  1. The gearing reward system is just sloppy. Why are pvp loot boxes rewarding level 10s with level 70 bound gear? It is going to be 60 levels before they can use it. All of my under 45 characters have at least 5-10 level 70 pieces. This is like basic planning for rewards.
  2. I also support. I came back after a break and didn't really understand the choices.
  3. Finding a fun name that fits a character is becoming a huge pain. Finding a suitable, fun name takes far longer than making a character. It is really frustrating. This is especially true for new players. I actively try to recruit for the game via streaming, tiktok, facebook, etc, and the number one complain is the fact that no names are available. This goes beyond just taken names though. The restrictions are too tight. I wanted to create a name similar in style and strucutre Obi-wan Kenobi or Ki-Adi-Mundi. Like Kenyo-Tal Bewaz or Tel-Visha-Ba, but these would not be allowed. Honestly, please allow multiple spaces, remove the required 3 characters after a space, etc. We really need to open these options up.
  4. I submitted a ticket for this and was denied. I have tried this in other games and my requests have been granted so I'm really sad they don't do it in this game.
  5. I agree. I can't emphasize what a downer it is to make a character that looks awesome and then spend three times as much time looking for a name that isn't taken. I really hope Bioware unlocks or releases names for characters that have not been played in a long time. I would buy sooo many name changes. Bioware, take my money for name changes!
  6. When the servers were consolidated I lost the names for about half my characters, including my main character. It really killed my interest in the game and I eventually stopped subscribing. I recently came back and am enjoying the game...but even more of my characters have lost their name. Was there another server consolidation? What bothers me is the number of names that are being held by players that left a long time ago but and are just sitting on the names that subscribing players lost. It is really frustrating. Can Bioware find some solution to get us our names back?
  7. No. Just, no. That's like saying a smuggler is as good as playing a BH. It's different.
  8. I am very unhappy with the class selection SWTOR has to offer. I know Bioware would like to claim that there are 8 advanced classes on each side, but it really feels as if there are on 4 classes in the game. The only mirror classes should have been Jedi/Sith. I mean, at the very least allow the factions to have all classes so at least visually there is more armor diversity.
  9. ...was because I had no more character slots on my server. I had bought Cataclysm and made my goblin rogue and loved her. However, to play a Worgen character I would have had to go to a different server. This was unacceptable. So I came to SWTOR. I am in love with this game. As much as I was in WoW when I started. Yet, now I already have one character slot left and I'm battling over what to unlock for legacy. This is not a threat. I doubt Bioware would listen to one person threat. It is feedback though. I want to play SWTOR with tons of characters for years to come. In short... Give us character slots and TAKE MY MONEY.
  10. But that's the problem. The characters are so locked in. We need some freedom. They really need to open it up, because it's boring and hurts the story to see ALL of the player troopers on one side, and ALL the bounty hunters on the other. It's good story telling to allow it.
  11. What do you mean it doesn't work story wise at all? The trooper story is ABOUT switching to the other side. In fact, you even have responses as a republic trooper indicating you may have some leanings towards your former team mates who went to the Empire.
  12. But...none of my characters are related. Each character has a different surname. I wish we could have a surname different from our legacy name.
  13. Look, I really love Mass Effect. I really love SWTOR. My time in SWTOR has been the most fun i've had in an MMO in a loooooooooong time. Like years. However, I feel restricted. I feel so restrained in terms of my character. It drives me insane that I can't have an Empire trooper. I think about it every time I see an Empire soldier in some insanely cool looking Empire gear. I understand maybe there were not enough resources to make stories for an Empire trooper, or other switch. But at level 50...there really needs to be a faction switch quest. Otherwise this feels less like an MMO where you can be who you want, and more Mass Effect where your decisions don't really matter and you are lead to the same boring end whose only difference is some color scheme.
  14. I'm really not enjoying the fact that I can't be an Empire trooper. Being Republic isn't the same.
  15. I am in love with this game. I really am. I came from World of Warcraft and was just bored out of my mind. The life that Bioware has infused into my characters with voice and facial expressions is by far the most immersive experience I have ever had in any MMO. Having said that...I can't emphasize how frustrated I feel over the implementation of surnames. I mean, one surname for ALL of my characters? My human imperial agent has a surname...and it makes no sense for my Zabrak Sith warrior to have the same last name, or my Twi'lek inquisitor. It would be like Luke Skywalker, Han Skywalker, Chewbaca Skywalker, Lando Skywalker. A lot of my characters are intertwined as friends/allies/rivals/lovers and I understand the idea for the whole legacy having a name. Yet, even then...in Stars Wars mythos it is the Skywalker/Solo legacy. Please allow all my characters to have their own surname. Having one legacy makes sense.
