I am wondering if it is viable to level up a Sage in a healing spec? I usually find that in most games, if I level up with the role that I want to play end game, I tend to have a much better feel for the mechanics and abilities of the class, so I like to do that whenever possible. I know it would probably be a bit slower, but I'm ok with that, as long as it isn't completely frustrating.
And one more question, on a related note, does the Jedi Consular get a tanking companion right away like the Sith Inquisitor? I assume that this would make leveling as a healer more tolerable. I would not like any spoilers as I have not done any of the Republic side story, if that is ok. I would probably just go with Sith Sorcerer, if I hadn't done the 1-15 or so quests twice already... but anyway I think I am just rambling now, so I appreciate any answers, and any advice in general as I am brand new to the game.
