  4. Hi. The 2016 Youtube video is invalid. The 2016 googledoc is invalid. The Imperial Armsmaster is apparently found as part of the main quest CRYSTAL BALL, sub-mission 'Confront Lord Loyat'. And you find this level 50 NPC in the map 'Lord Loyats Stronghold'.
  5. Bump. Confirmed "Devastating House Organa", map Kaamos Territory, Organa Surveillance Camp, Coord x1254,-2778. 15 Strongs to kill.
  6. Hi. Since all datacrons are also a Codex, you might want to look at the codex listing which is in the tracking spreadsheet being hosted at Ootinicast.com. Latest version is April 2020. It lists the codex and the associated datacrons. >Gasguy
  7. Hello. An updated codex tracking spreadsheet, Version April 2020, has been posted for access at Ootinicast.com, on the right hand side of the main page. The updates are though Patch 6.0 (10/22/2019), covering the planets of Onderon and Mek-Sha. I have made changes to 312 items, which is adding 179 new entries, and updated 133 more with better details or corrections. This sheet allows you to track by character class, and I have included identification of codices which are exclusive to that class, or are bugged, or Not achievable. Those considered “not achievable” are due to either being not applicable to your character, or may have been removed from the game and thus given a status of “lost knowledge”. The total number of codices in the game continues to grow. In September 2014 it was 1,003. We now in March 2020 have a list of 1,323 items. Because some codices can be collected by both Republic or Empire characters these are given their own separate listings in my tracking sheet, thus totaling 1,979 target items. So for example, with my Smuggler, if I subtract the 669 items which are “Not Achievable” and the 18 which are “Bugged” I have a real target list of 1,292. I have successfully obtained 845, which is 65%! Not bad for 5 years of playing! What is a bit aggravating is that I have achieved come codices and have no idea where/how I got them!! Guess I’ll have to re-do some class stories all over again. I could also get more if some of these were not based on Mario-Jumping, an in-game skill I have yet to master. Along with the codex information the spreadsheet also has spreadsheet tabs for “story Tracks”, Alliance companion story lines, Bounty Contract Week tracking, MCR-99 Droid tracking, and the KUAT Assembly Codes. Have fun, stay safe and click on all the blue glowey items you can find!! >Gasguy
  8. Thank you both for the quick and correct information. Just to be clear, from the Republic point of view, this is daily mission "Red Hull Retribution" from the NPC Rayche Emperva at 1007,361 in Raiders Cove. Plant the flag and kill 3 NPCs. The pirate gangs change each day/time, so it might be White Maw one time and then Deaths Claw the next time, etc. None of them are referred to as 'ambushers'...and given that I'm planting the flag and initiating the fight it seems like I'm more of an ambusher than they are. So you have to do the daily at least 12 times to complete the achievement for 100 kills. And similar for Imperial faction toons.
  9. Hi. Where are the Ambushers??? The overall achievement is called "A Pirate's Life". It's composed of both Republic and Imperial sided sub-achievements. 3 stage Howling Tempest Reputation (20 kills), Sterling Reputation (50 kills), Flawless Reputation (100 kills). Each of these require the PC to Defend "your" reputation against attackers throughout Raider's cove. {Note: Raider's Cove}. And the counter uses the x/20, x/50 & x/100 referencing "Ambushers Defeated" The other similar 3-stage sub-achievement for the other faction is named Red Hulls's Reputation, Exceptional Reputation, and Unmatched Reputation. Somehow during my normal questing I managed to find and kill "ambushers" of both, thus proving they exist somewhere/somehow. But I can't find them now. They are not part of the dailies. Not part of either Flashpoint (Blood Hunt, Battle of Rishi). A Google search, nor Dulfy nor SWTOR-SPY.com have produced any information. Where are the Ambushers???
  10. Hello Codex hunters!! Gasguy here with a long overdue update on the topic of the pesky blue glowey thingies called codexes. As of May with patch 4.4 in place the game now lists 1,141 codex entries. Of course with duplication by faction, bugs, lost knowledge and other assorted sorting issues my tracking spreadsheet says there is a possible 1,797 entries to spend your time finding and tracking. I've been working on these for a while now and can report I have a success high of 61% on my Republic Smuggler. Back in October with the release of KOTFE, we got 39 new items, with Patch 4.1 in February another 6, with Patch 4.2 in March we got 5, and another 5 with Patch 4.3 in April and finally 7 more with Patch 4.4 in May. I don't have all the details on all of these yet, but they have been added to the latest version of the codex tracking spreadsheet, along with updates to 74 previous listings. (these are shown in the "Version Change" column, which is column w, in the spreadsheet). Many of those updates are related to my completion of the story line for the Imperial Agent story, level 65. I'm working the KOTFE stuff now. We'll see how that goes. To access the latest version of the tracking spreadsheet (May 2016 version) jump over to Ootinicast.com and click on the tool bar on the right side of the main page.
  11. ++++++++++++++++++ It bears mentioning that you have to 'register' with MS as a pre-view customer, and agree to a lengthy user agreement, and there are lots of 'warnings' about the viability of the new not fully tested software..."Note that if you ever want to stop receiving Insider Preview builds you may need to remove everything from your PC and reinstall Windows"... you should not install to your 'everyday PC'. So I didn't fully complete this suggestion. How much of a further risk to my system is having the pre-views/pre-loads enabled? I have no way to judge that. Thank goodness I read the forums, I was just getting ready to pop $400 for a new graphics card on the suggestion of the PC repair shop to which I've already spent $400 for two failed attempts to identify/fix this problem.
  12. Hi. You may want to take a look at the Codex Tracking spreadsheet available at OotiniCast.com. It's pretty extensive. I've been working on it for 4 years.
  13. Hi. Can somebody give me advice on leveling up for 4.0, but not reference the goofed-up guide that is at TorCommunity. (It's still using old materials and had left over language from the pre-4.0 version. No quality control check before they posted it.) I don't really want to make the stuff, but just get leveled up so I can have the achievements. Thanks.
  14. Am I missing something? The header does not match the crew skill in the game? This is going to goof up keyword searches, not to mention lowering the level of belief that BW is actually paying attention to this little part of the game...
  15. Hi. I have a lvl 60 Jedi Consular. I had previously maxed affection with Qyzen Fess pre-4.0. He is now Rank 10. Now when I look at Legacy =>Companions =>Jedi Consular =>Qyzen Fess I see that there is a pending uncompleted 'alliance alert mission', which is named "Stalking the Score". How do I find/activate this mission? I have already gone to my ship and there are no pending conversations to be had with him. I tried giving him a few gifts and raised the affection a bit, but that did not trigger any conversation need. Advice/Ideas please..??
  16. Hi. 1) The title is "Unassailable" and is obtained if you implement the security key function and talk to the Security key vendor NPC on the fleet. 2) The two Ziost lore objects are easy to get during the 'dailies' Galactic History 94: The Sacking of Coruscant Galactic History 95: A cold war begains 3) The codex category of Epic Enemies is no longer a valid category in the game, but I still have my tracker set up that way and had that Shellback Nerf listed. So I guess we are both a bit right...?? He is a world boss for an achievement.
  17. Hi Codex Hunters. In preparation for the upcoming game update and changes, I've sent to Ootinicast.com an updated Codex Tracking Spreadsheet, version August 2015. You can access it from the right side of their web page. Discussions in recent shows about the changes to attributes switching to 'mastery' will have some impact on Datacrons. If you are tracking your Datacrons remember that they all have an associated codex, and you may find the tracker helpful in your acquisitions and mapping out which ones you are going to go for. The in game list of codexes is currently at 1,079. This updated tracking sheet does not have many changes, I only have 4 new additions: Two Lore on Zoist, 1 Title on the Fleet and 1 epic enemy on Alderaan (I finally went back with a level 60 to smack around the Shellback Nerf, which is a world boss). But I also made updates to information on 47 other line-items for clarity. Additional information on the majority of codexes is to be found a SWTOR-SPY.com. I am currently leveling a Consular and am on Belsavis at Level 46. So I'm still working to get that characters codices correctly listed. Finally, if you are working achievements and are interested in the "Loremaster" title, I have added a tracking column which pertains to just the codexes you need to acquire. Due to the duplication of some codexes on some planets, the 132 I have listed are more than is actually required for the achievement. Please take a look at the 2013 SWTOR Galactic Loremaster achievement guide found on Dulfy.net for specific details. Please let me know of any changes or additions. Good luck and good hunting.
  18. HI. I just found out that there are UN-announced Codexs' on Yavin-4. Upon completion of the battle with the 'big guy', you are awarded a specific title for your class. I have identified these so far: Smuggler Title: Immune to Persecution Knight Title: Jedi Battlemaster Warrior Title: The Empire's Wrath Trooper Title: Consular Title: Inquisitor Title: Bounty Hunter Title: Imp. Agent Title: Can you help fill in the missing ones?
  19. Hi Codex Hunters. The master spreadsheet has been updated and now lists all the Rishi and Yavin-4 codexes. My thanks to SWTOR-spy.com for their information. Please head over to OotiniCast.com for the link to the codex spreadsheet. <Gasguy>
  20. Hello Codex Hunters . This is what I have been able to find for the Codices on Rishi (so far, I don’t have them all). With the roll out of patch 3.0 on 12/2/2014, the planet Rishi in the codex listing lists there are 30 codex to be found: Beast = 4 (5 found) Locations = 4 (all found) Lore = 7 (all found, not clearly indicated...see below) Organizations = 5 (4 found) Person of Note =7 (3 found) Species = 1 (found) Planet = 1 (found) I have obtained 35 so far... 21. You can get there as an Imperial player, but the Mandalorians are allies (green) and not killable. That location is correct.
  22. Hello Codex Hunters!! Here’s some updates. I think during the 9/92014 2.10 patch that two bugged codices on Corellia were repaired. Then the 12/2/2014 3.0 patch made another change to one of those codex’s. Planet: Corellia Type: Species Codex: Drall Map: Government District Faction: Either. Imperials must fights some mobs. Coordinates: 3383,-2250 Is a wall panel in the Drall Library, which is not too far from the Republic taxi area. Planet: Corellia Type: Species Codex: Selonian Map: Labor Valley Faction: Either. Imperials must fight to get there. Coordinates: -3648,-1030 Is a plaque on a stand next to a modern art sculpture down in the Selonian tunnels. Planet: Corellia Type: Species Codex: Selonian Map: Blastfield Shipyards Faction: Republic only Coordinates: 75,1821 Is a plaque on a stand near the Republic medical droid in the lower left part of the map. So that means there are TWO Selonian codex locations either of which are accessible for Republic players. I confirmed this with two different alts. More updates soon.
  23. Thank you. I confirmed your suggestion, and that works. I also updated SWTOR-Spy.
  24. Hello. As an empire player, how do I activate the taxi location “Elysium Thranta” on Alderaan in the Glarus Valley? Fact 1: I have found and activated all normal taxi locations. Including Outpost Ghrent. Fact 2: I am aware that in Patch 2.2.2 in July 2013 this codex was revised to just be for empire players. Fact 3: I have obtained this codex previously with a Warrior. I can fly on a thranta to the end point location. But I don't remember how I activated the taxi to allow this to happen. Fact 4: I am aware that the Sith Inquisitor story line has a non-combat quest in which the character enters a phase window @ -714,-311 in the Glarus Valley (north of the river), which then makes him/her ride a thranta to the end point location. See youtube video named “SWTOR Guide: Sith Inquisitor Class Quest: personal shuttle to the Elysium”. Fact 5: The Elysium Thranta (taxi) is up in the air on the walkway, above x-461,-91. Fact 6: The outpost Ghrent Thranta (taxi) is @ -964,94 in the Glarus Valley: southern cliffs. Fact 7: I have consulted SWTOR-SPY.com and it does not give clear instructions on how to 'start flying'... just that you have to fly a thranta to the end location. How do I get to the end point location? How do I activate the taxi? Your advice is appreciated. GasGuy
