket of piss and call it Granny's peach tea. Take a weapon of assassination and call it deterrence. You won't fool a fly or me. I'm not gonna drink it."
  18. I understand your explanations and actually agree with you, EXCEPT, that I don't buy that this would happen with the same person over and over again. I simply don't because it's like 1 in million odds it would happen consistently, with the same person, and in a similar situation each time. If some toon is glitching around on the screen every 20-30 seconds or so at random and an ability won't fire on them then I call LAG. If a toon is only glitching around on the screen after it gets to 10% health and survives nearly every encounter because of this "incidental" LAG then I call complete and utter BULL. I think that's the difference you're not seeing that I have seen. I have seen plenty of instances of what you're talking about. I don't know for a fact but I'm 99.9% sure my toon looks like it has done that before too. HOWEVER, I am also 99.9% sure that my toon doesn't do it every time I'm getting my butt handed to me in a fight. Which is the problem and the characteristic that makes is suspicious. Also, it seems like 90% of the time it's someone with a stupid name like Isellmyazzcheep/etc that's doing it. Do people with stupid/trollish names tend to have bad internet connections for some reason? I'm on Ebonhawk. Or what's left of it lol. The incidents of cheating went from 1 or 2 a week tops to 1 or 2 minimum per night when the cheap transfers were around. Coincidence? Increased population COULD cause some latency issues but that doesn't explain why the amount of people winning Voidstar by going straight through the walls to the last objective before the first doors were even open also went through the roof. I only watched about 7 or 8 minutes of the video but I didn't see anything I would even consider significant lag, much less cheating. I have no idea what it might have looked like to him so maybe he has a bad connection and blames it on lag. However that one person being wrong doesn't change the things I've seen in warzones. I hope you guys gave that Disastrous or whatever guy several MVP votes in that warzone though. Jeebus he was healing so fast his name was over your head like 20 times at once, especially right around 4:00 or so.
  19. Sorry but you're making a presumption without having any idea what I was watching over and over. There are people that assume people are cheating due to a lack of information and there are people that dismiss cheating due to a lack of information. For starters why was he the only one doing it? Only his machine was lagging? I've had my ping go to crap because my wife jumped on Hulu. Guess what? The game practically stopped as far as other players actions/positions and I couldn't attack anyone. I was completely impotent during the lag, no one could be attacked or healed and when it caught up everything on the screen jumped around like it was in fast forward. When you get legitimate lag for long enough for you to close 25 yards and get behind a target you DON'T GET BEHIND THE TARGET because you have no idea where anyone actually is. Also if it was incidental lag how come he wasn't jumping around on the screen at random intervals when he wasn't in combat? Why did this lag occur every time he looked like he was retreating only to reveal he moved behind me? Shouldn't it be more random than such a particular MO every time? Why did the lag occur at such a particularly opportune time? As I've stated earlier I've been playing MMOs since the 90s and I've played a ton of Xbox Live during that time as well. Assuming I don't know the difference between completely random coincidental lag and a particular pattern of lag accompanied by a particular pattern of actions by the player is either giving me too little credit or giving yourself way too much. I think maybe people notice more than you think. ;-) As for the skill dump. NOPE. Again you're jumping to some kind of basic conclusion about what happened because you obviously think the average human can't recognize blatant patterns of behavior and peripheral indicators for context. That being that no one else was lagging during the incidents. If I'm being attacked by someone and there's other players running around taking actions around me and in the background and I lag then it's going to be visible in more than just one person. In fact it's going to be visible in all of them just like I described earlier. Not just this one particular toon that is focused on me. I wasn't "already dead" because I didn't die to the damage that occurred in THAT incident. It certainly meant I had to play my bail out and live to fight another day card a lot quicker than I anticipated because damage rarely ever comes in such a large burst from one character but I didn't die. This player was right in front of me and my insta abilities wouldn't fire on her while she was attacking me. When I tried to activate them the letter corresponding to the ability on my hotbar would just blink like if you try to activate a damage ability with no target selected. The ability also wasn't grayed out like when someone is out of range and I got no "target out of range" indicator either. I know what you're about to say LOL, YES she was targeted. She was in my target widget and I got no messages on the screen like "target not an enemy" nor did I get "no target selected". The ability simply wouldn't activate on a legitimate target. You, or at least it seems, you presume that these are occurrences that happened only once or twice with no recognizable pattern or other indicators. NO, they are an example of the same or eerily similar occurrences that occurred in relation to ONE particular toon MULTIPLE times and most of the time if I actually get to the point of being suspicious then it happened over more than one warzone. I would like to see some of your youtube videos where you say someone accused you of cheating. It'd be interesting to compare that with some of the things I've seen that looked suspicious just for comparison sake and see how similar they might be or just how different they might be. I don't know if you're allowed to post videos in the forums but you're more than welcome to message the links to them to me here at the forums.
  20. Yeah sorry people but the exploiting/hacking however you want to call it has gotten out of hand. You either acknowledge it's going on, don't know what you're talking about it or are denying it because you're doing it lol. Today there was a warzone where a particular player would be standing right there in front of you and your insta abilities wouldn't even fire on her. I had 4 bars and was having no problems with any other toons, just this one person. It was LOUD SCREAMING OBVIOUS that she was intentionally doing something akin to window dragging to prevent your abilities from firing, probably creating an artificial line of sight problem. As soon as your insta ability would finally fire like 4 or 5 abilities of hers would dump off on you all at once. If you need another witness ask Kijiji-******. Those o's are special characters for a reason, it makes names harder to spell in a /whisper or report. She' can give you a first hand account of it IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Complete and utter crap. Earlier in a warzone there was a PT that would run away from you after getting blasted (run away like 25 yards) and then just disappear and he's gone. Nope wait he's right behind you lol. Same story over and over. In the same warzone we planted a bomb with over 30 seconds left and it never went off. We were on offense first round. Everyone was like *** why did it not blow? It's just pathetic the state that PvP has been in since this ridiculous new event. The L v D event is a neat idea but all it did was bring in a bunch of clowns with social disorders that get off on making vulgar.obscene, racist, etc names and who like to cheat/exploit in warzones. If it doesn't stop I'm going to be filing a complain with the BBB against EA-BioWare. Many of us are paying to play this game and it's unprofessional and incompetent for them to allow this cheating to persist. You can go onto one of the popular cheating forums and see that these people are only getting slapped on the wrist for cheating and then they're right back at it again.
  21. That's weird. There must be something about a particular "style" of play that draws that kind of attention. I play a lot of Xbox Live (or used to when I had more time) as well as quite a few MMOs in my day. I had over 7k games of Halo 3 played and would absolutely take a dump on people in both it and in several of the Call of Duty games. I've gone as much as 40 and 0 in some team death matches. I've solo'd 3 people on my scout in DAoC. I've trampled multiple people on a witch hunter in Warhammer scenarios. Over the past 12 years I've never, not even ONCE been accused of cheating. Not a single time no matter how bad I pooped on a person or multiple persons. I've had friends that were even better in some of these instances and they have never been accused of cheating. I hear that a lot out of some of the Xbox Live users though. The ones getting accused of cheating say "people always accusing me of cheating". Well why is that? Because you didn't even have that great of a game (and don't have a great combat record) but people are constantly accusing you of cheating lol? What do they accuse you of? Could your internet connection create some kind of lag that makes it look suspicious?
  22. Out of curiosity, what would be the determining parameters of one of these hacks? Just FYI, there was a crit %/damage hack that was fairly common earlier in this game. I don't remember if it was acknowledge by BioWare or not but it was acknowledge by everyone playing PvP at the time lol. I do know there is an infinite energy hack, no clip hack, speedhack, etc. And wouldn't you know it the place these hacks are offered is PvP oriented. I'm not gonna link to the site though you can Google this stuff if you actually want to see what is available. I was actually quite appalled at what is available from a quick search just now. Of course, cheating is rarely as straight forward as out right hacking a game file anymore. If certain exploits exist it's not as easy as the classic Diablo Town Kill hack days on battle.net. Much like teleporting (window dragging in DAoC) it's exploiting the basic mechanics of the game/server/client machine to create an unfair advantage or "illegal" effect. A damage hack might not be "I HAVE A 150K DAMAGE PER TICK DOT THAT TICKS EVERY .2 SECONDS BECAUSE I CHANGED NUMBERS IN MY SWTOR FILES!!!!!" It could simply be a trick of creating client to server lag to unload NORMAL damage numbers in an extraordinary amount of time as perceivable to the poor sucker that's taking 10 seconds worth of damage in a 2 second window because of a lag exploit. It could also be a manipulation of the global cool down, it could be a manipulation of activation time, it could be the manipulation of trigger abilities such as an ability that guarantees a critical hit that is not supposed to be usable but under certain conditions. One thing I definitely agree with you one is that hacks are not "widely" used. There's not really a broad array of people that are using them. The problem though is that you run up on the same person probably 70% of the time in warzones these days so if 1 person is hacking that means nearly 7 out of 10 of your warzones are a hacked one. If you go to one of these hacker websites you'll see people detailing what they were banned for and for how long and it's usually just 3 to 7 days. So take the fact that the same people frequently pair up and the fact that punishments aren't very stiff and it does create a situation were hacking/exploiting is perceivably a "common" problem. Let's not also forget that if you're seeing obvious cheats at any consistency then it tends to heighten peoples interpretation of unexplainable events as potential cheating.
  23. It may be that BW is overwhelmed with the mount of cheating going on right now BUT.....I'm afraid the answer is probably the same as the one pertaining to Microsoft and their enforcement of Xbox Live. Slaps on the wrist give them an excuse to say "we do stuff about it" but it means the cheaters keep playing and keep paying a subscription fee while they cheat. 3 day bans/etc are a joke and do nothing to curb the cheating. It takes them longer than 3 days to even get around to banning someone. So the cheaters shrug it off and go right back to cheating. Of course you also have the problem of the game being F2P. With no entrance fee if the cheaters do get perma banned they come right back on a new account. Also lending to this problem is how easy it is to level a toon now days. You're not really losing that much IF you do get an perma ban on your account so there's not a lot of consequences that can be had for cheating.
  24. There's a certain guild on Ebonhawk that has been on a cheating rampage lately. Pretty sure they've gotten at least 4 people or more banned just over the last 2 weeks for exploiting in warzones. They also like to harass anyone that calls them out. They'll add you to their friends list and when they see you on they'll jump on the opposing realm and get tunnel vision on you for getting them banned. I guess recruitment has gotten a little desperate in some of these uber guilds. Or either their CoC are just smoke screen BS lol. (<-- most likely) This is why developers need to get on a page with Blizzard and start perma banning peoples computer id as well as just plain old perma banning these cheaters accounts.
  25. I have no idea why BioWare refuses to get rid of bots, especially the credit farmers. There's at least 6 easily distinguishable bots on Yavin 4 that I have reported and added to my friends list and they are still there to this day farming it up.
