  1. Was about to post the same, would be nice to see amount healed on you on the same screens or videos A guildie asked me if I couldn't PvP, and I said "Sure I can, if no one attacks me or if I get loads of heals". But sorry, you get your face melted without those heals (even worse than other classes). Was also getting my hopes up when you claim you won't show us you rapeing low-levels, but ofc you couldn't resist showing that anyway (although I were surprised a while when you werent recieving heals... until I saw the level on your opponent) Nice going vs. the operative though and very professional video. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Yup, wounding shots eats way to much energy imo. Guess we have to aim for alot of crit-gear. Since I only PvE with my GS I just tend to use flurry of bolts until I hit the top energy-bracket, ofc depending on the situation
  3. To all the guys proclaming scrambling field is teh ****. Are you serious? There are so many fights you must stay mobile. Also, I've never seen an issue with keeping the tank alive, in our raids, it's the dps'ers and healers who dies first cause of adds/aoe/moving bosses/random aggro. And since you constantly have to move out of harms way and move to different tasks as AoE, all our great tools, including our dps, goes out the window. As a final point, my job as a GS is so much more to do DPS than to spend alot of time running next to the tank, who again, is hard to cover with the field cause of bosses beeing huge. Then run back to a safer position. You loose waaay to much dps (hello enrage).
  4. Well if they survive 15 seconds or if your hunker down is on cd, then you're f****d. Oh wait, they just moved out of LoS and you gotta get our of cover, you're f****d anyway
  5. You have precision in your comments Karast, really well made posts with content that I agree 100% with.
  6. Tbh, I believe you're the only one with real 16 man OP experience discussing this Karast... or atleast it feels good to know I'm not alone with theese opinions. I can confirm your DoT-aggro, I always use detaunt after first rotation and then as often as I can.
  7. You pretty much sums it up Karast. About AoE-shield. You can't be serious? 1: You have to move alot in boss fights. 2: Those 15secs is a very short time. 3: Bosses are extremely large in this game, it's very hard to actually cover the tank without beeing infront of boss. 4: Healers don't exactly have a hard time keeping tanks up in this game, unless enrage and then your AoE shield aint much anyway. 5: The time you loose on running next to tank and putting it up and later running back to your spot. That time is needed for dps. Only me with theese experiences?
  8. Did they fix the bug where you can't use aimed shot from natural covers? Haven't checked it since I only use portable cover (just cause of that bug).
  9. Think this is where we disagree. In my opinion, no, there is no time to go in and out of cover. So when we disagree on this, we disagree on the entire problem
  10. Appreciates your thoughts, I also like to remind you guys that I absolutely love my gunslinger and I'll keep taking it to raids. Some things I like to adress: Dealing dps we can absolutely do, I believe we can top any list although two very important conditions must be filled for this to happen: 1: The fight must be static for us (a lot less if you are specced dirty fighting). 2: You must be able to avoid damage There are alot of boss-fights where theese two conditions are not met, (2 mostly causes 1 not to happen). Last boss in Esseles is a good example. First boss in Karaggas is another, 3rd aswell (the dude chained by little piggies). Unless I mix Karagga and EV together... I constantly run on the esseles boss and just use my hemmorage when he chokes. Anyway, since you always got to move, there's no use of our static defenses. No hunker down and no cover screen. Thus, your survivability is extremely low. The low CD on dodge is lovely though. The challange that every class faces, to avoid the nasty AoE/swipe, you now have to do with medium armor and very low hp. Even if you have popped every defensive cd you have, you are still too squishy. I have absolutely stopped going for cunning, I must max my endurance. Stendar, your points are nice if the two conditions are fulfilled (when you're on the move or dead). I gotta agree that our XS-Freighter is the coolest skill in the game You can very rarely interrupt in 16 man OPs. Sure, 5%crit buff and our armor debuff is nice... but I could also go back and be needed for my mark of the wild and innervate Also: Reason I made this point is when my commando-friend just laughed at me when I cc'd a champion droid in Maelstrom HM, he burned it downed/tanked it himself while we killed the other... I would have died from 5-10 hits
  11. Hiya I love my gunslinger, it's been loads of fun playing it. But when I now attend to OPs alot, both 8 and 16 men, normal and hard mode, I've started to wonder why on earth I should be there and make chances slimmer than if they had picked another dps-class. Gunslingers are super squishy. Alot of the bosses, you have to run around to avoid AoE, swipes, Get adds etc. etc. Which means I can't dish out nice dps. On a sidenote, I've been running mostly dirty fighting, god knows how much I'd suffer from sharpshooter. But gosh my energy-costs! I love my gunslinger, I picked it just cause I thought it really would shine in pve, beeing all static with the cover, but it really is making operation-life harder for the whole guild. No one complaining ofc since we're friends, but it's annoying myself as a gunslinger. Comments? Spare me the *would you like some cheese to that* please, just want to know if you got the same experience or any other thoughts.
