  1. Hi guys, I've been playing a lot less lately (around one night a week), and am considering making the switch from Subscriber to Preferred, at least for the summer. That said, I'm trying to figure out what I will lose so that I can make the appropriate Cartel Market purchases. From what I understand, I will lose the following for my max-level character(s): The ability to wear purple (Artifact) gear (as well as Event gear) The ability to use customizations, including Titles, Unify Colors, Hide Head Slot, and Companion Customizations Access to Quickslots 5 and 6 Access to any amount of characters greater than 6 The ability to send credits via mail Access to Section X Unlimited access to WZ's and FP's ALL access to OPs Access to credits over 350k However, I don't think I will lose access to the items I've spent credits on: Cargo Bays Inventory modules Anything purchased or unlocked through the Legacy System Is this correct? I want to make the right Cartel purchases so that I can still play a couple FPs or WZs a week during my haitus, and need to know what actually "disappears" when I make the transition. Any help would be appreciated!
  2. Have the devs even acknowledged that this bug exists? Do they know? It's not on the known issues list, and the only post I saw about bolster was completely unrelated to this glitch.
  3. lolwut Bolster just makes it so you don't get one-shot. Buy some gear.
  4. If Papa Smurf existed in the Star Wars universe, wouldn't you just end up with "Avatar With Lightsabers"?
  5. The best thing about SirCopperfield threads is the contrast with SirMarty threads! SirCopperfield: I R GAMMING LEJEND All: You certainly are. The entire gaming community is better for your presence. SirMarty: I R GAMMING LEJEND All: SHUT UP MARTY! You're out of your element!
  6. Okay. Listen. I've got a compromise. Let me know what you think: What if subscribers were given some Cartel Coins every month for free? Then, subscribers wouldn't need to pay extra for anything!
  7. You... do you guys have even the most basic understanding of how random chance works? Like... if you get a certain warzone three times in a row, then later get it two times in a row, that doesn't somehow count as five in a row. Getting the same warzone three times in a row is a 4% chance - 1 in every 25. That's not rare. At all. Ten in a row is exceptionally rare. Three in a row is common enough to notice. That is how random chance works.
  8. That's the thing - this isn't like the space missions at all. Space missions begin as space missions, continue as space missions, and end as space missions. You can play the first one, say "I don't like this at all", and never touch one again. What space missions don't do is start as a story-based puzzle-solving questline, then spontaneously change into a rail shooter 3/4's of the way through. In my quest log, I've got a section for Macrobinocular quests. I've got a section for Seeker Droid quests. I do not have a section for Jumping On Things With Terrible Controls Because You Hate Yourself quests. If there are people who like that, then fine - let's build a quest line for them that I can skip entirely because nothing in that quest line interests me. I've even got a cool name for it: "Datacrons". Think it'll catch on?
  9. Sure. That's the exact thing I said. Reading comprehension FTW
  10. The bits with required precise jumping in this game really, really anger me. It's like when you play an action game on a console and stumble upon a poorly-designed stealth or vehicle level out of nowhere - why abuse your game engine into doing something that it clearly does poorly? If the jumping controls weren't absolutely horrible, that might be one thing. But the team (rightfully) spent their development time on the MMO part of the MMO. I don't mind when jumping is needed for achievements or datacrons, but quests? That's the primary content of an MMO, and it's being butchered by requiring platform jumping with terrible controls. BioWare. Stop. Making. Platform Jumping. Required. For. Quests.
  11. Grab the Macrobinocular and Seeker Droid missions too - they unlock at level 52, and open up daily quests on several planets once acquired.
  12. You know that they increased all other stats to compensate, right? And that the end result is that EWH works better in WZs than it did before?
  13. Why not just use a completely different Bolster formula for L55: IF Expertise < 1200 THEN Expertise = 1200 Change number as needed for balance, modify no other stats. Done.
