  1. Yup. "Launcher error: Code 954 - RepositorySync_Error_StallTimeout" Not Steam, downloaded, but still is locking with 'checking update'
  2. As I looked before. I looked again the way suggested. It hasn't changed. Maybe I am doing wrong. I used the space map. On the bottom at the left side there is a picture of a planet. Clicking on that shows a map of my ship. That is not what I am looking for. I am looking for the amount items I have for using the linear fight like the one for "Jabiim Escort" To buy ship armor items, or ship power up items, etc. The items are only for the linear ship fighting. It's a fun game at the Galaxy Map part of the ship. But knowing what you already have is necessary to know what level of new ones you must buy. I can't find that information anywhere.
  3. I can't find a way to see the Fleet parts on the ship for the strait-flight combats. How do I find that, so I know which new parts to add?
  4. Let me know if you find one. The only one I found was 5.x one. I can find the set and tactical advice, but not a skill setup or rotation. I could probably figure them out. But don't know the BiS. It's a DPS so 110% accuracy and at least 7% Alacrity. Power has a cap, so mastery/power and usually more critical. Not sure on Engineering.
  5. Thank you! This is a ton of information clarified everything I understand. Most people that were talking about things were good at it and a beginner like me were totally confused! This should be pinned since it explains everything very well!
  6. Reading up on everything has left me in total confusion and the guides for actual modding gear for PVE Marksmanship. Any help on what mods I should be using in a gear set like Established Foothold? People talk about upper limits on alacrity, critical, etc, but I have no idea how to apply that to modding and all guides I've seen about that are back several years. And all the actual guides I see are for PvP and I only want to do Ops and MM FPs so I'm not sure the guides apply.
  7. In 6.0 is Establish Foothold that much better in PvE? Established Foothold centers around Entrench and only applies the DPS bonuses while in entrench. But in a Boss fight I generally have to move quite often so I'd lose the bonuses. Precise Targeter reduces Laze Target and gives extra. Is that useful? It reduces Target Acquired by 15 seconds, but the original cooldown is quite long even with high alacrity. Any opinions? I have both sets, but I haven't modded or augmented them completely and needed advice before I spend tons setting them up further.
  8. Dunno. People are playing the game. And Cartel Market costs Cartel Coins, it's not free. It's preferred or Subscribe. I don't see that as being depriving the elite. And Rocket Boosts are as useful, even more useful than the Unlock Speeder Pilot 1 and that's on Cartel Market. I get a lot people asking how to get it. I got it off Cartel Market long ago as part of a "Get Around" pack that was geared towards new players. That's not there now. There's not really packs to help new players and there's a lot of new players, subscribing etc. A lot of people tout that millions are easy to get. I'm 75 and I'm not handed 2 million. Unlocks require legacy levels and that requires having to play at least two characters for a while. Many people could use it TO get characters around, not use it to get around after you've spent hours already playing. I'd like to see it available on Cartel Market. That's not free. That doesn't require you to level 2 characters and accrue 2 million credits. If you buy it off Cartel Market, you're not Free to Play, so you're not depriving subscribing crowd.
  9. Rocket Boost used to be on Cartel Market. And there used to be new player packs. They don't seem to be there. The only way is paying 2 million credits to unlock Rocket Boost from legacy. It seem harsh, since the people that want it are low level or Free Players and they don't or can't have 2 million credits.
  10. That's the trouble. It's not on Fleet. I thought maybe Tatooine because that's the only place I know that has Dewbacks. I checked all the cantinas I know there and most don't even have vendors. I also thought Rishi since they do weird things, but not there either. Someone linked them on fleet general so they exist. Ah well, I'll have to go with Peppered Bantha Steaks.
  11. I was looking for it for a friend but can't find it in the game. Is it there somewhere?
  12. So I have to wear that stuff? I guess I can outfit over it, since the shell is not my favorite style.
  13. I have the Victorious Pioneer set that is supposed to give 50%. I does say 7/7 pieces. I can't tell if it is giving me the XP bonus but the Armoring is open and it's set to armor 8 empty so I die a lot. I assume the Mod and Enhancement are available to fill, they always were. But am I allowed to add an Armoring and not knock out the XP bonus? I can't tell from all these messages.
  14. Thanks. That actually makes a lot more sense!
  15. I haven't ever done the HK-55 quest that starts on Belsavis but I see 'HK-55 Bonus Chapter' in my KOTFE chapter list. So I am confused: Do I have to do the Belsavis quest with gathering parts in order to complete the HK-55 quest first? Do I lose HK-55 at the beginning of KOTFE? If so, can he be gotten back along with other companions at the kiosk thing? Does the Bonus Chapter grant HK55? Or restore him? Can I complete it if I can see it on the list or is it on everyone's list but inaccessible to some? I have no idea if I was subscribed continuously 2 years ago during the window of time to activate the chapter. Can anyone help me with this? or should I just buy a companion off GTN or CM and level it with maintenace or delicacies? Thanks
  16. I wonder about these things too. Also, what about legacy storage on strongholds? Has anyone done this? Does legacy items transfer? I have a ton in there that I'd like not to lose. Is there anyone that knows these things or is it just a 'try at your own peril'? I'd really love to merge my two accounts too, but I know that's not an option.
  17. Thanks for the help, that clears things up a lot!
  18. I know Khem keeps breaking it with his AoE taunt, so I just put him on passive and pull things to me before engaging him.... however... I have a separate problem... When I Mind Trap things while soloing PvE and don't kill the thing or try to sneak past it, I'll stay in combat until I kill it or walk slowly out of range. Is this because Khem thinks it's still alive and attacking us? Or is this the way it's supposed to work?
  19. It seems to me that now there are 3 brackets? When I first tried PvP in the late teens and 20s everyone seemed to be about that level. I tried again after 30 and now it looked like I was up against people 30-54? So people who were 50 before 2.0 have full PvP gear with tons of expertise? I'm confused. Looks like the new brackets are: 10-29 30-54 55 Or was I just lucky/unlucky and it's 10-54 and 55? Or just all one big bracket?
  20. I really haven't had that sort of experience at all, but I've been on the Republic side not the Empire side. I have not tried randomly RPing with people in Cantinas either, but most of those are just idling there for the resting exp. But, If people learn to RP by following the examples of the built in storylines and npc interaction, on the Empire side everyone is going to be a jerk and try to push you around and be your superior, even if they're not. The game teaches that. There's no real middleground on a lot of the built in storyline, either you're a psychotic wacko or a saint a lot of times. Like everyone has said, if you want RP even on this RP server, you need to join a RP guild. I'd ask around in General on the fleet for a RP guild. People usually rank them 'heavy' or 'light' RP. Or /cjoin RP and ask on there. I don't know about SW:TOR, but elsewhere the convention seemed to be that OOC was put in parenthesis or double parenthesis, or just prefaced with OOC. I guess there's a guild recruiitment forum for the server too. I noticed your sig has 'Bounty Hunter' in it. A friend of mine who RPs on the Empire side pointed out that Bounty Hunters tend to be 2nd class citizens in the Empire. Alien races too, obviously.
  21. Thanks. I am totally new to the game, so many of the basic mechanics of the game still confuse me. I don't mind being a healer part of the time, but I've never had the patience or mentality to do it full time in the other games I've played. Sorry for the semi-qq question. You've given me the hints I need to figure it out, I think.
  22. I'm new to SW:TOR, completely. And especially new to Sorcerer. So I get to level 10 and set my advanced class and first group I'm in for the Black Talon flashpoint, people are telling me to heal them. I have this one spell that popped up at an inconvenient place on my skill buttons, so I'm mouse clicking on that, even though I've done nothing but DPS for levels 1-10. So here's the thing... specs seem to break down into the one DPS 1/12/18 and all Corruption that's healing. Do you have to do one or the other in this? Heal or DPS and just spec for it. I don't want to spec Corruption and sit around LFG for every little thing, since, although I've met one or two nice people so far, I didn't bring a group of friends to level with. But, from my limited grouping, people seem to expect sorcerers to heal people. Can DPS spec still heal in leveling content or is it always a choice of one or the other? I can easily level another class, but this one seems the most fun 1-10. Thanks for any help you can give.
