    Mail down!

Same here. I tested by sending a guild mail. I got it, but no one else did and it was the only thing in my box. Relogged and the box was blank again :(
  2. My patch for 7.1.1 is stuck at the above amount remaining. Zips through to it, but then just sits there. I've tried rebooting, turning of all antivirus and firewalls, etc to no avail. I've also walked away for ~30 mins just in case it was being slow. Any help or ideas?
  3. Just fyi. Multi-select is still in the game. It just doesn't highlight those selected. Which is dumb and should be fixed. But it is still available.

  5. Yes, this is a huge issue as far as guild management is concerned. No reason to make this change except to make already boring admin tasks 9000% worse. I pray this is unintentional and will be fixed. Can't for the life of me come up with a single reason this would be necessary or wanted.

  7. Same here. I've been subbed since day one. The only time I have ever unsubbed was the absolute dumpster fire / grind fest that was 5.0. They eventually fixed it and I resubbed for 6.0. While that was a dumpster fire, calling this one is an insult to dumpster fires. Actually, this xpac is an insult to the subscriber base. Which is the reason that I too will be unsubbing. Vote with your wallet.
  8. nvm, that fixed it for 3 days. Randomly started doing it again for no apparent reason. Dumb, but whatever.
  9. Well, I found a fix, albeit an extreme one. For other reasons, I found it necessary to reinstall Windows 10. Now it does not change the refresh rate. I can just open the game and go. Weird, but at least I killed two birds with one stone, lol
  10. So why ***** about it or care? You state you don't do anything that needs them. Other people do. It's like saying, "I don't PvP. As a result, they should take PvP out of the game." Heaven forbid you ignore systems that don't apply to you.
  11. I have the same issue. Because of back and neck problems, I play using a 65" TV so I can be seated in my recliner. My TV is a 60Hz refresh with a simulated 120Hz. Every time I launch SWTOR, Nvidia switches the refresh to 120Hz. SWTOR is the only game that it does this on. Unfortunately, there is no longer an option in the Nvidia controls to force a particular refresh. The only options are "let the application decide" or "use highest available". I've set SWTOR to limit the refresh to 60hz, but that has had zero effect. My current workaround is to launch SWTOR, alt+tab to the Nvidia CP, and change the refresh rate manually. Sucks that I have to do this every time. And sometimes I forget and it freaks out after a while. An actual fix would be swell. It just seems like a SWTOR issue since this is the ONLY game it happens with.
  12. I can defend them. Planetary ownership is a guild accomplishment. They are getting rewarded, in part, through the pop-up. It's rather unobtrusive overall. Of course I haven't experienced the sticking bug. The DS/LS one I don't even notice, and it has never caused me difficulty. The renown one is annoying and pointless, no defending that one. I could really care less that I got another reknown level and box to deconstruct. My annoyance with this one has grown with double XP. The new one honesty could be the most useful of all of them. Gives me my conquest status on that toon without having to stop and pull up a menu or interface (I have 8 I do conquest on regularly and another 8 I sometimes do). However, it is now the worst because of it's size and positioning. If I could move and resize it, I would love it. If the system would suppress it as a pending notification during combat, I could live with it. If I could just toggle the damn thing off, I could live without it as I have for years. As it stands, it is god awful. I love raiding and do Ops all the time. It's bad enough in Story and a definite annoyance, especially when guildies are trying to learn mechanics and then can't see how to execute them. Higher level ops are hard enough without the UI actively making them harder. I need to be able to see to do mechanics. Pretty simple. And I'm sure the PvP crowd just loves it when it pops during an intense Warzone, lol.
  13. There should be a way to disable this new "feature". It is very obstructive to playing the damn game. I know on our 16 man SnV last night I think we spent the bulk of it complaining about the stupid pop-up. And now, there's a built-in excuse for people doing dumb **** during raids that is very hard to argue with. Either take it away entirely, or give us options to move, resize, etc. I am in the camp that it would be semi-useful if it didn't block the prime area of real estate of the screen and make playabilty suffer horribly as a result. Clearly an idiot who doesn't actually game designed it in its present state.
  14. I agree. However the reality is I have rarely seen them ever do an out of cycle patch. They will usually only do so if it is an absolutely game-breaking bug most are experiencing. I've seen them leave plenty of exploits in and say "we'll fix it next patch and if anyone uses it between now and then we'll suspend people". Long story short, good luck with getting an out of cycle fix.
  15. This workaround works to a T. Just used it and had no issue.
  16. There's a workaround in the bug section involving killing the Assassin in the first row last. I cannot verify that it works as I have not personally tried it. For ease of reference, the thread can be found here.
  17. I'm shocked that you're surprised. The whole point of the CXP grind was to force everyone into it. Be glad you got an exemption for as long as you did.
  18. This would be true in theory. However, I just accidentally deleted a mail and clicked NO on said corresponding screen. It still deleted the mail. Thankfully, it was just a single augment that I can easily replace. Had it been something more important... It just seems stupid and counter intuitive to change something like this after 5+ years. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it as it was. This feels like a change to make a change and have extra crap in the patch notes. I would say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but I've seen this movie enough to know otherwise. BW will continue "fixing" stuff that is pointless, breaking stuff that was working properly, and aggravating and alienating long time subscribers. Awesome business model.
  19. WOW, just WOW. Honestly, I don't really know what to say. If the release of a grindfest RNG gear system wasn't enough to make me quit (and I've been here since the original Early Access on Kinrath Spider), this happens. In all honesty, I'm glad some of you only look at it as a slap in the face by BW. To me, this feels like BW urinating on my face and telling me it's cool, refreshing water.
  20. Still bugged on imp. Then got it again and left...so now I have a group finder lockout *facepalm*

  23. Server: Prophecy of the Five Focus: Raiding Current Progression: Working on TfB HM Op Days/Times: All Ops start at 8pm - 10:30pm EST. Days are selected as far in advance as possible, and determined by what is convenient for a majority of members. All signups are done via the calendar on the website. While we are working on bringing in members to fill out the ranks, we will pug spots as needed to fill them. Op perks: We strive to give our members benefits to running with the guild rather than pugging Ops. To that end, we offer stims and adrenals for ops, as well as guild financed repairs for the runs. We also have many members who can craft or procure 27 hilts, barrels, armorings, mods, and enhancements. Voice Comms: Vent Age requirement: 18+ Website: http://www.sithllyamazing.com/ New recruits have a 24 hr window to get registered on the site. Our story: We were formed by a group of long time, committed SWTOR players and friends. The core of Sithlly Amazing came from the same guild, which had been around since launch. We had become disenfranchised by many things in that guild, and decided to form our own focused raiding guild. Our vision is to selectively recruit players who will be highly active and able to contribute to the guild and it's progression in end-game raiding, while at the same time building a tight and close-knit guild. Raiding and improving your characters should be your #1 priority to be a good fit. We hope you find a home here, but it isn't for everyone. Please be sure to read the short Rules and Code of Conduct section located at the bottom of the website. Also, be aware that we are currently rebuilding, so it will take some time before we are reliant on pugs and/or group finder to fill a spot or two in raids.
  24. Agreed Khea. I know on my server and in the groups I was in, people only went afk long enough to smoke or bio or such. Anyone that was afk, whether alive or dead, for s substantial amount of time was removed from the group to allow another player who was going to help the group get the mobs down quicker. This method actually got multiple 24 man groups together with the people cooperating and working together with a single goal in mind: leveling. Our server yesterday had 7 instances for ilum. All 3 pylons stayed full. That means you had a total of 21 pylons with 24 players = 504 players. And with people still spamming in general looking for a group. Wow, group socialization and cooperation. We should certainly stamp that out immediately. There is absolutely no room in my MMO for that stuff. I want it to essentially be a single player game with a global chat box. For all the people who are whining about how bad it is for the game, I would say the opposite. It's actually getting people to play an MMO as if it were an MMO i.e. grouping together, cooperating, working together. How people think it's bad is beyond me
  25. That's why they give you the handy "Vote to kick" option For me, it's not that I am eager to skip the story and "win". I still do the full class quests and enjoy them immensely. However, what I don't enjoy is the fact that I have done the planetary missions so much that I can literally say the quest-giver's lines from memory. That get's just a mind-numbing as killing bots for 10 hours on the pylon. And for the guy that has a Clinton fetish, you are weak. This isn't rationalization. Back in the day, pre-50 level character's couldn't go to Ilum. If it was unintended, they would just revert back to that or make the line 45. It's not an exploit, it's working as intended. Bioware wants 50's for their new content. The more 50's they get, the more chance there's someone behind that 50 who is not a current subber or has not bought the x-pac. They don't care how you get to 50, they just want you there. And they get extra money from everyone buying the crap out of the xp boosts. So for them, win-win. The crybabies shouting about exploits, suspensions, roll-backs and the like need to get a life. It literally does not affect you. If you don't like it, or find something morally reprehensible about it, don't do it. This is not going to tear the fabric of space time and lead to destruction of the universe. Dumb players who don't know how to play their char or role in group finder? Already there, so a little late for that. Gold farmers? Been there since launch; they are a part of any MMO because people will pay for gold they don't have to grind. Imbalance the game? Not real sure how this works. Everyone that is against anything always cites game imbalance but never gives a concrete example of what exactly it is imbalancing. I call BS. It's cheating? How is it cheating exactly? Because they are leveling in a manner different from the holy grail of quests? You can already do that. I have friends who leveled strictly though WZ's. This isn't cheating. Below you will find the definition of cheating: The only category this could possibly fall into is to practice fraud or trickery. This was neither. Nothing that was required for the power leveling was done by fraud or trickery. Closest thing to that would be needing the 45 to click the panel, and I wouldn't call that fraud or trickery. For people that don't like it, don't do it. For me, it's a way to level without re-doing the same quests I've done countless time, or exclusively using WZ's which I don't like enough to do that much. It is seriously not affecting you. You play the game your way, everyone else can play it how they see fit. A lot of people in MMO's I think are closet fascists.
