  1. Pretty much just a bump. We're currently mostly running HM, though we do hope to get back into NM at some point. Seeking any class and role that wants to raid with a good and reasonably relaxed group of people, and who is willing to show up ready to learn (and hey, if you have things to teach us, we're open to that too).
  2. We've had some changes and now have just the one fixed ops team, but with folks coming back for 2.9 guild pugs are happening again. Looking for members of all levels and classes... and yes, we have both a ship and a guild stronghold.
  3. <insert shameless bump post here>
  4. The name we have for you isn't an existing toon name, but feel free to message me your toon's name if you'd like us to watch out for it. Also remember you can /who for any GAF member, most should be able to get you in; just mention you've already been approved on the website.
  5. Still recruiting, and there are HM (potentially NM) spots available.
  6. Short version: we can work with that. No rules about multi guild or no guild, though of course you'll only see the chat on guilded toons and we'll only know you're online on those (to ask you on a run or what have you). Voice-wise, you'll have to talk as a tank for swaps, and maybe call out to wait or ask questions (though we're as good as any group at reading chat). Conversation and being on outside ops not required, and even in ops most of the time just listening works. Don't care how often you post to forums, but reading the forum and Facebook on occasion are helpful. They're there to serve you, not the other way around. But since you said you had learning to do, and it sounds like you're willing to take some mentoring and feedback, the forums may be helpful for you. The Facebook is more to know what's going on when for more last minute events. Feel free to /who and ask for an officer (or message me here) if you have any questions, and/or to register on torgaf.com.
  7. I feel like both the guilds I'm in could be a good fit - check the links in my signature and see if you agree.
  8. Bump. Wednesday night raid has at least a couple spots open to those who want to try out. Right now running DF/DP HM plus Nefra NM, hoping to move to TFB/S&V NM. Signups are of course still available for all raiders.
  9. Hitting control-u twice seems to always fix it. However I've had to do that more and more lately, including once recently where I leveled (animation plus could add to tree) yet couldn't train skills until reloading the UI, and the label next to my portrait didn't update until after as well. Also, I've sold items and not had my total credits update until reloading the UI. I usually don't bother reloading the UI just for the friends list, though it is kind of annoying. The other things actually disrupt playing though.
  10. Not sure why I didn't think to take a screenshot, but GAF downed Nefra NM 8 man Wed 4/9 at 10:25pm eastern. I took a screenshot of my achievement and have linked to my torparse log so you can see the members (last fight, though we had same members, all in guild, for all of it). http://imgur.com/aNuqj2E http://www.torparse.com/a/642111 Hope that works!
  11. While I have no problem updating, I think it's best to go with the new thread. Glad someone started one! Anyone wants to add 31s, you know where to find me.
  12. • Guild Name: GAF (Gaming Age Forum) • Guild Alliance: Republic • Guild Website: http://www.torgaf.com • Guild Leader & Officers: Carterr (GM), Annalyse (Op Leader), Jasma'n (Recruiter), Fisk, Agar - all of us have several alts, feel free to /who GAF and ask anyone for an officer • Guild Style (PvE, PvP, RP): primarily PVE • Active Time: mostly evenings and weekends, most ops start at 8pm EST/EDT Additional Comments: Full recruitment thread is here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=655028 Open to all levels and classes, though HM ready raiders/raid leaders are especially welcome. TeamSpeak, Enjin website, Facebook group(s), and the usual guild bank and bonuses.
  13. Can you be any more specific with what you're looking for? If you're not sure, http://idealguildquiz.com/ could be helpful.
  14. Welcome to the members of Tantive IV! Still open recruiting of course, love to have more for ops.
  15. Hah, yes. While the signup runs vary depending on who signs up (and just whether everyone's having a good night), the two ops groups have had them down for quite a while and usually get 10/10 in a night. One group also has both timed NM titles. Even the signups do the HMs though, the majority of the time.
  16. Definitely a good server choice, IMHO. Check http://jcpveprogression.webs.com/ for the guilds where you stand a good chance for that DF gear. For obvious reasons I'm prejudiced (being recruiter for GAF) , but from there I'd look through the guild recruitment section (top of the page in the server section) and see who seems to fit your style.
  17. While we don't have fixed spots open right now, GAF could definitely use more raiders for the signup ops, which run HM DF/DP twice a week. Here's our thread and feel free to pm any questions: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=655028 Best of luck in your search and hope to see you in game!
  18. GAF has signups (usually) twice a week at 8 - if that's close enough, our thread's here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=655028 Hope to see you in game and best of luck in your search!
  19. The answer is it doesn't, but I have to ask, what's your preferred faction? Of course I may have guild homes for you either way. On 'pub side, I'm in (and recruit for) GAF. It's a more serious, endgme focused guild, but respects that everyone has a different play style and that real life will always come first. If you wish to become a raider, we'll gladly help you learn to gear, optimize, and generally learn your class(es). Sometimes that means coaching, sometimes pointing to websites. If you prefer to solo and do fp's, that's welcome as well. Sarlacc Snack is an imperial guild, pretty darn casual, small, not raiding (yet), etc. but it's a good group of mature folks there to help each other and generally play nice. We do have a pretty strict no trolling/ganking policy, but are otherwise pretty laid back and do our best to be a resource for any play style. Both have threads here, if you search. And feel free to PM any questions you may have.
  20. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=729182 sounds like a vote for warzones....
  21. If you put augment slots in legacy gear, yes, you can transfer the augs to your alts. However, the gear piece takes on the highest level requirement of its pieces - for example a hat with level 15 armoring, 15 mod, 15 enhancement, but 25 augment would require level 25 to be able to wear it. (If you took the aug out a 15 could wear it again; it's not a permanent change.) Hope that makes sense.
  22. Also keep in mind that belt/bracers don't have set bonuses, the only pieces that do are head/chest/hands/legs/feet. And those can't be bought, unless you count paying people to drag you through ops. Set bonus pieces are only from tokens dropped in ops (for 72, HM TFB or S&V, or SM DF or DP).
  23. What they said. But I'd add check if any moddable (usually orange, occasionally purple, droid parts sometimes green...) piece is heavy, medium, light, or adaptive armor. You want the highest your class can handle of heavy/medium/light, or adaptive which automatically becomes that. It will affect your armor rating. Usually drops when you're solo leveling will be correct, but always good to double check, and when grouped it's something to watch for.
