  1. This bug has now been reported for over two years, and it has been over one year since the last information we had. Can we please get this fixed already? Absolutely insane that this issue has been left this long, it's time to get moving on it.
  2. It has now been over a year since this was reported, and the team has yet to fix an ANIMATION GLITCH or provide any information whatsoever beyond "we know about". This bug is also affecting people using Cartel Market lightsabers. Maybe that'll get it fixed.
  3. I've lost hope this will ever be fixed unless it somehow happens to break the ability to purchase cartel coins.
  4. >Full stupid with their anti-freedom-of-speech rules >The utter trash that is allowed in gen chat Hmmmm.
  5. It's been almost an entire year since we were told this is being worked on. Can we get an actual update on this situation and an ETA for the fix? 'We're still aware' isn't really a good answer after 11 months. What's the hold up? When's it coming?
  6. Still bugged after half a year. Can we expect the fix in the upcoming patch?
  7. Disappointing that it's taking so long to get an official response.
  8. Still no coins. Yes, I had the launcher ad and resubbed by the 7th.
  9. So it seems like they're just going to ignore that we didn't get our coins and hope it goes away.
  10. Also had the ad, subbed, never got the coins. I'm going to put in a ticket, I think.
  11. Summary of stream: New chapter in February! Hey guys, sub for a month and get HK-55! Sub from January to August and get A SINGLE CHAPTER WHERE YOU PLAY AS HK. (Spoiler alert: All previous chapters are like 30 minutes of content.) WHO WANTS A SHIRT? "We get a lot of positive player feedback look at all these cherry picked comments now let's ignore all the real issues people are asking about"
  12. I'm just incredibly confused as to why it's such a big deal that a companion (which is optional, and all companions are now the same but for appearance) requires PVP, and why it's such a big deal that future companions that require PVP could be locked behind this. I'm all for giving people an option to skip the PVP ones, if they will in fact lock ones requiring PVE content behind this - but be fair, give us an option to skip the PVE ones and only do the PVP ones, as wel. With all that said...I do think 4X was a bad choice for this, simply because he's the assault droid companion. The Republic one should have been a human of some kind as well - in other words, something we have a lot of, appearance wise. I still don't think it's such a big deal as it's made out to be, though. I say, do the content, get your comms and your companion, and you can use those comms on a PVP set for the next time the Gree event rolls around so you can't complain that gear is giving PVPers an advantage in the FFA quest section.
  13. Good on the devs for not backing down from PVP missions for companions, and I hope they do introduce more. If you want the companion that requires PVP, then you PVP. If you don't want to PVP, you don't get the companion. How is it any different from anything else in the game? If you want the PVP gear for looks for outfits, you have to PVP. If you want the shiny purples, you have to raid. If you don't do these then you don't get the reward. Why shouldn't this be similar? None of these companions requiring PVP are -required-. You don't NEED them. They're not tied to PVE progression, and because of the new choice of companion spec, they're interchangeable. There is nothing so unique and life altering about these companions that they should make them more available.
  14. I agree wholeheartedly with this letter. While I adore the game, it's heart-breaking to see large bugs go unfixed for years or more. As an example, I recall one of the alignment vendor equipment pieces, which I personally campaigned many, many months about, not working properly on several body types - for over a -year-. I don't know if Bioware simply isn't competent, I don't know if they just need more people, but whatever they do need, they need to get it and get it fast. This practice of leaving bugs for months and years is very unprofessional. Yes, software development takes time but there's no excuse for retasking your people to work on other things when large bugs still have not been squashed.
  15. So, as someone who's actually played both games for a while... Storytelling focus? Yes, in-game...it's not a change at all, they've always had a massive focus on storytelling but a lot of it has been done in books and comics outside of the game. Less focus on raids? No, not so much. More focus on group content? Uh... I guess. Sort of. If you consider "returning to a group content model that served WoW well in its first few expansions" copying KOTFE, sure. I mean, it was a thing they were doing before SWTOR even existed, but hey, why not? Level scaling - I will concede that it's an idea probably inspired by SWTOR and other games with such features, but it's a feature they've been testing with their instanced content for a few months now.
  16. I think, instead of cluttering up the TOR forums with this nonsense, whenever we get a hankering to complain that someone might not have to walk uphill both ways in a blizzard, we should instead head to the forums of That Other Game, or That Other Other Game That Starts With A T And Is Very Controversial For Its Portrayal Of Child-esque Characters In A Risque Fashion, and just read the threads their players have created on the same subject. Insta-slightly-lower-than-max-level isn't a new concept. It's probably not going to change, and I for one think it's wonderful. I also think the majority of people's fears are unfounded. There are already idiots, there have been idiots from the start of the game. I personally played That Other Game before and after the debacle, always pugged, and saw no real change in player ability within my groups. I think my anecdotal evidence is just as valid as your own.
  17. As a roleplay I also would like to know the answers to these questions, because as my GM said, we're not really interested in time-skipping a decade or two, we'd rather take our business elsewhere if it's going to be more than 5 years or so.
  18. I want to know more about this level 60 option. Is this one-time, is it something they're selling, what is it? Enhancing the 1-60 experience implies you'll still play through it, which would imply that the creation of fresh 60s is somehow restricted.
  19. All I have to add is that they do have an obligation to talk to us. No, it's not a legal one, but it's a obligation nonetheless, just because of one reason - the devs of other MMOs do. If they don't communicate, that is another reason for people to decide the product isn't worth paying for, and leave. That's what happens when you have competition, you have to provide an equal or better service, or you lose profit. I'm not trying to say the people going after the dev were right, because they weren't. However, the threat to stay silent is a very, very poor choice. A better reaction would be "Guys, don't do this, and just to make things a little safer we're not going to be using forum accounts with our actual names anymore." Or, you know, to not let the situation of communication get this bad in the first place. People wouldn't be so angry if we were getting decent communication like this from the start. And that's, again, not to say the people going after anyone are right, because, again, they aren't - but you have to assign blame in all the places, not just some. Think about this for a second - you're running a game that tons of people play and enjoy enough to spend money. You make changes, these changes are controversial, but you wait months and months to say anything... Yeah, that's going to upset people. So, in that respect, the devs have themselves to blame for not spending 20 minutes to dash off a few blog posts. They have a bit of the blame. The guys attacking them have most of it. tl;dr there's competition in the market and you have to provide a better service or you lose profit, threats of silence are not good service
  20. I'm considering starting a Kickstarter or something to try to raise 50 grand (Average US salary) to pay for BW to hire one extra person, from a pool of applicants who can demonstrate knowledge of playing the game and average competency with the tools they use, to take over PVP development. because that can't possibly turn out worse than the current path. Edit: Scratch the competency thing, let's make that knowledge of playing the game and the tiniest shred of common sense.
  21. The fact that the community feels any class reps would feel so frustrated with the updates and responses that they would quit before a single cycle had completed, is yet another reason that changes are grossly needed.
  22. Maybe. Maybe not. But anything is better than the current state of affairs, no?
  23. Consistently, no one is satisfied with the changes Bioware makes to class balancing. Why not bring back Class Reps and their developer QA so we can have some actual answers and dialogue? As an example I point to the current fiasco of marauders. I have yet to see a single marauder satisfied by these examples, Bioware will not be responding to any of the good points raised that call light to flaws in their "metrics", and the class will have even less of a presence in end-game. Further, generic game-related questions need to be added to the class rep system as well. An example being the "exploit" involving transferring WZ comms via stronghold titles. Rather than just fixing the exploit, why not address the underlying cause - you've given us a system (Bolster) that doesn't work intuitively at all (you need to be using gear from the last expansion to be anything but a free kill when depending on bolster while gearing), a method that Bioware will not even officially acknowledge, which leads to players simply queuing up in their PVE gear thinking Bolster will account for it, and being useless. Adding generic game-related questions to the system would help address key issues like these and obtain actual developer dialogue on many key issues frustrating the playerbase, including fun topics like "Why do Operations encounters seem to be consistently favoring ranged over melee more and more". We need systems that encourage more dialogue and more transparency, not more "Here's why we did this, you'd better like it because we're not changing it".
  24. Anything that "fixes" Expertise/bolster needs to also not make anything except PVP the way to get the best PVP gear. PVPers shouldn't have to raid for the best PVP gear. Similarly, PVEers should not be able to come into PVP and expect to do excellently in their PVE gear.
  25. If you guys are taking random people along, I'll be throwing an op healer or a hatred sin at ya. Is there a ranked custom chat channel or something where stuff like this gets organized in game?
